Kogi Assembly Crisis: Five Members Sit, Suspend 10 - Channels Television. The crisis rocking the Kogi State assembly deepened on Tuesday as members of the pro-Imam faction of the House suspended ten members of the factional group led by the embattled Speaker, Momoh Jimoh-Lawal. The group, led by Umar Imam, announced the suspension at the floor of the assembly after a report of a committee set up to look into the crisis. The five-man committee led by Honorable John Abah, in its findings, said that the crisis caused in the House were unnecessarily heated up by some people with vested interests. The committee also aligned with the position of the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, who is alleged to have said that the sealing up of the Kogi Assembly was not necessary as the crisis had not led to break down of law and order in the state. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has summoned the Attorney-General of the Federation over his alleged comments that the National Assembly was wrong to have taken over the duties of the Kogi State House of Assembly. In a motion of urgent public importance sponsored by Nicholas Ossai and unanimously supported by most lawmakers, the House described the comments of the Attorney-General as a direct attack on the National Assembly. The Senate agreed with the House of Representatives to take over the legislative functions of the Kogi State House of Assembly after its leadership crisis degenerated into a situation where two persons claimed to be Speaker of the House. http://www.channelstv.com/2016/04/12/kogi-assembly-crisis-five-members-sit-suspend-10/ |

Atlast, an assurance that the IT student(AYB) will finish his IT in Government house in a very short while. The best news I've received since power changed hands which has led to a serious decline in progress. The Captain is coming back to continue from where he stopped. May Allah make it easy for him. donvicky2007: Just like Buhari's second coming is hurting and killing Nigeria and Nigerians. we are witnesses to the fact that the illegal governor has proven beyond all reasonabl doubt that he is incapable of steering the affairs of Kogi state. So, apart from the fact that Wada is coming back because he deserves it, we need him to save us from this man on IT. Sai Wada |

Kiakia: The entire process that produced Yahaya Bello as the Governor of Kogi State is fraught with irregularities and cannot stand. Idris Wada's arguement is also porous. The best bet is for the Tribunal to cancel the election and order fresh polls. if this what you think, then you truly know nothing about the case going on. It could also mean that you're angry because your fraudulently forced governor will soon be out meaning your plans have failed. Take heart, good things happen. |

Wada's return is a sign of God's will for Kogi State. He has started something which is almost being destroyed by this guy on IT in the government house(AYB) but thank God he's coming back to finish it. Keep your negative mindset to yourself. |

Eruditor: Emotive trash.
You even called the deceased "Innocent". What is to say he wasn't on his way to kill a debtor or that he would not have an accident that would have taken someone else's life say 2 months after that day?
Did Ibinabo set out on that very day to kill him?
So his family lost a breadwinner, a brother, father, one who gave 7 years of his life to becoming a doctor, but her family won't lose anybody when she goes to jail? Her husband won't lose a wife? Her kids won't lose a mum?
I thought you were saying what is sauce for the Goose is sauce for the Gander? Why the glaring hypocrisy?
The only thing that can be determined as justice will be what the law has to say about involuntary manslaughter. If the option of a fine was available and the first court issued that, then there is no need for the emotional hot air you are spewing.
She is guilty of the crime, but should not be a reckless victim of judicial eye-service and pandering. can you compare losing a loved one till eternity to just not seeing a loved one always as it used to be but will definitely see that loved one back again after a while? Pls be sincere. She's only going for 5 years during which her family has the priviledge of visiting her regularly but can the doctors family do the same? |

Atleast we also know Ghanaian dogs are more sensible than nigerians. And apart from that overcrowded smelly place called lagos where again in mumugeria is worth mentioning?
You sound dumber but am not surprise because you are a nigeria. I hate exchanging words with fools from a useless zoo like nigeria but unfortunately you guys are so obsessed with Ghana If not for failed leadership like how on earth will useless nigerians talk when a Ghanaian is talking? That day will surely come though Stu pid smelly ape are you talking about the Ghanians that were chased out of Nigeria sometime ago for being at the forefront of immoral vices like prostitution, street hawking, stealing and a host of other vices or another Ghana that I've not heard about? dustmalik: It's called Doctrine Of Necessity. This is purely for Security reasons. We all read about what happened at Ajaokuta yesterday, and we all know that there will continue to be tension in Kogi for a while to come. Some people are even instigating violence in order to render the state ungovernable. You don't have to wail over every issue. Prevention of unnecessary unrest is paramount over every other consideration. so they know they're not doing the right thing and that's why they keep switching to avoid the wrath of the masses abi? |

Pvin: The situation in Kogi state is Dicey . Indeed this will be a hard nut to crack by the court in choosing among Wada, Faleke and Bello because none amongst them is fully qualified for the crown í ½í± it won't be hard because its clear that since the major contender which Prince Abubakar Audu died along the way which naturally makes Wada, the second runner up the right person. Its either that or a fresh poll. |

jayriginal: What is ultra modern about the facility?
After a year of two of our usual maintenance, this facility will be unrecognizable, starting from the toilets. that's why we Nigerians have to inculcate the maintenance culture into our systems so things like this don't go into extinction. |

Look at the floors, why are some people so dumb not to see the floors are dilapidated already even before operation of the park.
This floors can't last a month.why can't we just stop this inferiority mindset, and stop accepting crap as standard haba, its because of people like you that Nigeria is still the way it is. Well, I don't blame you, you're probably not used to seeing modern things. But let me remind you, not all people appreciate good things. People like you will never see good in anything and I bet you this attitude will affect you life negatively if you refuse to change it. Whether you appreciate it or not, it doesn't change the fact that its there and already making an impact. |

cronsberg: Is this what they call mega terminal? If anything, it looks more like the parking lot of a mini mall. Doesn't these people know what a transport terminal looks like? Usually a massive three or four story building with ground floor as parking areas for buses and first floor as ticketing and passenger seating area, then second floor as maybe resturants and other things, then third floor as cinemas and rest rooms e.t.c The objective is everything should be under one roof no matter how massive if can be. I honestly expected to see something like this.. pictures are not the best ways to judge things. Why don't you give yourself a treat and visit the terminal so you'll be able to tell if its mega or not. |

OLISASDEJI: I have seen the project, its along Okenne-Abuja express road. It is located around the Ram/Goat market if you know lokoja very well. To me, of what benefit is it to kogite? This is just another last minutes project commition always being embark by our politicians. are you truly asking what benefit a mega terminal is to a Kogite? This is like asking what a modern hospital means to local community. The benefits of this project cannot be over-emphasized. Now Lokoja has a more organized park for loading and off-loading which will ease traffic along that axis drastically. And let me remind you, this is not a last minute project. It took this long because of the Governor's quest for quality projects. Please do me a favour and appreciate good things for a change. |
