Thanks @femiaction but pls what professional body recognised by SAQA can I register with as a microbiologist and how can I register?
And I'm i going to pay one price for both my transcript and BSc certificate? And for wace just certificate right? I don't need to get the break down of the wace result?
And for the CTC is it just going to be a stamp on each copy? And where is high court in Lagos..and how fast will I be attended to at the high Court?
And can by Bf in SA pay for SAQA and with professional body from south Africa with his card? kiss
check d list of professional body at d bottom of the site I gave you. You can take it to ministry of Justice alausa Ikeja for CTC stamp. Yes only wace certificate. You can do only Bsc which will cost you 950 rands. If you have masters is 520 rands. SAQA fees is 950 rands for first certificate and d rest will cost 520 rands each. Yes Your friend or family can help you to pay d fee here in South.

Hello everyone,
It's my first time posting here and I couldn't find much about the critical skills visa on here.

Pls I need someone to gide me step by step on the SAQA and professional body registration thing, how do I go about it?
I'm a microbiology graduate. what professional body can I register with and how do I go about the registration?

And for SAQA do I need to include my primary and senior school leaving certificate, with my transcript and university certificate for submission? And do I send all together or separately? And will they all be scanned copies?

What is the fastest way for submission as I'm in Lagos now..online or by courier?..and if by courier, who do I address it to?
Thanks
Hello, concerning the SAQA u need your wace certificate, Bsc certificate and your transcripts. You will take the photocopy of all to high court for certified true copy (CTC). I will advise you to use courier service. You will send all in one envelope to SAQA physical office. Mind you SAQA is 950 rands for your first certificate which is wace then 520 rands for your Bcs then if you have masters is another 520 rands. Concerning the critical skills check this link www.dha.gov.za/index.php/immigration-services/scarce-skills-work-permits . thanks

Happy Sunday great men in the house, thanks for the help so far. i work at the moment but I dont plan to submit a letter of introduction from my employer as it might delay my application- do I still need to state where I work on my application for a study visa since I am planning to use a sponsor (letter and statement of acc) Also is it imperative to put a copy of my marriage certificate? If yes, do I need to also get it notarised? Kindly help!
Hello guy, you don't need any letter from your employer when u have sponsor. Just leave the space ie you are not working. You have to put your marriage certificate if you are married. Yes you have to notarized it. Thanks

Thanks for the all the responses. Is it adviceable that I do my medicals at a private hospital or govt hospital? I also dont have an idea of the things to include in the letter of introduction to the embassy. Thanks for the help- getting free help these days is almost a mirage. Cheers!
Good morning, I will advise you to do you medical at government hospital. Concerning the introduction letter, let them know your status married or not, where you reside, your work, let them your purpose of going to South Africa. If it is study or visiting give them the details of your host. Hope this will help. Please others add to this. Thanks Happy Sunday

Happy new yr. I have been seeing for BI-1738 for Study visa and it has just 13pages. Am I looking for the wrong form? I am planning to apply for study permit without SAQA- due to the possibility of getting the certificate late- what is the possibility of being granted? I am to be in Bloem for my PhD before March.
Same to you brother. The form Bi -1738 is for study permit, work permit and other permit for temporary residence permit in South Africa. Go to South Africa embassy on Tuesday 5th Jan they will check all your documents. If they need SAQA they will ask for it. Please go with your CTC of your transcripts and your certificate plus your admissions letter. Thanks

@Femiactio, thanks.Taken.
@Keneking,i'v done my own momentum since august.this one is for dependants(my wife and kids)who are due to join me soon. The online payment I was talking about is that there is a website under the payment options of UCT for online payment.when I followed up d site,it took me to d point of entering the amount and card details. My thought is dat if one supplies this details,d amount would be deducted and d payment subsequently made. For the momentum,i will attempt d card payment when I come back from d Embassy in january. The school fees.....that is my headache now. I will make enquiries about d form A and any other option in Lagos banks next week.Infact, initially I thought Stanbic bank is a subsidiary of Standard bank in SA and so they will have a free flow transaction without hassles. I was wrong! I opened domiciliary account with them in 2013 in order to pay the application fee. To my surprise, I had to pay a charge of 17K just for R600. Infact, I'm tired jare!!!
Happy new year brother. My wife is doing her PhD on scholarship so she didn't pay any tuition fee.

@Femiaction, Compliments of the season to you too bro. How is the family? Thanks for that, that is clear now.i av 2 payments to make:momentum health plan and school fees.both av option of online card payment. Also, what about d valid return or onward ticket number section?what am I going to fill there bcs I learnt flight itinerary should be booked a day b4 submission of d visa form. Finally, I'm I submitting d relevant pages of d form alone(pages 1-7) or d entire 20 pages? Sorry for the questions,i learnt those people at d embassy are crazy indeed!
Thanks brother, you can book your flight reservation now and fill the date you want to travel as it stated in your reservation in that section. It's only your medical plan you have to pay with your card.

