QuotaSystem:Longest time my brother. Is good to know you are still around. Good to see you. Kasan kwankwaso bazaka iya sanin inda zajeba. But merging with Tinubu will be a plus for APC in kano state. Whether we admit it or not, kwankwaso have large followers in kano. But Kazan mutuminka da girman Kai, I don't think it will be possible. Besides if he merges with APC, his kwankwasiyya soldiers won't take him serious again. Maybe some won't! Lol, talking about elections; how do you as a northerner view the constant 'threat' of power must return to the south by some of our southern brothers? A person like me dislike threats. Ya ka gani ne? |
otipoju:The PDP/APC campaign offices, their card carrying members, their elected officials from councilors to senators, governors, their retired political office holders, grassroots mobilization team, financial warchest, even their propaganda units, etc. These are just some of the structures a serious political party is supposed to have and I don't see LP nor NNPP having any of this things. Aside the social media mob, what are the other structures of LP? I visited Kaduna yesterday, and I was perplexed with the number of buildings APC are buying just for campaign purpose. You see my friend, this is a serious party. |
otipoju:Don't kid yourself. Even if Kwankwaso accepts Obi's offer, they will still be defeated by APC or PDP. The coming together of two political parties without structure can't defeat a well grounded party. |
Kwankwaso maybe a little bit popular in the northwest but the man lacks structure. Though I foresee his candidate in the kano governorship election doing good. Abba is loved by kanolites. I won't say he will even win the election but I won't be surprised if he did win. Although Gawuna is loved too by Kanolites. |
This senseless governor again. You can't force anybody to vote for your candidate. If the northerners feel that Atiku is their choice and voted for him, you cant do anything if the man wins the election. The North is not a region where small fries like this dumb governor can threaten!! There are many people in the North that don't care about Atiku or whatever, but when you want to use the voice of threat to talk to the North, that's when we will dare you by voting Atiku just to see what you will do if Atiku wins. People should learn how to talk |
Funny. You guys will be sitting somewhere and dishing out silly results that your preferred candidate(s) will get from the North. The same North you have never step a foot in. Honestly this is the height of ridiculousness. Not saying tinubu won't get votes from the north, but giving him some certain percentage in the North is laughable. Though I understand is your opinion! Currently the only person that will be sure of getting the majority of votes in the North is buhari. And the man is not on the ballot this time around. Old alliances are coming back, people are planning, etc. Lol |
Well the man is sick; this I will agree with Mr Obi. 2023 is going to be interesting. A disorganized party{PDP} is going head on with a party that presents a Muslim Muslim ticket thereby 'alienating' some of the Christians votes. While Labour Party depend so much on their social media followers and noise makers, this will be the party's biggest undoing! Elections are won at the grassroots levels. What ever votes you get from social media mob is added as a plus, nothing any seasoned politician will take serious. |
This is politics. Nothing new in what the governor said. Politicians will want to win elections whether by crook or any other means. The way APC are trying to break the PDP ranks is the same way PDP will want to break APC's ranks. Nothing odd about this. If is even going to be possible, PDP will want buhari on their side, nothing new here. Prior to 2015 elections, Nigerians saw how some PDP guys worked against their party which made APC victorious. And of course Atiku have strong loyalists among the APC people. They won't just come out clearly to support him because of the respect most of them have for buhari. This is just politics. Nothing else |
Mr Obi won't win a single local government in the entire North. Parading people on the street doesn't translate to any votes. All this street charades are mostly influenced by money. People from different LG of the state converge themselves in the state capital and people think they will win election |
I don't think Atiku and his clique will bother themselves that much with wike or the other PDP renegades. The plan will be to hold on tight to their region which is the North and get the required percentage from the South. Already the election is taking an ethnic/regional dimension just like I predicted and each region will want to vote for their man. Atiku isn't that smart, but a person like Tambuwal should be APC's major concern. The guy is smart, was once a speaker, have friends across party lines, etc. |
The ball is in wike's court. The party has dared him, do your worst they say. wike's only game will be to work against the party or exit the party. Exiting the party won't be an option for wike I guess |
