People aren't always going to apologise to you for the wrongs they have done to you. One reason is that they don't even know that they've hurt you in the first place. Another reason is that they don't care, or just the fact that the hurt was intentional. They designed it and executed it. Another reason can be pride for whatever reason they may have. It's called life experiences. Those are things you can't control—how people behave and how people respond to events. But you can choose and control your response. That's where your power lies! Take that power and use it to your advantage. Learn from the experience, forgive the culprit, grow through it and move on! Forgiveness serves you! It's for you, not them. So don't hold back! But set the boundaries to prevent a repeat! Whatever it takes, make your joy a priority by all means. Are you single or unmarried? We have a Singles Secret Hangout coming up on the 31st. When you love someone, especially when married, “your life is in their hands…” It's why your choice cannot be yours but God's. Because there's just so much you do not and cannot know today and so much in the years ahead. That knowledge gap is where God completes the puzzle. My prayer is that we all receive the favour of God in locating that one partner that truly loves us and wants the best for us now and forever. Are you single and unmarried? One of the greatest mistakes you can do is to marry someone with the hope that they will change in marriage. Those who know will tell you that change doesn't come easy in marriage. Sometimes what you are expecting to change gets worse. While discussing on this subject yesterday, my friend put it this way: "Marrying somebody with the hope that they will change is a recipe for trouble. It's just best to take people as they are and be sure you can live with that." I totally agree especially for helping one manage their expectations. Not like change is impossible though, but it has to be on the person who requires the change. As a spouse, you can only inspire change. You can't force it. Are you single or engaged? Texting is a great way to miscommunicate how you feel and misinterpret what someone else means. If in conflict with your partner, this should never be a go to option for resolving anything. The best option is to speak face to face physically...where you can read each other's body language and hear each other's tone of voice clearly. If that's not possible, then consider a video call or a voice call... In that order... But avoid texting by all means. LANDMINES OF THE HEART The Case of False Premises & Conclusions One man ≠ All men One woman ≠ All women James ≠ All men Abigail ≠ All women Let's stop this attitude of using one man's action to judge every other man. Man meaning man and woman. Adam jilted you. One heart break o and you won't allow the world to drink water in peace. You start chanting, "Trust Adam at your own risk" One man! one experience! All of a sudden, all men are scum! You sent her to school. You waited for her. You invested in her business. In the end, Eve said, you are not her type and married someone else. Now every woman is a waste of your time, energy and resources. "You will never try that rubbish again." Okay o! You read one event of a man's wickedness to his wife. He ran away to America, frames his own death, and left her with three children. All of a sudden, marriage is not for you. Never! On the flip side, this man gave his wife all that she ever asked for. Money was never an issue. He was faithful to her, loved her and made her his number one priority. Yet, she decided to leave him because he was too perfect. And you are like, "What do women really want in this life? I can't kill myself for any woman in this life o. God forbid!" You gave all your life to one man, you were faithful, committed, served and did everything humanly possible to please him. One day, you wake up to the news that he's getting married and you are not the bride (you are the bride's friend, LOL). All of a sudden, you make a life-changing decision never to commit to any man again in your life. You become the playgirl. --------+++---------+++--------+++---- Let me ask you the following questions: How many men or women have you met in your small life? How many of these experiences have you even had? One, two or three? Is that enough premise to call all men scum or all women gold diggers? What statistics are you basing your conclusions upon? Which survey did you carry out? Which research did you conduct on the matter? What was your hypothesis? Or is there a different process for making scientific conclusions these days? By all means, avoid these hasty generalizations so you don't block