Few months ago my younger brother complained to me that 50k naira was removed from his First Bank account. We complained and later found out that his account was internally compromised by a staff of the bank. His money would have disappeared if we didn't raise alarm. Now on the 20th of May this month 170k was removed from my First Bank account in four tranches. I didn't notice until the 21st when I checked my balance as no alert was sent and no OTP indicating that a transaction is going on. I was only sent alerts for the transactions this morning. After calling the customer care they told me that it seems my ATM card has been compromised. I'm sure no one had access to my card in this past days no one, and the only online transaction I've ever made is my Netflix, my phone linked to that account has also been with me alone because I live alone. My question is how possible can a web transaction be made without requesting for OTP? And why didn't I get an alert for the transactions until I called the bank to complain? How can a bank charge heavily for SMS notifications and card maintenance without providing adequate security for customers money? Im sure my card was not compromised, however does it mean that every penny in your bank account can be wiped if someone just gets a hold of your ATM card without your pin? What services are the banks really charging us for? |

The level of mediocrity in Abia state is alarming. |
Insecure people cling to status symbols. Think of the person who isn’t particularly into music but has to have the top-of-the-line sound system or the person who wants to be seen at the most expensive restaurant in town, despite the fact that they’d much prefer a burger and fries at the local dive bar. They’re preoccupied with others’ opinions of them, even to the point of causing themselves unhappiness. Social media has played into this insecurity, and number of followers and likes has become another status symbol. People want to know how to boost these numbers, but they neglect to form meaningful connections. Of course, there is nothing wrong with treating yourself to something nice, but when those things become a substitute for relationships and self-esteem, then there’s a problem. |
To be honest I wish we can go back to the way the world was before social media. |

All of you blaming ASUU doesn’t it bother you that this government cannot and can never be trusted with the welfare of its citizens? They are just good in telling lies and making bogus promises. |

You won’t see lecturing or teaching here. A country can’t develop more the its capacity to inspire and motivate the teachers of the nation. |
If there is anything like fulfilling all righteousness it is the case of state government elections. If you feel like wasting money contest from an opposition party. The kind of mediocrity going on in this state is quite alarming. |