The only person that has enjoyed cult followers for the past two decades in the North is Buhari. Don't let anybody deceive you, northerners will vote both APC and PDP regardless. Which party will get the majority votes is something that isn't clear for now. Alignments, negotiations and politicking are still going on. 2023 will be interesting |
Corridon:What do you guys gain from lying everytime. You said boko haram corpses haven't been displayed for once? What kind of silly lie is this. And you will have people that will believe you. Gosh |
Good one. May God continue to protect our gallant soldiers. They are recording so many successes against the enemies of the Nigerian state. |
Niger state is one state that might go to PDP in 2023. I mean, the current APC governor is the worst governor in the country. Go to Niger State and you will see that nothing is working. They voted an incompetent governor who doesn't have time for governance. Eight good years wasted without any tangible achievement. Is a pity |
casualobserver:God bless you for this. Everyday, Mr Obi just exposes himself as a very clueless person. I won't be surprised if he actually doesn't understand what he even tweeted. Developing countries have no business in contracting their economy. It doesn't even make any sense. |
Heterodox:Thank you. We import almost everything in this country and one dullard is talking about using a policy that won't work for us. |
Esseite:Maybe Mr Obi should stop saying things he has no iota of idea on. |
AfricanColumbus:There is nothing fantastic about what he said. The man when to USA and heard about contractionary monetary policy (a kind of macroeconomic tool) that the USA adopt for their federal reserve, and boom, the man(obi) just assumed that such policy can work for Nigeria. What works for A is not likely to work for B. There is a big difference between an economist who understands every dynamism of both micro/macro economics with someone who is a trader. |
Fight of three/two clowns. |
I think Mr Tinubu has relocated to Abuja permanently? Funny, the man has been in Abuja ever since he was voted as the APC flag bearer... |
The confidence is something else. You haven't been elected 'yet' |
The Northern governors that surreptitiously foisted Tinubu as the party candidate versus the presidency cabal that wanted Osibanjo/Amaechi as the party's flag bearer. The story of APC. Interesting time ahead. |
As much as I thought. Many of those APC governors, senators are Atiku's inner caucus people. People like elrufai will only attack PDP but he will never attack Atiku. These guys are a click irrespective of the party they represent. And you'd be surprised where their loyalty stands. |
Well if you say Atiku doesn't have the right to contest, so is Tinubu. Man doesn't have the right to contest under APC because buhari, a Muslim is about to finish an eight years tenure. So the sensible thing was to handover to a southern Christian, but Tinubu and his SW people said is their turn. Now the implication of Tinubu's refusal to give way for a southern Christian will affect the party in some years to come. If Tinubu "eventually" wins the election and completes his 4/8 years, where do you think the ticket will go; isn't the ticket going to the north again? And do you think the ticket will be given to a Northern Christian? Absolutely no way! And that's what the few sensible people in APC tried to avoid. |
Funny. |
Whoever wins between Atiku and Tinubu, I just hope his administration will be better than this present government. Buhari tried to some extent, but some of his policies are anti-masses. And then the issue of insecurity that this present administration couldn't resolve. Well I will keep my fingers crossed and pray for a good, competent and compassionate leader for this country. I believe; Nigerians have suffered enough because of bad leaders. |
Funny. Why cant you just leave their party for them if you are serious. Making unnecessary enemies for yourself is not a wise political move. The people you castigate today, you will be surprised that you will need them so badly tomorrow in your political life journey. The wailings, name calling, indirect attack is becoming boring. If you don't want to work with them, be bold and tell them to their faces. That's what men do. |
This is sheikh Albani Zaria of late memory. He wasn't talking about Tinubu or anybody. He died some couple of years ago, I think 2012 or so. There isn't any reason why you should spread malicious lies against the person of this respected scholar. |
Truthisunique2:Young man, all over the world, you will always find traditional voters. This class of voters don't actually care about candidate of a party, but rather they will always vote for the party irrespective of the party's flag bearer. |
LegendHero:With or without kwankwaso, HE Tinubu will still get some reasonable votes in Kano. There are many traditional voters in the North, and this voters will vote for their party of choice no matter what. And luckily for APC they have so many traditional voters, I mean the buhari diehards. |
The way you talked about tinubu's power is funny. Your Tinubu won't win anything without the support of the North. Take away the support of Northern APC governors from him, and your darling tinubu won't even win his southwest region. And this is fact. |
