Please there's this New Generation church next door to me that won't relent in causing noise pollution in the area.

They start service before you leave for church and are still there when you're back and atimes up to lunch time . They do all-nights every Friday and have several meetings/ programs during the week.

A neighbor has engaged them about this before but it appears not to make any difference.

I'm a Christian and I believe everyone one has the right to worship their creator without bothering others.

An Indian rights activist who has waged what is thought to be the world’s longest hunger strike ended her fast on Tuesday after vowing to continue her struggle by standing for election in her home state. Irom Sharmila Irom Sharmila, dubbed the “Iron Lady of Manipur” for her unwavering protest against alleged rights abuses by security forces in the insurgency-hit northeast Indian state, was released on bail after she promised a court she would end her fast. The 44-year-old had been held in judicial custody on charges of attempting suicide — still a criminal offence in India — and confined to a hospital where she was force-fed through a nasal tube. Speaking to journalists outside the court in the Manipur capital Imphal, she said her long campaign had not worked. “I went on a fast for about 16 years thinking I could change the system, but I now realise that this will not yield any result. “So I decided to end my fast and join politics and then fight for the cause that I undertook this mission for — justice,” she told journalists, speaking in her native Metei language. Irom is campaigning for the repeal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), which covers large parts of the northeast and the restive state of Kashmir. It gives Indian forces sweeping powers to search, enter property and shoot on sight, and has been criticised as a cover for human rights abuses. The Indian government says security forces need the powers to help them battle multiple rebel groups whose long-standing demands range from secession to greater autonomy and land rights. – Frail but determined – Amnesty International India campaigner Abhirr VP called Irom’s hunger strike “a testament to her passion for human rights, and her belief that a draconian law like the AFSPA has no place in any society”. Irom began her fast on November 2, 2000 after allegedly witnessing the killing of 10 people by the army at a bus stop near her home. Amnesty International declared her a Prisoner of Conscience in 2013 and she has received several prestigious international prizes, including a lifetime achievement award from the Asian Human Rights Commission. But support in her home state has waned in recent years. Irom’s brother Singhajit told journalists she would either contest the election as an independent candidate or form a new party to “fight for the causes of the people of Manipur”.

No fewer than five persons were seriously injured on Monday in an accident that occurred when a police bullion van driver broke traffic regulation in Abuja.
A witness told NAN that the accident occurred on Sani Abacha barracks road involving a police vehicle’s driver. He said the driver of the police bullion van, “roforce” number NPF 2647D, Agada Daniel of the police FCT commands, allegedly drove against the traffic.
“The driver of the bullion van decided to take one way and with the rate of his speed,
it rammed into an Abuja painted taxi marked Kaduna, DKA 601XA. As a result of the speed, the driver collided with the oncoming vehicle; another painted taxi driver,” he said.
He said four of the injured are staff of the Halogen security company in Area 3, FCT.
According to him, driving against the traffic has become norms for the police and the military, mostly on Maraba axis.
“It is so unfortunate that the law makers are the law breakers in this Country,” he noted.
A leader of NEMA team on rescue mission declined to answer question as he was busy evacuating the injured passengers. All efforts by NAN to reach the force PRO proved abortive.

No one who is conversant with the biography and career of ‘Senator’ Dino Melaye would be shocked by corroborated reports that he threatened to beat up and ‘’impregnate’’ a female colleague during a closed door session of the Nigerian senate on Tuesday. The act, outrageous as it sounds, is in character. Dino has always been the quintessence of a street thug. His personal and public lives show a symmetrical penchant for hysterics, bullying and violence.


Dino truncated his two attempts at marriage with his own hands. He battered his wives beyond the ‘normal threshold’ of a black eye. He inflicted life-threatening injuries on them with such meanness and frequency that the victims cottoned up to the fact that this husband meant to perpetrate murder in installments.

Only a couple of months, Dino threatened to assault Senator James Manager (PDP, Delta South) in an executive session of the senate. Manager’s heinous crime was that he advised that the Senate risks tarnishing its image as an institution if it does not extricate itself from ‘Senate President’ Bukola Saraki’s trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. Dino charged at the older Manager and moved to attack him.

In his earlier incarnation as a member of the National Assembly, Dino fought on the floor of the House of Representatives. The majority of the legislators were angling for the resignation of the scandal-tainted Speaker Patricia Etteh. Dino tried to save her by starting a fight. He was beaten and stripped half-naked. He walked out in rags.

When Dino hectored Senator Oluremi Tinubu and hurtled towards her so that his alarmed colleagues rushed to save him from himself –by arresting, pacifying and taming him –it was the force of habit at work. He had been beating up women by rote. But since his two wives walked out, he had been suffering the deprivation of existing without a woman to abuse.

