I believe this petty things are not what any sensible electorate will want to hear from people that promised hope or unity. The country is in shambles. Inflation is on an all time high. A bag of rice is about 50,000, insecurity is on the increase, etc. These and many more are the problems Nigerians want the so-called politicians to solve. Not petty attacks on one another! |
The kwankwaso I know will never accept to be a vice president to Peter Obi. |
What will APC tell the masses when they start their campaigns? Are they going to tell Nigerians how everything has increased by about 300% or the insecurity that is still bedeviling the country, etc. Not a good time, but politicians will always have what to tell people. It will be up to Nigerians to score APC. May God help us!!! |
Guess he is trying to send his message to rural dwellers in the northern part of the country. I believe majority of them listen to VOA Hausa and BBC Hausa every day of their lives. Besides that's practically their number one source of information. |
Hope Mr Bello isn't having a crush on this woman. |
The governorships election will be hotly contested even more than the presidential election in the North. Some many ruling states might flip to the opposition and vice versa. My major interest in 2023 will be the governorships election of Kano, Kaduna and Bauchi states. This elections will be interesting. El-rufai have a solid opposition, Bala have a very strong opposition, Gawuna will go head on with Kwankwaso's Abba. What will even make these contentions more interesting is the absence of Buhari on the ballot. A "all man for himself" kind of election. God help us |
First time. It shouldn't be only PDP and APC. I was having a chat with a brother here in Kano, he said he will vote LP. I was really surprised because he wasn't joking/bluffing. Congrats LP! I bet he will be the only person that will vote LP in Kano. It will be a very big miracle if LP could get 50,000 votes in the entire North. 75% of northern Christians vote PDP in every general election and I don't think anything will change this time around. |
Isn't this interference in our domestic issue by outside forces? |
Do INEC have a polling unit in Tanzania? |
Nyamuri:But I never said I will vote Atiku. Look, the two major contenders should be scrutinized by the voters. The one with the best track records should be voted. Tinubu is a good administrator even though he has some flaws like every human being. Atiku has his own achievements as a former VP even though many people labeled him corrupt. The North can't afford to make the Buhari mistake trice(though God knows the best). I don't think the region will survive it. We shouldn't allow petty sentiments get the better part of us. Like I usually say; northerners are the biggest losers in Nigeria for the past 10-17years, and this election will either push the north further down or bring some kind of uplifting for the region. There is still enough time for northerners to know who will best protect their interest and ease the hardship many people are passing through. If is Tinubu that's great, if is Atiku that's okay too. |
And if I may ask, who are you to tell northerners who to vote for and who not to vote for? That decision should be with the electorates. What happened after northerners voted for buhari? Didn't he disappoint almost every northerner? What's the cost of living today compared to some years ago? What's the security situation in the North? What's the value of naira when converted to dollars? I believe these questions should shape any decision the northerner will take when he is about to elect a candidate. Emotions and sentiments will not take anybody anywhere. The problems on ground; who is the best person to tackle them should be considered by people who are affected by these problems. |
But the people you want to lead will be interested in what you want to do for them. Unless you are planning to govern aliens. I even noticed the LP have stopped organizing fake rallies up and down. So what happened? No funds or the razzmatazz have slowly died down like I suspected. Some people think presidential elections are easy. A lot of money must be involved, political heavyweights must be involved, your party must have structures all over the country, etc. That's why I don't even take Obi and his LP any serious. Well i won't be surprised if Mr Obi steps down for for anybody in the coming days to come. Is clear to everybody that he and his LP can't maintain the momentum; they are already overwhelmed! |
This man is politically done. You don't play this type of bitter politics and survive. Whatever the outcome of 2023 will be, his party will deal with him. If they lost the election, he will be in soup. If they win the election, he will still be in soup. PDP will deploy everything they have to uproot him from the party. Wike just want to hijack the party after the election that's why he is insisting that Ayu must resign before the election. Of course the PDP atiku camp know this. If their fracas isn't settled before the election, I don't see wike surviving politically. |
mrvitalis:I bet you think 500million dollars is equivalent to 500million naira. Mr Obi didn't clear any debt so I didn't know were you got this lie from. There was no LG election till his tenure elapsed, doctors when on strike for 13 good months, he didn't complete a single project in his 8years as a governor, he increased the school fee of tertiary students to about 200%, opened a Pandora account with his daughter's name where state funds are looted into, he is archaic, clannish and bigoted. He sacked civil servants from the state civil service Board, why? Because they were not indigenous to Anambra state. During his tenure as the governor, Anambra state was a safe haven for all sorts of crime especially arm robbery. Insecurity bedeviled the state which didn't see any local or foreign investors invest in his state. When he was the governor ; What was Anambra's HDI The state's HPI Anambra's genuine process indicator was very low because the state GDP couldn't complement anything. Obi was a failure, is a failure and will continue to be a failure as far as leading people is concerned! |