yourself from something beautiful. I have often said, "Don't let your past negative experience(s) deny you of your many positive future experiences." Someone broke your heart. Yes, it's hurtful. Soak it in, cry your heart out. But understand that it's just one experience–an event. It's not worth committing suicide for! To what end biko? Take your time to heal, move past it and move on! They always come to pass! She married someone else after all of your investment of time, energy and resources. Bro, relax. There's nothing new under the sun. Everything is working together for your good. You just don't know it yet. Be willing to give another woman a chance, she might just be an angel. Say it like you mean it, this too shall pass! Always! One man will never mean all men. One woman will never mean all women. Your experience, irrespective of how many, will never be enough to give a scientific conclusion. Social media is here to stay. Read these things, add to your knowledge, take what is good, glean wisdom from them and discard the rest. Whatever you do, by all means, don't erect a stumbling block for yourself. Guard your heart with all diligence. Trust me, life is beautiful, and marriage will remain a beautiful thing. Don't let one man or woman ruin all that. Don't let one experience or story kill all that. Breathe! Someone definitely needs to hear this. Kindly share it with your friends. forreelinc:You are part of Nigeria's problem. |
Contrary to the news doing the rounds that the presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Fela Durotoye had withdrawn from the 2019 presidential election race after Dr Oby Ezekesili's exist, the candidate has debunked and urged the public to disregard the rumour. According to a release signed by the Director General of ANN 2019 Presidential Campaign, Lanre Oyegbola, to debunk the claim that Durotoye had stepped down earlier today, stated that the news was not true. Instead, he was ready to come into any coalition with other presidential candidates, specially, Omoyele Sowore and Professor Kingsley Moghalu. The release stated: "To ensure that an alliance is formed and we present a united front, I am ready to come into any coalition talks with my brothers, Omoyele Sowore and Professor Kingsley Moghalu and to submit myself to any transparent that will help us arrive at a selection of a consensus candidate from amongst us. "To be clear, if the process produces any candidate apart from myself, I am ready to support whoever the consensus candidate is and to do all I can to support the coalition to win the 2019 presidential election for our generation. He further charged other frontline candidates to join forces together to seize the 'historic window of opportunity for our generation to select one of us to go ahead of us...so that all of us can come together and speak with one voice at the 2019 general election.' He, however, commended Dr Oby Ezekwesili who had stirred the coalition movement following her withdrawal from the presidential race. "I have always believed that leadership is service and sacrifice and today, I would like to commend Dr (Mrs) Obey Ezekwesili for leading the charge to forming a viable coalition to presenting a consensus candidate for the 2019 presidential election," he added.

THE MANY LIES OF KINGSLEY MOGHALU: A REJOINDER FROM PACT Our attention has been drawn to the recent release made by the Presidential Candidate of the Young Progressive Party, Kingsley Moghalu, as it affects his role in the Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) and the 2019 presidential election. It has thus become expedient for us to put the record straight for the sake of posterity. PACT was formed with just one aim; to get all New Breed Presidential Aspirants to come together and present one Consensus Candidate, while others queue behind the fellow so that we can collectively wrestle power from the Old Brigades and restore our nation to a path of progress. The story of PACT is in public domain, so we shall not bother to go over it all over. We shall however restrict ourselves to addressing the issues raised by Kingsley Moghalu in his release and several pronouncements. 