Hello house.. Please I would like to ask what am ignorant about.. I am a graduate of University of East London and I would like to do my Masters at Unizulu or any reputable university.. Please what is the first step I need.... And I also have three months multiple entries visa which am planning to visit S.A this Jan.. I know I cant covert my visiting visa to student visa but I want to visit and stay in S.A for at least two months for study how the country looks like..

My question again...
1) Please what is the first step I need to take
2) Do I need to certified my certs at any department
3) Like how much this student visa processing will cost me

Happy new year guys... This year we shall keep elevating ISA & IJN
Hello macafeez, please please clarify your questions very well. Where did studied your undergraduate I mean the country? Was it SA or was it online? If you have foreign qualifications you need to do Saqa ie qualification evaluation before you can apply for your master

That's nice bro. I'm also heading to unizulu for my PhD too but still awaiting UKZN decision till February before processing my study permit.
My own admission letter didn't carry my passport number. I want to be sure if they didn't make mistake on my admission letter

Hello Femdot , there is no problem with it. You have to submit the two passport and in your introduction letter you have to indicates that you have new passport. Thanks

Happy new year to you too femiaction, the problem is i have already submitted my passport to the SA embassy for visit visa through an agent before discovering this thread if not i would have applied for student visa, so is there no possibility of me applying for even a short term resident permit within the 30 days i will be permitted to stay.
Hi Mokane28, the immigration officer at the airport will give you numbers of days you booked for your hotel reservation. You can not change your visiting visa here in SA.

It's like femiaction is the type of Nigerians that doesn't like fellow Nigerians to join them in the country they are residing or he just refused to understand my question, another SA guru or resident should please answer my question and my question is i' m coming to SA with a visit visa, is there a way i can be extending the visa by going to SA neighboring counrries to get fresh SA visa or extending it inside SA or is there a way i can convert the visit visa to temporary resident permit in SA within the 30 days i'm permitted to stay either by marrying a South African or doing life partner with a South African,i have about $3000 US DOLLARS i can spare to buy a business or start one can this help me get a temporary resident permit?
Happy new year mokane28, please I don't know you from Adam. If you want to come to SA to study or critical skills work permit I can guide you through my little experience but on visiting visa I can't advise you to come to SA because you will regret your coming. Thanks

Hello guru in da aos... I want ask if an artisan like (plumber, welder roofer) can apply for critical skills visa or better still u get tourist first then wen you get there u can apply for critical skill...
Morning brother, please don't come to SA with visiting/tourist visa because you will regret and blame yourself. Critical skills work permit is for people that have first degree or equivalent with work experience in engineering, science, medical IT expert and other. It depends on how you package your application. Thanks

Hello fellas...what is ur opinion on sa Asylum?..My friend over dere says he cant afford work permit now dat he would go for d Asylum and he can use d docs to get a regular job...I need ur opinions pls..Thx
Bros I told you before please don't come to SA in order to leave Nigeria. That your friend is your enemy. It is not a good friend at all. He just want to take money from you. South Africa is not giving Asylum to Nigerians. If you came to SA because you want to go out of the country you will regret your actions. SA is not the best country for hustlers from Nigerian now.

I got my Critical Skills (Work) Visa within 7 days last week in Lagos after being denied twice in SA on funny reason.

They rejected my first application in June, 2016 because of ECSA while I attached a letter from ECSA because my Certificate was not ready.

I applied again in September, 2016 now my ECSA certificate was attached. Those guys still denied me. The reason was that I did not supply a proof that I studied in my school in 2015 and 2016. Despite the fact that I know that Appeal take minimum eight month, I appealed that unthinkable reason. In the process I missed two sure job, I was offered Graduate Assistant in my Department but I couldn't take because HR asked to produce my Work Permit.

December 8, 2016 I flew into Nigeria, did Nigeria Police Character Clearance. Submitted at VFS and within 7 days my visa landed. Those guys are making money off us. Each application cost R3,850 and Appeal cost R1,350. Nah hin I do for N59,000 including Courier in Lagos.

I hope to get my SA ID before this time in 2017 by God's grace. Anyone can do it also.
congratulations brother. I told you before you left Durban. Regards to your family. We are expecting your family in Durban 2007

Brother you can apply for critical skills work permit. IT is also under critical skills in South Africa. Critical skills work permit can lead to permanent residence permit. You have a brighter future. Please don't come to South Africa with 3 month visiting Visa.

Helli guys...please I need some clarification..I wanna relocate to SA in January but I have 2 different sources who are giving me confusing information...
My friend relocated about 3 months ago and he is saying I MUAT get an invitation letter alongside my visa before im granted entry at d immigration..He is charging me 200k for d visa and 60k for d invitation dat 260k to enter sa.And he is also saying if i book a hotwl and im coming on a 1 month visa dat I must pay for d 1 month and I will provide d proof of payment at d immigration..Abeg I neva hear dat one before. Of course im not a fool when information full everywhere..
Secondly d other guy is a visa agent who advertised his advert on nairaland and charged 110k for d visa and says I dont need any invitation dat I just need to book a hotel..
Please can someone shed some light on this pls..thanx
Hello Mystical, your friend is a liar. please don't come to South Africa please. You will just waste your money and your time if you come to South Africa. Because if you get 3 month visa you can not extend it and you can not change your status in South Africa. There is not job for hustlers in South Africa. Look for another country brother. Thanks

Good day everyone,
I'm really glad to be a member of this forum. I have been following this particular thread for sometime now. In fact, the information I gathered from here enabled me to apply for my visa and it was out within 6 days in Lagos and I will be travelling by December.

However, I will like gurus in the house to clarify me on the following cuz this will be my first time of travelling out.

In my visa application I stated I will be attending a conference between 19th November to 30th December and i believe my visa was granted on that basis cuz it came out quick but for some reasons I will no longer attend the conference but would want to utilize the visa by second week of December.

Now my questions are: hope the purpose of my visit will not affect me at the port of entry since I will be travelling on a different date? I mean is there a way the immigration officers at the port of entry detect this and refuse one entry?

Again, hope I can use the visa any time for visiting aside the time and reason stated on my application.

Answers needed asap

Hello Swith, you said that you want to submit your study permit this week, why are you asking questions again. If it is south Africa study permit YES you need admission letter from SA university. You can use your mum's bank statement.Study permit takes 2weeks in lagos. Thanks

Warning !!!!!!!!!!! Please don't come to South Africa on visitor's visa if your intension is to reside in republic. No more renewal of asylum permit for Nigerian. A friend told that God saved him yesterday when he went to renewal his asylum permit. The immigration arrested people mostly Nigerian in Pretoria office. If you want to come to SA try to get study permit or work permit. Even the country change their law every time. Thanks