Dino’s fifteen minutes of madness boils down to forced withdrawal symptoms. He had not had the fix of woman-beating for a long time. He desperately wanted to be a ‘wife beater’ again. Even if he had to do it to another man’s wife. Even if he had to do it in the chambers of the senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

His threat to beat up and ‘’impregnate’’ Mrs Tinubu in one breath is not a thoughtless indulgence in non sequitur or mixed metaphors. It was an externalization of a perverse sexual orientation that seeks pleasure in the harm and pains of a woman.It was the coming out of a closet revelation of a sadomasochist!

A normal man cannot conceive of the intimate act of ‘’impregnating’’ a woman as an improvement on the horror of beating her. It takes a sick, demented man to scream at the top of his voice that he would beat up a woman and escalate her woes by mounting her. It takes a Dino Melaye to lech after a married woman and to expressly ventilate it in a language that pretends to be anything but a promise to rape!

Dino is a misogynist. He doesn’t believe in the personhood of the female human. He was the senator who derailed a reasonable debate on the necessity of promoting the patronage of made in Nigeria goods by educating the senate that there is such a thing as ‘’made in Nigeria women.’’

Dino was the senator who stood up during a debate on a bill prohibiting sexual harassment of students by lecturers in tertiary institutions and suggested that sexual predation happens when ladies wearing ‘’seductive and provocative dresses’’ ‘’enter the offices of lecturers who have ‘’no anointing to resist sexual temptation.’’

Dino threatened to beat up and ‘’impregnate’’ Mrs. Tinubu in order to shame her for her gender. To remind her that whoever she was, he was the superior sex. She was a mere woman, easy to be conquered, prostrated and violated right into her most private space.

The threat to ‘’impregnate’’ by force escaped from a phalocentric mindset that regards sex as a weapon of war. In Dino's world, sex is the ultimate victory lap. Sex is what you do to a woman to trivialize her femininity. It’s what you do to impose on her an acute sense of her inferiority.

The story says that when the echo of his voice returned to him, he walked back the impracticable threat in a manner only Dino could. He said he wouldn’t bother to fulfill the threat on Mrs. Tinubu. The former first lady of Lagos State was a dry fish. He would rather do it to ‘’a more robust and beautiful woman like Stella Oduah.’’

That’s the rarity of senator of a country declaring his sexual fantasy and grading his female colleagues based on how close their physique came to matching his specifications of an ideal bedmate!

After news of his shameful action went viral and he began trending as a butt of jokes on Nigerian Twitter, Dino tweeted a denunciation of SaharaReporters, the medium that broke the news. He would later follow that up with a press conference; a self-massage session before the media.

Dino told his auditors he was “a responsible Nigerian.'' ''A role model.’’ '' A champion of anti-corruption.'' The report that he threatened to assault and ‘’impregnate’’ the lady senator was a lie. He had never and would never conduct himself in a manner unworthy of the people of his constituency and their culture.

In no time who the liar was became clear. Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s husband, Bola Tinubu confirmed the reports. Dino had truly made the threat to beat up and to ‘’impregnate.’’ He had even boasted that he had immunity. He would commit the abuse and ‘’nothing will happen.’’

Mr. Tinubu called Dino a ‘’disgrace’’ to the Nigerian senate. Okun Parapo, the socio-cultural group of the Yoruba-speaking people of Kogi state, his own extended family, disowned him, calling him a son of reproach.

It goes without saying that Dino cannot be properly characterized. He cannot be characterized because he has no character. Whatever you say of his vulgarism, his barbarism and his love for products of civilization and loath for the power of civilization proves an understatement of the baseness of the man. When you venture to frame his uncouthness, your resultant point-by-point takedown of the figure doesn’t do due justice. It, instead, reads like a stunted compliment.

Why is it so?

Dino vanquishes you in the outer court of understanding. A man’s idiosyncrasies have to make relatable sense to you before you can be in a position to assay him and choose words that meaningfully approximate to his quality. He doesn’t lend himself to comprehensibility.

He is a compulsive buffoon that keeps evolving in complexity. A fool that keeps waxing stupid in sophistication.

The problem with Dino, though, is not that he is a fool. The problem with Dino is that he is a fool that loves to perform in the spotlight. He is an erratic fool that goes out of his way to impress you. He is the fool that keeps pushing the boundaries of idiocy. He is the fool that demolishes impossibilities. He is the fool’s fool!

After a disastrous time in the lower house and his punitive banishment to political wilderness by his constituents, you would have thought that when next he appears on the national stage, he would be a different person from the avatar of nuisance you used to know. He would have rehabilitated himself in private. Or the passage of years would have mellowed him.

But Dino hasn’t changed for the better. He is still the star actor of shame. He has even become a more audacious miscreant. A narcissistic insurgent that makes an exhibition of his own unclothedness.