1. THAT HE IS NOT AWARE OF HOW DR OBY EZEKWESILI CAME INTO THE PICTURE. PACT had a WhatsApp platform on which we discussed issues relating to the emergence of a Consensus Candidate, which was our primary objective. Right from the inception of PACT, all our meetings were moderated by Dr Thomas-Wilson Ikubese, who was also a Presidential Aspirant and a member of PACT. However, after the meeting before the last, some members suggested on the platform, that we should get a neutral person, possibly a respectable national figure, who will preside over the meeting and serve as the umpire during the electioneering process. The media sub-committee contacted Dr Oby Ezekwesili, who had to cancel some of her itineraries to honour our invitation. None of the PACT members including Prof Kingsley Moghalu raised objection to Dr Ezekwesili serving as the umpire on our WhatsApp platform and none raised objection when she was physically present, before the commencement of the election, during or immediately after the election. Dr Oby Ezekwesili was never a member of PACT. We the members of PACT collectively invited her formally as an umpire, based on her track record as an uncompromising nation builder and she obliged us as part of her sacrifice to seeing the birth of a New Nigeria. She proved her worth again, by supervising the PACT election in a very transparent manner. Why Kingsley Moghalu seeks to paint her black, has orchestrated attacks and spreading of falsehoods against her, simply because he narrowly lost an election which he had so much confidence that he would win, amazes us! 2. THAT HE WAS SHOCKED AT THE PROCESS Kingsley Moghalu was in deed a part of the process and raised no objection at any time. In fact, Kingsley Moghalu, as a lawyer himself, played a major role in amending the Memorandum of Understanding, adding and removing clauses from the original document that was prepared by our lawyer, after which he certified the document as okay. During the first round, Fela Durotoye, Kingsley Moghalu and Mathias Tsado scored 2 votes each, Dr Elishama Ideh scored 1 vote, Godstime Iroabuchi scored 1 vote, Dr Thomas-Wilson Ikubese scored 1 vote, Favour Oluwamuyiwa scored 1 vote and Dare Fagbemi scored 1 vote. The three topmost aspirants then proceeded to the next round, as agreed in the MOU, after which Durotoye scored 4 votes and Moghalu scored 3 votes. Kingsley Moghalu then walked up to Durotoye and congratulated him in the presence of other members of PACT. If he had reservations about the process, why did he not complain on the WhatsApp platform? Why did he not complain when he sighted Dr Oby Ezekwesili in the room? Why did he subject himself to the process? Why did he congratulate Durotoye at the end of the process? 3. THAT CLAUSE 13 OF THE MOU STATES THAT HE IS AT LIBERTY TO WALK AWAY AND PURSUE HIS PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION. We shall reproduce verbatim, the content of the 13th clause herein; "It is also agreed by the Aspirants, that nothing in this document herein shall infringe on the legal right of any Aspirants, including but not limited to his constitutional freedom of association, freedom of expression and other rights as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other relevant laws". This 13th clause did not state that an aspirant who fails to be elected as the Consensus Candidate can yet proceed to pursue his Presidential ambition. It only serves to protect the right of aspirants against any statute that contravenes the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is expedient to highlight the provision of clause 10 which states thus: "The Aspirants therefore agree not to further contest against the preferred Consensus Candidate". NB: The copy of the MOU is herein attached. 4. THAT PACT WAS A DELIBERATE PLOY TO AMBUSH HIS PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION AND EXTERMINATE HIS POLITICAL PURSUIT Our noble intention was to bring all New Breed Presidential hopefuls to the table, get them to vote amongst themselves and pick the aspirant with the highest vote, as the Consensus Candidate. Moghalu was very close to becoming that Candidate. He lost to Durotoye by just one vote in a very transparent election. How could he suddenly turn around and claim that the process was designed to ambush his ambition? Moghalu owes Dr Oby Ezekwesili and members of PACT an apology for this deliberate misinformation. SUMMARY It's on record, that Moghalu called members of PACT individually ahead of the election, and even sent lobysts across to others, soliciting for their votes, on the grounds that he's the "most qualified" of all the New Breed Presidential hopefuls in Nigeria. Yet in a recent interview, he said he does not consider the PACT's process as credible! When asked by the interviewer what his position would have been if he had won, he said; "if I had won, it would have been credible"! So, the process is "not credible", simply because he lost. Kingsley Moghalu has shown that he's not worthy of public trust, as his utterances since he did not emerge as the Consensus Candidate of PACT have been heavily laden with lies and deliberate mis-information. It is therefore time and imperative for us to publish this rebuttal statement. We hope that this statement shall set straight all public information and records related to PACT and at the same time, factually defend Oby Ezekwesili from any further unwarranted attacks for the patriotic role she played as our umpire. Signed on behalf of PACT: *Dr Thomas-Wilson Ikubese *Mathias Tsado *Fela Durotoye *Dr Favour Oluwamuyiwa *Dr Elishama Ideh * Dare Fagbemi *Victor Ani-Laju *Godstime Iroabuchi *Clement Jimbo Dated 17th January, 2019