No problem, same here too. May God bless our hustle. But yet to get over d costly mistake I made about filling my visa application at d wrong place. My prayer is that by the time I re-apply in january it will meet up with my early february resumption. By the way, someone was even suggesting I go to Abuja bcs it's easy up there than lagos but takes longer(up to 6 wks). My fear in that is will it come out b4 resumption. I'm just confused!
Sir don't let anybody confuse you. I was a victim of this when I want to applied for my critical skills work permit. I went to Abuja 2 times without any successful outcome. Even one guy that come from Lagos for study permit, the lady told him to go back to Lagos and submit it there. I submitted my application in Lagos and they told me after 6 weeks, to my surprise after 4day they called me from the embassy and when i got there they asked me about my Engineering council of South Africa certificate because I submitted a letter confirming my registration. God really showed me favour on that morning my wife sent the tracking number of the certificate to me that the certificate was ready for collection at post office. 3 days later I got my work permit. Sir it was God's favour. By January go and submit your application in Lagos and God will show you favour. Lastly brother be prayerful.

@ femiaction, u absolutely got me wrong. I was throwing my mind open to everyone, not u in any way. That is why I don't like commenting on social media like this. About 2 or 3 of us posted in a row and u happened to be d only one responding to us. It's just like when a teacher is asking question in d class and only one student keeps answering. If d teacher asks why it's only a student answering his question, would it get d student angry? Rather to me, it's just a way of challenging other students to live up. That's all. So I don't think I deserve to be hammered that deep by u, neither do I want this dragged any further and ultimately derail d thread. Before I know it now, someone will come and bash me for accusing all of not responding to questions except u. That's humans we are!
Brother i am sorry , don't be angry with me. We are here to help each other in this forum. I posted what I know and experiences since I came to Republic about SAQA. I went for several interviews both government and private company. The first they asked was my SAQA and my Engineering council of South Africa certificate because they want to know my Qualifications equivalent to the SA Qualifications. Then secondly their government is making money from foreigners.

Is Femiaction d only person on this forum? Why is he d only one responding to questions. Just as omidoyinJoshua pointed out, some schools like UCT has direct link wit saqa which they use in evaluating documents before admitting students. Therefore, they don't request for saqa as part of supporting docs for offering admission. Has anybody had this experience of not submitting saqa to d embassy and granted visa? Let d person share wit us pls.
Hey meanaingstdem try to read and understand post very well before making any comments. Is it a crime to response to a post? Then mind you I am here not for competitions. They were asking about SAQA for study permit. I just advice them that they will need saqa if you want to work in SA then Most university in Durban will need saqa certificate for admission. I was trained by people here in this forum before I got my critical skills work and my wife PhD study permit I did it by myself with help of God and good people in this forum like Samtol4, shine777 , yinksob002, sultan003 PYR8TE, CHEMASHIE and other. Then lastly its a forum what is your contribution? when you see fault in someone that is use his precious time to reply post here. It's free world my brother you can make post anything you know about SAQA, admission and permit here. Don't make reference to anybody. try to post what you know. Thanks

Hello house, very soon I'd like to travel to sa for school (flying school to be precise). I read most of the requirements for the visa stuff but what I want to clarify is that the official bank statement, is it going to be your sponsors bank account or your sponsor has to transfer the money into your bank account. Secondly, are going to book a flight before or after the visa is been granted? Finally how long does it take to grant your visa application
Brother don't confuse yourself here, use only your sponsor bank account. One account is okay. It's just flight reservation.

Brother, don't complicate things here. I am not asking about your qualifications I am asking about the documents that you have to submit with your PhD admission letter. I mean
1 Saqa
2 proof of residence
3 yellow card
4 medical (Government hospital in Nigeria)
5 Medical Aid ( South Africa)
6 bank statement
7 Citified true copy of your certificate and transcripts
8 PhD admission letter. etc
South Africa is okay for me because i planed it very well before i left Nigeria and God granted me and my family favour. It's not good for the people that want to hussle.

Hello house. I'm not just a happy man tonight. I was at vsf office in lekki this monday to apply for my PhD study visa only to receive my passport 2day wit my application denied. Reason: I should apply for a study visa, which is done at d SA embassy. All along, nobody ever told me that I was in a wrong place(vsf). When I called one of their staff showing my displeasure on why he didn't tell me moreso he was d one that screened my documents, he said most times SA embassy do direct applicants to them. What I'm hearing now is that d embassy will go on d year's break 2moro friday 18 till january and I'm supposed to resume school by 1st or 2nd week in february. Can someone take his/her time to advise me candidly here please. As I'm typing this, I'm having a serious emotional breakdown. Where do I start from? Any hope for me? Upon all the money I sank in lagos-transport, lodging etc. Honestly, this is not d best of time for me.
Hello, you don't have any problem but you created one for yourself. You are not denied but in wrong place. You have to wait until the embassy resume in January. Hope you have all required documents! Embassy is checking documents on Tuesdays, paying of visa fee to bank on Wednesday and back to embassy to submit on Thursdays.