Dino is not the only devious person in the Nigerian senate. The Nigerian senate is a menagerie of pedophiles, drug barons and thieves. These crooks generally blend in the woodwork. They keep a low profile and take care not do further damage to their name.

Dino’s distinction is that he has as much appetite for scandals as he relishes villainy. He loves to be the issue of the day. He loves the mockery, the ridicule, the constant mention of his name.

Dino claims to have earned six degrees. He doesn’t reflect any token of the briefest flirtation with education. In his elements, he comes across as a deranged English-speaking ventriloquist.

Dino recalls that he checked into the university from some motor park where he was a bus conductor. He is still the bus conductor. Nothing in his pattern of behavior suggests that he transitioned.

The way to explain the irony of his abundance of degrees and his abject poverty of decorum is that he probably collected them the same way he collects things that he imagines would enhance his social standing. He bought them like his exotic cars and his 22 of chieftaincy titles!

Dino Melaye recently announced on live TV that he would soon be the president of Nigeria. He repeated ‘the dream’ in his rebuttal of the current story –in the same speech in which he editorialized on a woman’s menopause!

Dino is a vulgarian and a thug. His presidential dream represents a threat to ‘’impregnate’’ Nigeria!

A women's rights advocacy group, Amazons for Change, has described expressed the verbal assault on Senator Oluremi Tinubu by Senator Dino Melaye, who represents Kogi West, as the worst conduct in the history of the Nigerian Senate.

The group made its views on the matter known in a statement it issued on Saturday. Amazons for Change said it has observed the various acts of thuggery involving Melaye, describing the the attack on Senator Tinubu as particularly sad because it happened in the presence of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and other senators.

"The latest in the condemnable conduct of Senator Melaye happened in the upper chambers of the 8th Senate on July 13, where he threatened to assault and impregnate Senator Oluremi Tinubu, a respectable married woman and colleague.

"What was more shocking was that this was done in the presence of the Senate President and his deputy, who did nothing to admonish or caution Senator Melaye," the statement said.

The group added that it was especially saddened by Melaye's statement at a press conference, where he said Mrs. Tinubu is already in her menopausal phase.

"It is appalling that Senator Melaye, whose duty it is to seek legislation that reflects equity, morality, and respect for the Nigerian citizens, irrespective of gender, chose to act in such a despicable manner," Amazons for Change stated.

The group recalled Melaye's history of assault on women, notably his wives, and the fact that he has never been punished for such. It expressed regret at the absence of mechanisms through which the country's women and children could be shielded from the type of vile conduct exhibited by Melaye, saying there is a need to start holding people with such inclinations responsible for their actions. "Mr. Melaye's recent uncouth remarks in reference to Governor Adams Oshiomhole's wife, his utterances and actions bring the Senate to ridicule and embarrass the country internationally," the group added.

It demanded that Melaye should be sanctioned for his conduct and called in other civil society organisations and the general public to demand that Melaye offers an immediate apology to Mrs.Tinubu and Nigerian women, as his verbal assault on Mrs.Tinubu is an assault on all women.

"He even boasted he could do as he pleased and nothing would happen to him, and he verbally carried out that threat with no repercussions whatsoever.

"For that, we also demand an unreserved apology from Senate President Saraki," said the group.

Amazons for Change noted that violence against women and girls is one of the world's most widespread human right violations. This, it explained, takes the form of physical, sexual and psychological abuse as well as harmful cultural practices, which has adverse health and social consequences for individuals, families, and communities. "Violence against women and girls prohibits their overall development, inflicts costs on national economies, and undermines poverty reduction efforts.

"As change agents, we can clearly see that the country has lost its moral compass, and we need to make efforts to find it quickly before the country descends into total anarchy," it concluded.

An Indian usurer, Datta Phuge who hit the limelight in 2015 for buying a shirt made of over 3kg of Gold worth over $250,000 was attacked on Thursday night.

The attack however led to the death of the 48-year-old who is based in Western Pune.

According to the Police, Mr Phuge popularly called “the gold man” was attacked by 12 people in Pune on the night. The police explained that one of the suspects in the murder case had invited Mr. Phuge and his 22-year-old son to celebrate a birthday at an open ground in Dighi area where he was attacked with stones and other sharp objects. The alleged killer however spared his son.

The Press Trust of India news agency gathered from inspector Navnath Ghogare, an officer of the Dighi Police station that investigation were ongoing a to “how Mr Phuge reached the open ground where he was attacked and murdered”


Mr. Phuge who often wore gold all over his body including his knuckles, neck, and wrists had said in an interview granted with BBC in 2013: “Some people ask me why I’m wearing so much gold but it was my dream. People have different aspirations. Some elite people want to own an Audi or Mercedes, and have big cars. I chose gold”.