“Fela, you need to team up with Sowore, Oby & Moghalu.” “Fela, you need to step down for the others. You’re a nice guy.” “Fela, if you really want this New Nigeria, then you must bring all the other candidates to the table. We are depending on you to do this for our generation.” “If you guys don’t come together, you will split our votes and it will be a waste of time, all of you will lose.” - • - • - • - • - So here’s my take on this critical issue of building a COALITION of credible alternatives to the existing political class that have held us bound so far. I hear you all and totally agree with the imperative for a coalition especially among the younger candidates already mentioned, as well as other great minds like Tope Fasua, Ahmed Buhari, Dr. Nicolas Felix, Shina Fagbenro Byron and several other fantastic candidates on this race. Imagine a Unity government (or as I like to say YOU’nited Government) of all these amazingly bright Nigerians. Clearly, the emergence of a great nation will happen right before our very eyes. And whilst I hold on to the hope and trust that our generation can still pull this together, the truth is that it is quite hard to have a coalition when some people say “it’s either me or nobody”. And for me personally, it is even harder when people attack, saying “YOU GUYS are too selfish, greedy, proud etc.” ... when every time an attempt has been made towards a coalition, I HAVE ATTENDED ALL MEETINGS with a readiness to accept whatever the outcomes may be. 3 separate attempts have been organized by different bodies & chaired (or attended) by reputable statesmen like Dr. Christopher Kolade & Prof. Wole Soyinka ... all literally pleading with us to come together. I have honoured all the invitations so far. _ I have constantly subjected myself to democratic processes like PACT & the primaries of the Alliance for New Nigeria party (ANN) ... and each time I had NO GUARANTEE of success & was only privileged to emerge. _ Several of those who said PACT was premature have now come to agree with the wisdom of ASPIRANTS coming together ... as they now realize how much more complicated it is to get CANDIDATES (especially those who didn’t own their parties) to get the buy-in of their entire party structure. Many more stakeholders (Trustees, Excos, State Chairmen etc) are now involved in a candidate’s decision to ‘step down’ in a coalition discussion. As Aspirants, it was as simple as an individual (personal) decision ... once we became candidates and our parties got involved, it would be a lot harder. Harder? Yes ... but NOT impossible. I still believe IT IS POSSIBLE to get everyone on board if the candidates can resolve to put NIGERIA & NIGERIANS ahead of ourselves and our personal ambitions. _ So let say it once again ... If there is a free & fair process (no matter how simple or complex the process is) to determine who leads the coalition team, you can be sure I’ll be there to submit myself to it and accept the outcome ... of course only after securing the blessings of my party’s leadership team. - So ... I am asking you to please reach out to the other candidates and ask them to come to the table. _ Please remind every candidate you can reach that true leadership is about service and sacrifice ... and as I’ve always said, we must put Nigeria 1st, Nigerians next & ourselves last. I AM READY to try again and again until we build the coalition of like minds, like passion and like values to deliver a Nigeria that we will all be proud of ... and I may or may not be at the head of the coalition team ... but as long as it is for the greater good of our nation, then every sacrifice will be worth it, no matter how great. God bless you & God bless Nigeria. FD |
Awol1:The parties for the debate were selected through a transparent poll organized by Channels. If a presidential candidate treated the polls with levity, who is to blame? Those that took the polls seriously made it to the debate. So no hard feelings. |
