Glimpsetv: Angry JAMB Candidates Smash Chairs at Ibadan Exam Centre Over Technical Glitch
A wave of anger swept through a JAMB examination centre in Ibadan, Oyo State, as frustrated candidates went on a rampage, damaging chairs and other properties. The unrest followed a reported technical fault that caused delays in the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The chaos broke out on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Abimbola Excel School CBT centre situated in the Elesin, Amuloko area along Akanran Road in Ona Ara Local Government Area of Ibadan.
Footage obtained by IntelRegion revealed the agitated candidates venting their frustration by vandalizing plastic chairs within the exam hall, expressing outrage over their inability to participate in the scheduled test. Although security officials eventually arrived to calm the situation and restore order, there were no reports of any arrests made during the incident.
This disruption adds to a series of recurring technical issues that have plagued the UTME in recent years. Similar challenges were recorded in 2024, prompting JAMB to reschedule affected students’ examinations. The 2025 UTME officially began on Thursday, drawing over two million participants nationwide aiming for admission into various tertiary institutions.
According to figures released by JAMB officials, a total of 2,030,627 candidates registered to take the exam across multiple centres in Nigeria.
Interestingly, among those registered, 41,026 candidates are below the age of 16. Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the JAMB spokesperson, noted that the board had made necessary adjustments in collaboration with its partner agencies to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams despite such interruptions.
Glimpsetv: U.S.-Based Nigerian Man Cries for Help as He Faces 20 Years to Life in Prison Over $200K Pickup in 2018
A Nigerian man based in the United States has made an emotional appeal for help, revealing that he could face 20 years to life in a U.S. prison for acting as a middleman in a $200,000 transaction that took place in 2018.
According to him, he was minding his own business when a friend contacted him, requesting his help to receive $200,000 from someone on his behalf. The friend, known to be a "baller" (a slang term for someone who spends lavishly), told him that he could keep $50,000 from the amount and send the remaining balance after receiving it. Tempted by the offer and seeing it as an opportunity to solve many of his financial problems at the time, he agreed.
He stated that the incident happened in 2018, but to his utter shock, his lawyer contacted him last night and asked him to come to the office urgently. The lawyer disclosed that the FBI had issued a warrant for his arrest, revealing that the woman who was allegedly scammed out of the money had committed suicide.
The man explained that he has since lost contact with the friend who involved him in the deal. He has made several attempts to reach him, but the number is no longer reachable, and there is no other way to get in touch. As it stands, he is the only person authorities have been able to trace the money to—because shortly after the woman transferred the funds, she took her own life.
He lamented that despite living in the U.S. for years, he hasn’t achieved anything significant. He hasn’t built a house or even bought a car, and now he has to face the shame of telling his mother that he’s going to prison in a foreign land for a crime he claims he neither committed nor fully understood.
The video of his emotional outburst has gone viral and sparked mixed reactions online. Please watch the trending video and share your thoughts in the comments.
Glimpsetv: A Nigerian female soldier has called out a civilian prankster and content creator who poured water on her while she was in uniform, all in the name of a prank. According to the soldier, she seized the prankster’s phone at the scene, but the female content creator still went ahead and posted the video online.
She revealed that it was her colleagues who woke her up with calls in the morning, sending her the now-viral video. That was when she realized the prankster must have used a second phone to film the incident and uploaded it despite her phone being seized.
Reacting to the situation and showing the part of the video where the prankster poured water on her, the soldier said, “I’m waiting for her to come and collect this phone. I’ll teach her how to prank. These Nigerian pranksters need to learn a lot. Since they don’t know how to respect people, they will learn...”
The video has sparked mixed reactions online. While many condemned the prankster’s actions, others are eagerly watching to see if she will dare to retrieve the phone from the soldier.

meedoLock: So, it's weekend tomorrow and I had a course to enter First Bank for a business tax payment yesterday for my boss. So the thought crossed my mind after I was told there was no network that "come o, when was even the last time I used my commercial bank to dispense cash'
I can't even tell where I placed my debit card at home. Because you can't confidently go to the bank ATM stand when you need a cash.
Thanks to mini bank (pos). And this lack of service never stopped these banks from debiting your accounts every now and then for ATM services. How!!!! When
My concern is that govt are really not doing anything about this long time financial injustice. We seriously need our banks back?
So unfortunate that the machine is no longer in vogue. They killed everything killable
Sharpsharp00123: Top of the hour to you wherever you are reading this, I saw a topic on front-page of how orubebe ( the infamous we will not take this crooner) is now an APC chieftain who welcome the newly defected Delta state governor.
One thing that came to my mind was that who would have believed orubebe of all people will join APC?
Then I remember a question on twitter that "what did people do to make you turn your back on them forever".
I saw many reply that " because he voted Tinubu"
Now to the question, you decide to cut ties with people cos they voted who isn't your candidate, what if obi becomes an ally to Tinubu tomorrow
What will you say? Will you go back to them and ask for forgiveness? Will you start saying sorry?
I am just confused knowing fully well that no permanent friend or enemy in politics.
If he joins, he'll lose followers. Obedience are not party or person followers.
Don't be deceive with sound similarity between OBI and Obedience
God1000: Pope Francis’ wooden coffin was sealed on Friday night, in a private rite that officially ends three days of his body lying in state at the Vatican.
About 250,000 people filed through St. Peter’s Basilica to pay their final respects to Francis, who was the first pope from Latin America and the first from the Jesuit order.
The liturgical rite of closing his coffin was led by the Cardinal Camerlengo Kevin Farrell, the acting head of the church, who is tasked with making arrangements for the pope’s funeral. Farrell, a Dublin-born cleric who became a naturalized American citizen, was formerly the Bishop of Dallas, in Texas.
SmartyPants: People here amaze me honestly - the metal ones don't last for days because they get stolen - but a low-cost solution that will at least give you a year is "it won't work". So what will work engineer sir?
Don't last cos they got stolen?

Is it possible to file for divorce through Ministry of Women affairs and social inclusions?
I have been manipulated by my "wife", in quote because I didn't pay her bride price, I did an introduction and they collected an EMPIRE BASKET full of fruits
We had 3 children together but my wife is JOBLESS and DESTRUCTIVE at the same time (double tragedy) I had set up a business for her on 3 different occasions but failed, I even sold my car and gave her the money without taking a dime.
We had a misunderstanding on 26/11/2024 and she went to bring civil defense officers to my place of work, on 27th/11/2024 I sent her packing.
They are currently at BARIKA, UI second gate, Ibadan, living with the grandmother. I told her to enrol the children in public schools in IBADAN, I gave her #30,200 in addition to 50 exercise books, school bag, 5kg rice, SALLAH clothe, school sandals. The items were sent through a commercial driver but she lied. I went to IBADAN on 18/4/2025 only to discovered that the children are not in school, they are helping the grandmother to sell OGOGORO in her shop.
I knelt down and begged the grandmother several times, I left IBADAN around 7:20pm and arrived ILORIN around 11:37pm due to heavy downpour. The grandmother is not responding to calls from my family members, even as I speak
I went to SANGO police station but I was told to go to the ministry of women affairs and social inclusions.
A date has been fixed 5/5/2025. I want the children to be enrolled in public schools and I will be sending the necessary writing materials and school fees through the School principal and class teachers