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday, July 12 nabbed, Benjamin Michael, 27, for attempting to remove a Mercedes Benz A-Class with the registration number UB 202 AAA from the park at a popular night club (name withheld) in Ikeja.
The suspect, who hails from Ughelli in Delta State, was arrested after the policemen prevented the angry mob from carrying out jungle justice on him when they sighted him entering the car.
The suspect, who had sustained various degrees of injuries on his head before the arrival of RRS operatives, was taken to the hospital for medical attention by the police.
Upon his arrival at the RRS’ headquarters, he confessed that his plan was to steal the vehicle and take it out of Lagos to a neighbouring country to sell.
“I took a wrap of Indian-hemp before I went to the club that night. On getting to the club, I was looking for a car whose door was not locked. Then, I started opening all the vehicles parked at the club’s parking space one after the other. I discovered that the car in question was not locked, which gave me free entry into it. I entered the car quietly with the aim of removing it from where it was parked and take it out for sale,” he disclosed.
The suspected criminal said that he was unaware that some people were seeing him while entering the vehicle.
He added: As I entered the car, I saw a group of men coming towards me. I still pretended as if the car was mine. When they got to my side, they asked me if the car was mine. Unknowingly to me, the owner of the car was with them.
I confidently told them the car belonged to me. They dragged me out of the vehicle and started beating me. If not for the timely intervention of the RRS officers, they would have killed me that night”.
It was gathered that the Policemen who were on their routine patrol along the axis, rescued the suspect when he was about to be set ablaze by the enraged youth.
While confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, Superintendent of Police, SP Dolapo Badmus, said that efforts were in progress to arrest to arrest his colleagues.
“The suspect would be charged to court upon completion of our investigations. My advice to every vehicle owner is to ensure that your vehicles are parked in a secured place and properly locked to prevent car thieves from taking undue advantage of such negligence,” she added.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State says the PDP has already rejected the candidate of one of its factions, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, with the cold shoulder he got from Governors and other leaders of the party at the flag-off of his campaign, two weeks ago. Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Benin City, Wednesday, he said “the campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming governorship election in the State is dead on arrival”. He said the APC is the only party that offers hope to all our people, adding “whether you like it or not, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) engine is dead on arrival. The early morning signals are clear. For the first time since 1999, a candidate was being presented to the people of Edo State for the most important single job, and the key pillars were there fastened to their chairs and their tables, none of them could stand on their feet to say one word. Has the Oracle not spoken? “Also, the “applicant pastor” said we have our fathers here and he called the fathers and you know when a child calls more than one father, you know what he is! But if you have three fathers seated next to each other, none of your fathers could stand up, take the microphone and said, yes you are my son; I present you. Did you observe that? Has papa not already disowned his child? I cannot but again reiterate what I said to the Deputy Governor yesterday that I particularly value the fact that he had no difficulty in recognizing that for him, it is not an option. “I think the Deputy Governor’s position reminds us that truly anyone who labours to build a house will find no comfort in undermining the foundation of that house, no matter the level of provocation. I submit and I decree that the fact that he readily accepted in the manner that he did shows that he knew that he has a stake in this house because his sweat together with your sweat was used to mould the blocks with which this house was built. “The reason the Deputy Governor’s position is extremely important is that there is nobody that has any reason to be more aggrieved in status, in rank than him. He was the next after Godwin in terms of number of votes. He is number two citizen in the state. And so, if in spite of this he has done what he did, Pius, I want to tell you, your space in my heart has been deepened, reinforced.” He called on members to work for the success of the party. “Having said that, I want to associate myself with what the chairman said. We must continue to work for reconciliation. I need every one of us to go back home and truly from the heart because we have one party, and God has helped us to do it transparently, successfully. It is time to move on. “The same thing should happen in each of the 192 wards. When you do us that favour, you are demonstrating leadership ability at your own level. I want to appreciate all of you. My personal apologies to anyone I might have offended. Different leaders of the party, including the Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Odubu, Mr Gentleman Amegor and others agreed to work for the success of the party. The meeting was attended by key stakeholders of the party across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state including the governorship candidate of the party, Mr. Godwin Obaseki with his running mate, Hon. Hundreds of men and women from Gbaramatu community from Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State on Thursday staged a peaceful protest over the arrest and detention of some youths in the community by soldiers.
The women who wore black attires carried banners with inscriptions like: “Buhari BringbackOurBoys”, Our Boys Are School Children”, Our Boys Are Not Members of the Niger Delta Avengers”, “Buhari, Time Is Running Out.”
Some of the women rolled on the ground and wept, asking the soldiers to release their innocent children accused of bombing oil facilities.
The people of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State are kinsmen of wanted ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, a.k.a. Tompolo.
The protesters also accused the military of detaining their children for more than 45 days and called on President Muhammadu Buhari to release their children to them