Fela Durotoye, the Presidential Candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) has been listed among the top five presidential candidates to contest for the highest office in the nation come 2019 General Elections. This was made known yesterday after the Nigerian Elections Debate Group (NEDG) and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) released the names of political parties that will be participating in the 2019 vice presidential and presidential debates. The announcement came after conducting an online public poll to select parties that their presidential candidates will partake in the national debate. In a statement signed by Mr. Eddi Emisiri, the Executive Secretary of the NEDG, the five parties to feature in the national debate are Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Young Progressives Party (YPP). Fela Durotoye's vision is to build a New Nigeria where there are opportunities for all. A nation where the son of a nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody. He believes that given the opportunity to become the president of Nigeria, that Nigeria will become one of the world's most desirable nations to live in, work in, invest in, start businesses and grow businesses come December 31st, 2025. Fela Durotoye is a management consultant, leadership expert and a Nation Builder. He has for the past 14years been involved in national transformational projects at different levels and hopes that if he could do that much with so little when he had absolutely no intention to run for presidency, then he could do much more for the country and its people as Nigeria's helmsman. 1. The Name of the Party—Alliance for New Nigeria. This was intentionally coined with a New Nigeria in mind. And the truth is, every action, decision, and whatever the party does is done with the New Nigeria paradigm in mind because, of course, they must very well represent this New Nigeria for the average Nigerian to see, believe it and then adopt same. 2. It is an Alliance for New Nigeria. In other words, it's not just a name but a platform designed to attract every Nigerian who is sick and tired of the status quo in order to create an alliance or a synergy for bringing the New Nigeria into reality. So if you are a "New Nigerian" and you are looking for like minded people like you, then I recommend Alliance for New Nigeria to you. 3. Most members of this party are not politicians. The party is mostly populated by technocrats who are also nation builders. They are men and women just like you who are successful in their various endeavours but are also very passionate about Nigeria and really seeking for solutions to salvage her from further decay. 4. The purpose for the formation of the party. Alliance for New Nigeria is a party that was founded on the need to answer the clarion call for quality leadership in Nigeria at all strata across the country. As contained in its manifesto, "The Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) was formed as a party with the lofty objectives to pull Nigeria back from the fringe of socio-political and economic hopelessness it has been plunged by successive visionless, self-centered and myopic leaders thrown up as head of government for over fifty years post-colonial independence." 5. The mission of Alliance for New Nigeria is laser-focused on birthing the New Nigeria. It says, "Our mission is to restore Nigeria to her glory path, create and develop a country that will hold its place in the comity of nations, where we rank top 20 in every indices of human development. 6 Their Motto: The difference. Alliance for New Nigeria is all about changing the narrative of Nigeria. How? "As a party determined to make the difference, ANN will present leadership of young, vibrant, technocrats and professionals with proven success records that will reveal that developing and transforming of Nigeria is no rocket science." ANN is not a political party as usual, they live up to their values of Transparency, Integrity and Excellence. 7. And of course, this is the party Fela Durotoye decided to run for President on after much consideration. This should tell you something about the party. It means the party is filled with people with integrity, people who are passionate and truly patriotic and people who desperately desire that a New Nigeria will be birth come 2019. And by the way, that's why I am among them. Need I say more? If you are truly a "New Nigerian" looking for a party or platform that will represent Nigeria's interest, yours and that of your upcoming generations, a Nigeria that we truly can be proud of, then Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) is the platform. Join Alliance for New Nigeria today! Join ANN and let's make a difference together by supporting and voting for a New Nigeria where opportunities abound for any and everyone. ANN! Truly the difference! Effiong Edentekhe, The Word Carpenter.

