I applied for the eligible 25% of my pension 12 years ago when I was moving to the US. They still have my 75% with them.

These people have billions of our hard earned salaries with them saying they are waiting for us to pass 55 years old before they release the remaining 75%. Lol

Our phones, earbuds, smartwatches, and tablets are essential to everyday life — but many of us are unknowingly harming them every single day. From overcharging batteries to ignoring system updates, these common habits can slowly destroy your gadgets.

Don't worry — it’s not too late to fix it.

Here are 7 smart (and simple) tech tips to keep your devices safe, fast, and lasting longer.

🔌 1. Stop Overcharging Your Phone Overnight
Yes, it’s convenient — but charging your phone to 100% overnight every night weakens your battery over time. Lithium-ion batteries prefer staying between 20% and 90%.

✅ Do this instead:
Unplug once it hits around 90% or use your phone’s optimized charging setting if available.

📲 2. Don’t Ignore Software Updates
Updates aren’t just for looks — they often contain critical bug fixes, security patches, and performance boosts. Skipping them puts your device at risk.

✅ Do this instead:
Schedule regular update checks and enable auto-updates if you tend to forget.

💾 3. Avoid Filling Up Your Storage to the Max
When your phone’s storage is 90–100% full, it slows down dramatically and increases wear on internal memory.

✅ Do this instead:
Regularly delete junk files, offload large videos to cloud storage, or invest in expandable memory.

⚡ 4. Using Cheap Chargers Can Be Dangerous
That bargain bin charger might save cash, but it could fry your device — or even start a fire.

✅ Do this instead:
Stick to original or certified third-party chargers from trusted brands.

📷 5. Never Forget to Clean Your Ports and Lenses
Dirt and lint in charging ports can prevent proper charging. Dirty lenses = blurry photos. It’s a simple fix we often overlook.

✅ Do this instead:
Clean with a soft brush, microfiber cloth, or canned air every couple of weeks.

🌐 6. Connecting to Any Free Wi-Fi You See? Stop.
Public Wi-Fi without proper security can expose your device to hackers and malware.

✅ Do this instead:
Use a VPN or stick to secure, trusted networks — especially when entering passwords or making payments.

🔋 7. Running Your Battery to 0% Daily Is Killing It
Consistently draining your battery to zero shortens its lifespan significantly.

✅ Do this instead:
Keep your charge between 20% and 80% for optimal health.

The truth is: most tech damage comes from what we don’t know. But now you do.

Treat your gadgets right, and they’ll serve you longer, faster, and better. Start changing these small habits today — your future self (and your wallet) will thank you.

Good morning people. I noticed that majority of users on this site live in Lagos.

Most of my childhood friends have traveled to Lagos.

That aside, I want to relocate to Lagos. I have an uncle that used to stay in orile (2018).

I can camp in his house for the main time.

If I come to Lagos, can I get a job that can pay me like 100k and above every month. I have my waec and neco. I just turned 25.

I feel if I change environment, things will begin to go well for me.. and I heard there are lots of jobs in Lagos.

Here in the east, no work or company. Only Keke bus business that's thriving

Please can I make it in Lagos? I need suggestions. This is a life changing decision please

It's worrisome to see common trends amongst most GOS or Church Founders especially in Nigeria.

1. They abuse their powers by arresting and putting in prison anyone who speaks against them. What then is the difference between them and politicians?

2. They oppress younger ministers they perceive carry unusual grace. And when such ministers try to leave to establish their own ministries, they frustrate them.

I could go on and on.

These evil trends should stop. Otherwise, they will be cast away on judgement day. God is no respecter of persons.