mrvitalis:Okay as the governor of Anambra State, what were his achievements? Please tell me. |
mrvitalis:Funny. Who is deceiving you guys that Obi will win? He won't win a single local government in the north this am very sure of. You guys think social media bandwagon translates to real votes or what? How can a structure less party with an incompetent candidate win the election? Even in his region he will struggle to win two states. Isn't ojukwu more popular, more charismatic than Obi? But what happened when he contested for the position of the president? Southeast didn't vote for him. |
Politics shouldn't be about hate, vengeance, vindictiveness. It shouldn't be a do or die affair. Well Atiku and Tinubu are long time friends. I believe anyone that win the election among the two of them will perform better than this present government. May God guide us to make the right choice. Amin |
MyVILLAGEpeople:This election, whoever wins the North especially northcentral and northwest wins the general election. And this is fact unless we just want to deceive ourselves. |
ls really sad that musicians and foolish people are the ones that direct a very reasonable number of northerners on who to vote for. A clown sings a silly song praising a candidate ; and puff before you know it, people are rhyming to the song. That's how they will go into the election and vote for incompetent people just because of a song they like. This is sad!!! |
Jflex07:Why won't the North support an igbo candidate that is not clannish? Look at Tinubu, you can see some northerners supporting him. And why is that? I bet you know the answer. |
RZArecta:Nobody is supporting any vindictiveness against Obi. I only reminded some of you that Obi had El-rufai locked up in his hotel room some years back. What if... What if... What if..... You see, karma might be real |
Apophenia24k:I know he was invited. But I expected him to decline the invite since he said he doesn't have any business with the North at a time he was a governor. I know the Igbo people have great minds among them, but presenting Obi as their candidate is just below the belt. I expected someone better. Someone that is pan-Nigerian, someone that his competency will always speak for him. But Obi is just, I don't even know. Even as a governor he was a total mess. I don't hate obi even for a sec, I only wish the igbos will present someone better that Nigerians can rally around such person. |
He(Hakeem) isn't the elder brother of Dr Datti Ahmed. Please Op take note. And I thought Obi said he doesn't have any business with the North or northerners some years back. So what is he going to do in Kaduna state? If el-rufai want to be vindictive, he can make obi's visit to kaduna a very turbulent one, but I believe el-rufai is not a petty person. |
Interesting election to look out for in the north are; Kaduna kano Bauchi These three states will surely be battleground states. |
The man wants his followers to believe that he is a simple man. I still believe that Mr Obi is in the race just to gather money from gullible folks that will donate their money for his campaign. My instinct is telling me the deceiver will step down at the dire minute; and my instinct don't usually fail me. When he was a governor, was he always wearing black attire? |
This is one state that might flip to PDP. The current governor of the state performed so poorly. APC will really need to work extra hard to win this state. |
successmatters:Funny. But he doesn't need that. His people elected him to work for them which he did. Lol, speaking at Harvard is NOT an achievement. |
successmatters:It will be an insult to Kwankwaso to be compared with a certified failure like Obi. Kwankwaso achievements will always speak for him, whereas Obi didn't achieve anything when he governed Anambra. The facts are there. Academically, kwankwaso is not Obi's mate. Go to Kano today, you will see so many blueprints of Kwankwaso's achievements. |
This is what any serious politician is expected to be doing. Not clowning around the globe, giving unsolicited, unintelligent lectures to audiences that are not going to vote. The next trick in the bag is to give out his personal account number for his gullible followers to donate for him. Wonder.. .... |
This guy is a complete clown. If this guy is the best the southeast can present then am completely disappointed in them. A guy that isn't serious, gallivanting around the globe with the funds that are pumped into their campaign by gullible supporters, doesn't understand the simplest basic of economics which is demand and supply, graduated with a pass in philosophy, doesn't know what green energy stands for, performed woefully as the governor of Anambra State, etc. Mr Obi was the first governor in Nigeria that deported his fellow Nigerians from his state, calling them unprintable names. He even said it with his own mouth that he doesn't have any business with the North during his reign as governor. Not that he is going to win 3 states, but for someone that will be representing the east, he ought to do better. Or maybe the east should present a better candidate next time. |
kcnwaigbo:Don't say what you don't know mister. The most liberal electorates in Nigeria are northerners. Millions of northerners will vote for Tinubu even if he isn't one of them, but because they believe he will perform if he is elected. And I want to believe so too. Buhari is the only person that northerners can give their block votes for. Any other politician is dispensable as far as northerners are concerned. We voted Abiola over Tofa, We voted Obasanjo, and I believe Tinubu won't be an exception. The average northerner is not a bigot. |