Fela Durotoye, the Presidential Candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria, ANN, took to his official Twitter handle today to paint the New Nigeria story with the trending NaijaStew narrative. On his Instagram page, he said "I’d like to add a few thoughts concerning this matter of #StewEverywhere from a different perspective" It’s not about #EverywhereStew, let’s fix the pot. According to his perspective, Nigeria was the pot, the resources is the stew, and that the pot can be fixed if we all come to build a new pot. Excerpts of his tweets are shown below. Awesome! This is so on point. Someone needs to talk sense into the heads of these Nigerian youths. Finally! |
Yesterday witnessed the return and reconciliation of 8 Northern State Chairmen of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN). After the National Executive Committee meeting held at the National Secretariat at Abuja, all the 8 Northern State Chairmen affirmed their allegiance to the party leadership of Mr. Emmanuel Dania, the National Chairman of ANN and also their support for the flag bearer/presidential candidate of the party, Mr. Fela Durotoye. The spokesperson of the group, the Jigawa State Chairman, Mr. Hussaini D. Zakar, as nominated by the 8 Northern chairmen, said they were misled and deceived. He apologised to the committee and asked the party to forgive them, that they left the party for political reasons, and that they have also returned in that same vein. In his words, "Our stand now is that we have withdrawn any of our allegiance to any faction of the party. We dedicate all our loyalty to Alliance for New Nigeria under the leadership of our able and lovely Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Dania." He went further to add to say they were misled and deceived. In his words, " What we did before was purely for political reasons but we later realise that we were on the wrong side and said let us go back to our mother party. We were misleaded and we were deceived. We thank God that before it went further we realised our mistakes. We hope every member of ANN will please forgive us and pardon us." The National Chairman of the party, in responding to their speech, welcomed all the 8 party State Chairmen and gave each of them a handshake as a symbol of extending the hand of fellowship of ANN to them again. There was an uproar of exciting shouts, and applause amidst exchange of hugs and pleasantries. The 8 Northern States that were represented in the reconciliation were Bauchi State, Yobe State, Jigawa State, Zamfara State, Taraba State, Sokoto State, Kaduna State, and Gombe State respectively. This is a step in the right direction as the party prepares to launch her presidential campaign come the 18th of November 2018. Alliance for New Nigeria is one of the new political parties that recently emerged, with a mission is to restore Nigeria to its glory path. It aims to create and develop a country that will hold its place in the comity of nations, where it will rank top 20 in every indices of human development. The partys presidential candidate is Adetokunbo Olufela Durotoye, a business consultant, leadership expert, and motivational speaker. UnusualTeajay:Definitely! |
We have just been informed of the lies going around that the Certificate of Return issued to Fela Durotoye as the flag bearer and presidential candidate of the party by the National Chairman of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) was forged. Again, these are baseless lies from the Olawepo-Hashim camp and former interim chairman, Dr. Jay Samuels. The said “ANN National Secretary”, Alhaji Sahid Umar is a member of the renegade faction of the Alliance for New Nigeria which has now coalesced with People’s Trust party to become the Alliance for People’s Trust. With the position of the National Secretary vacant, the Deputy National Secretary, Dr. Osita Okonkwo has assumed the role of National Secretary, Alliance for New Nigeria; and that is HIS AUTHENTIC SIGNATURE on the certificate. Gbenga Olawepo Hashim, Dr. Jay Samuels and their cohorts of the Alliance for People’s Trust should be careful of making incendiary statements; as the Chairman, Emmanuel Dania and the National Executive of Alliance for New Nigeria have been ratified and recognized by INEC as legitimate authorities in ANN. We welcome those “criminal proceedings” as an opportunity to show Gbenga Olawepo Hashim and his cohorts as the brigands and liars they are. Second, concerning the PACT issue, Fela Durotoye is NOT the convener of PACT, but was invited, just like 17 other Presidential aspirants were. A formal letter from PACT was written to Dr. Oby Ezekwesili by the conveners of PACT, to umpire the process. She accepted; and oversaw a transparent process, which saw Fela Durotoye emerge as the Consensus Candidate. It is crystal clear that a New Nigeria will not and cannot be built by the old political class represented by Olawepo-Hashim, Jay Samuels and their rabble rousers of the Alliance for People’s Trust. Fela Durotoye has always been a man of great character and integrity and has consistently run a clean campaign, free of mudslinging and he will not descend into the dirt where the pigs play. Find photos below.
