There are a billion facets to this story, but the point you're trying to make has no bearing on the topic at hand - valid but pointless. Can you not see the wickedness of the whole setup? I would even think the two successful young men would be 'bright' enough to acknowledge the man who raised them with so much love even if the woman decides to go astray. That's a terrible way to pat back kindness, don't you think?
