I will implore you youths of nowadays to listen to your parents and never be fooled by western culture (if they have one) and negative civilisation. Parents were not born yesterdays. You gain experience with time. Many parents have gone through life in the hardest way. If you intend to learn through your own personal experience, fine, but you might need a life time to be as wise as most elderly ones. Please be cautious and respectful and make use of the wisdom of your parents. A word they say is enough for the wise. |
Actually for Oro festival men are free to move around. Only women are prohibited for a reason not to disclosed here. |
Never be discouraged about your present situation. Academic certificate is not only for financial gain. It never matters what you studied but opportunities you could factor your education to achieve is the key. Education is to be able to fashion out how you could progress from nothing. Think of other valuable things you could do rather than mourning. Please do not misunderstand me it just a piece of advice. |
Women are the only cause of confusion OR ADAM IS JUST A PLAIN MUMU!!!??@ BABE I must say your understanding of the Bible needs to go beyond the literary meaning you assign to it presently, as the spiritual aspect is more important. Do you think God didn't know the where abouts of Adam? So calling Adam a fool or MUMU was disrespectful. Do not forget that we all came through him and therefore must be given absolute respect. Temptation mostly comes from the DEVIL who almost overturn the heavenly kingdom. For your information, no man is safe from the DEVIL except through the grace of the ALMIGHTY GOD. You should understand that it was GOD HIMSELF that saved even JESUS CHRIST from the biblical temptation orchestrated by the DEVIL. Babe I think your understanding of the issue posted needs to go far beyond what you synthesize at the moment. I pray that none of us ever fall into any form of temptation. In God Almighty's name I pray. Amen. |
I must say it is always a good thing to classify institutions of higher learning in terms of merit and areas of expertise for information purposes. However, it is quite unfortunate that you guys are just wasting your precious time over such issue, as there seems not to be any good university in Nigeria at the moment. The once good ones are living on past glories. You need to move out of that place, so as to be able to appreciate, what good education is all about. Many Professors in many Universities are intellectually bankrupt and I wonder what their products would look like. Nothing but absolute failure. Exam leakages are on the highest level. Students are never ready to learn. Lecturers are clueless and bunch of idiots, who specialise in having affairs with anything in skirt. Cultism has taken over and an average graduate is a potential armed robber in waiting after failing to secure a job that never existed. Very sad, the corrupt politicians have damaged everything relating to education. I must confess the whole thing stinks and I am not proud of the situation at all. If you are presently a student, please be wise and think. Never allow anybody to destroy your future. |
@ Lagosboy. Lagosboy you have spoken my mind. You are 100% spot on. An average Nigerian citizen is corrupt. Nothing could get done without bribing either directly or in style. The whole thing about corruption stinks and unacceptably disgusting. An average Nigerian is not in any better position to challenge or condemn any politician on the issue of corruption. Few years back, I wanted a post office box in Nigeria, bribe was demanded from me in style. You only ignore such moves, if you had time to waste, as they will make sure you spend a week on just thirty minutes activity. In all honesty, only Murtala of blessed memory and Buhari/Idiagbon put up an effort during their different regimes, before the fool that called himself IBB came to throw them out. The evil genus succeeded in destroying the little moral fabric left in Nigerian society. Obasanjo was no better. His best was not just enough. I think he is presently engaged in such activity that almost cost him his life during Abacha regime. A pot calling fry pan black. It is only God Himself that will deliver Nigeria/Nigerians from those devilish and destrctive hands of CORRUPTION when the time comes. Sad. Isn't it? |
The write up was good and not biased. The writer has spoken the bitter truth and that is the fact about all arms of government. To progress Nigeria as a Nation, both the governing and the governed (entire populace) should be honest. The evil starts from those citizens who sell their electoral rights for money. They afterwards go back to the elected officers, to demand from them what their legitimate earnings can never provide, without plunging their hands into the public till. It is shameful and we all must check ourselves to do what is morally right always. Whoever wants to condemn any present or past politicians is free to do so, but, he/she should search his/her conscience and be satisfied that never would he/she be a victim when such opportunity to serve his/her nation present itself. “Let he who has never sinned cast the first stone”. |
Gowon that foolish person need to keep his mouth shut.Statement of this nature is inflammatory. kindly desist from it. Whether you are Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba- We are all Nigerians. Nobody denounced the fact that you were not brutalised. However, Ojukwu was part of the ugly equation. He ought not to have declared a war which unfortunately he could not finish. He probably relied on the British and Portuges for support which did not stand up to the challenge he was faced with. He only succeeded in compounding the problems of innocent young Igbo citizens. He should have done more for them when he returned from exile in Gabon. My advise is that, we should all try as much as humanly possible, to forget the past to pave way for our future. Interestingly, democracy is now here with us to stay. Everybody, especially the Igbos should get busy and work out how they could benefit from the present climate, so as not to be a looser in all. A word they say is enough for the wise. |
Reply to Okokomeji Dumb-ass, are you on powder this morning? I guess you must be hallucinating for this gibberish
Okokomeji I must say your reply is quite rude and below intellectual expectation. Please grow up and be civilised a bit. Should you allow your emotion to rule your reasoning I doubt you will ever get anywhere. |
Please never be deceived by the utterances of people regarding IBB. I must tell you he was never gone, he only “stepped aside”- using his words. Unfortunately, poverty has destroyed the moral fabrics of most Nigerians and I bet you if IBB wants to be president again he will sure be. All he needs to do is put his money in the right quarters and all will be well. No amount of noise by the common man or the voters would change anything in Nigeria. After all, the current president- Yar’dua only came out of the blues and became president. If you doubt me could you please remind me when he started his presidential campaign before he finally emerged as winner. Naturally Nigeria is corrupt. To sanitise the country we need somebody like Jerry Rowlings of Ghana. |
In all honesty I don't particularly hate the man for his past. However he must show remose and repent. His coming back might be to the advantage of Nigerians as his aim might be to repear the damages he caused, win the confidence of the general populace back and receive God's favour before the last minutes. |
The story is another scam. And if per chance it is true then it is just a confirmation of how rotten Nigerian society is. Believe it or not, more than 90% of the politicians are heartless, selfish and can sell their parents for money and power. There is no place for them where integrity is required. Lastly I must say loads of people are actually weeping for Nigeria. |
Iz a pity Nigerians don't get to see the beauty of Dar Es Salaam, Dodoma or Mlimani no

You must be one of the urgly faces Tanzanian living in Nigeria. I don't blame you. It is Baba Iyabo. |
