Bruv, the church in Nigeria is now an attraction arena for get-rich-quick scammers poaing as pastors and ,religious leaders'.

As someone born into a Christian family, I can confess that Nigeria and Nigerians have totally ruined religious belief for me.

I have not come across many Nigerians seeking God for spiritual emancipation. The relation of Nigerians with God is entirely about prosperity and the worldly beneift worshippers want fron their God.

Scamming religious leaders have quickly capitalized on the unprincipled nature of their congregation to make worship in Nigeria about 'father Christmas' benevolence where God is supposedly only there to provide wealth, jobs, cash, mansions, wives, husband, children, business success, cars etc to followers.


The whole thing is a hot mess and I personally have very little regards for those who are fervently religious in Nigeria today. To me, they are potential victims of scammers like Odumeje, Oyedepo, Oyakilome etal.
