tochez24: An Epistle of a simp😁😁
Nigeria is the only part of the globe where they celebrate people for behaving like a normal human being or performing their duties⚠️
You will never see a white man, indian, Chinese or even an Arabian man with this kind of long epistle of jargon over a woman♂️
I have never come across a clip or text where foreign men are worshipping and praising their women, whenever i come online all i see is foolish African men disgracing themselves😔😔
Your wife is simply doing what you married her for and is no big issue you bloody simp💯
If you feel you need to show her love for being a good wife, please do that secretly and stop blocking our online space😡 I have lived in Asian and in a white man's land, i have Americans, whites, Chinese, Indians and Arabians as friends and colleagues. And I have seen them praising their wives and spouses even more than what the OP has written. If his wife is doing well and he decide to praise her publicly and you dont feel comfortable, them dont bother to open the thread, if its the other way round, I am sure you wont say this nonsense. |

Are employers taken advantage of employees
Na wa o Most places where i worked before in Nigeria was 25th, some months ealier if 25th falls on weekend or holidays. In Asia it was 23-25. Here in west (government), its 1st of everymonth even if its holiday or weekend, dey no send your papa |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Just Secured My First Tech Job. I'm So Happy. by ffo(m): 3:45pm On Feb 08, 2024 |
chinasaekpere: I graduated from the University 12 years ago. Since then I have been jumping from one job to another with no progress in sight. I discovered that I have been stagnant for Years, so I decided to learn a skill.
I started by learning how to make footwear, I learnt that for a year but I later discovered that it's not what I want to do, although I can make every type of footwear even boots. Last year I took an online course in frontend web development, for 6 months I studied for an average of more than10 hours daily learning from HTML and now React.js. I learnt figma, scss, CSS, Version control, jquery, bootstrap, Chakra UI and react.js, it was a tough one because I had to forfeit other means of making money. I got hungry so many times, I used my last card to buy data so I can keep studying and doing my projects.
Earlier this month, I finished by portfolio project, I had already worked on 4 projects using react, Jquery, Chakra UI and bootstrap. I designed coupled of web pages using figma.
Earlier this month, my girlfriend who's a data analyst sent me a link for a front-end developer role. In my mind, I didn't feel like I was ripe enough so I didn't apply. 2 days later, I decided to give it a try and so I applied. I was called to come for interview this Monday.
On getting there, the company was working on this revenue web app project they are doing to for a particular state government. I was asked to develop the UI of one of the pages using react, CSS and Tailwind. I have heard of Tailwind before but I have never used it. I told the interviewer that I have never used tailwind and that I'm proficient using bootstrap. He replied that I should go through tailwind documentation and then use it to style the page on top of react.
So I started reading the documentation, I discovered that it's syntax is somehow similar to Chakra UI which I have used once in my project, the are the same concept of class utility. So I decided to start coding, getting snippets from the documentation and then applying my Chakra UI knowledge to work around it.
To cut the long story short, I coded from 9am in the morning and delivered the page by 5pm.
I was sent an appointment letter today. So my tech journey officially started. It's a junior role though but I'm glad I broke the ice.
The salary is what I have never earned in a month since I was born. 😊 Your story should motivate those that feels there's no job in the market, I like hardworking guys like you who go extra mile to achieve their vision, you are a go-getter |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: What's Your Experience Like In The Labor Market? by ffo(m): 3:39pm On Feb 08, 2024 |
Hamachi: This is post is targeted at graduates of 1-10 years.
Few days ago, a graduate of 10 years threatened to burn his certificate, this got me thinking.. Is it that bad? A graduate of 10 years cannot map out a career path or business plan to follow tentatively. This thoughts actually formulated these questions..
Are you doing what you envisaged as an undergraduate, or are you utilizing your survival instinct's. If you affirm the formal.. What is it? What are your challenges? Is it related to course of study?
And if the later is affirmed.. What are those things you do to survive? What are your challenges?
Your experience will help mold undergraduates and graduates alike and in turn, deter them from towing that shameful path like burning of certificate e.t.c Let me give you a little secret about labor market. Using myself as an example, I have worked in more than 6 companies in 3 different countries and continent. Most times after about 2 years, i just get bored and feel like changing employer or when i ask them for a raise or favor. Now back to your question, the secret is this, know what the society needs and demands, then develop yourself in that particular aspect, then you will see as jobs will be coming your way. |

Nairalandforme: Please,I dont know if this is the right section to post this; your advice is really needed from our guys who stays in the US.
I am considering learning a skill before going for an MSc in the US in 6-months time. I would like to go for Truck driving because my dad drives one and I know he will expose and teach me well, faster and with all his heart. He has been on it right since my birth (over 30 years) here in Naija, He has drove for many companies including don.gote, tetr.alog, and the likes. I learnt it is not easy to get a job that can sponsor a work visa to remain in the US after ones study, so if I learn this from him, maybe I could and get certified, I can get a company that can sponsor a work visa easily why eyeing my dream job. I need an advice on this if it will worth it .
Pls, I need a sincere advice from our brothers over there. Mod pls help me move this to front page Abeggg!!! skills to survive while in school- barbing, plumbing, mechanics, furniture or any artisan skills will be of help. talking from experience |

I am suspecting maybe Yorubas just teach their kids their indigenous language more than Igbos.
There are more Yorubas in the UK than Igbo. I struggle to believe that is also the case in the USA. I have met many more Yorubas than Igbos and i havent met any Hausa. |

I have seen lots (i mean lots) of whites who are looking forward to having the first snow experience, i have also seen whites who travel to the North during winter just to have snow experience, i have seen pictures and videos of adult whites who are playing in the snow, but just because the OP is a black man, y'all have issues with him and making derogatory statement about his experience. Y'all are obviously envious of him and his family but because you are feeling insecure and inferior y'all wont admit that. Do y'all also know that there is now a new trend among white families adopting blacks because they like our skin and us. but these stupid wannabees who knows NOTHING will always feel inferior and insecure. |
