Apart from the initial reset. No, he just installed it, refilled the oil and that was all.

The EGS has been changed and now it moves but the gear has been misbehaving, jerking, delaying, sometimes refusing to go to Reverse.

The car is located in Ajah, Lagos.
I could be mistaken about the error code, I only glanced it from what the mechanic showed me. It could be UO426 like somebody pointed out here

The only change was the transmission oil, filter and the sump seal. Nothing else.

But here's the issue:
The car still wouldn't move unless the mechanic uses his scanner to force it by probably bypassing the EGS or something.

The error code is "UD426"

The mechanic is saying I need to replace the entire EGS but I don't trust his judgement

Anyone here dealt with this before?

I need a very good mechanic between Lekki - Sangotedo strip. I am tired of Mechanics, I just need someone that is honest for God's sake. Why can't we just be honest in this country, charge me whatever amount for your workmanship but tell me actual price of parts and buy original For God's sake. Mechanics are just wicked, and heartless.

This car wants to kill me. I don't even know where to start listing problems. I spend at least 50k on repairs every month, I am that person that hears the slightest sound in my vehicle and the next day I am at the mechanic. I thought they said if you take care of your car it wouldn't disturb you.
The latest issue this car is giving me now is very stiff steering, I changed the steering fluid, flushed the system, it is still stiff. My worry now is should I change the pump? Will that not affect the steering rack?
I am tired. And the mechanics around me are so terrible, I am tired of mechanics, calling steering pump 70k, I am tired of this country, everybody just wants to collect the small that is with you. I digress The Car is a 2008 ES350.
Ooooh I forgot to add that the cruise control also stopped working around the same time this stiff steering issue started. I don't even know if that's a related problem or it is a stand alone issue. I am 100% sure my mechanic would not know what to do about the cruise control. I just need help abeg.

Good day everyone, I am in dire need of advice, so here's my situation. I currently have a Lexus ES350 '08 and where I live has terrible roads, My front and back bumpers look haggard, they always hit the floor and I am tired of it. So I am thinking of getting an SUV, but I am torn between Ford Explorer 2013 Limited and Mercedes Benz GLK 350 2011 both are Toks. I just want a car with serious clearance and that is moderately easy to maintain(I have heard lots of horror stories about Ford and even Benz sef).
Oh and if you have any better option apart from these two, I'll appreciate. The budget is 8-10M

Please HELP!!! I own a Lexus Es350 '08 and whenever I start the car in the morning I hear a cranking or grinding sound as soon as the engine starts, Then if I turn it off immediately and start the engine again it doesn't make the noise. But when I leave it for a long time (usually 3-4 hours) and I start the engine I hear the same sound again. What can be the cause?

Also my dashboard is like a Christmas Tree, the error lights are all on, I have taken the car to a mechanic they scanned the car, we repaired everything (ABS, serviced the airbags, Pumped my tires to the recommended psi) the only thing I couldn't repair was the catalyst, STILL THE error lights are still on, and they won't clear.

Finally I always fix one suspension problem every month, if I repair shaft this month, I'll repair Shock pad next month, then linkage the next month.

I love this car but the problems are starting to get too much.
