Obi and his obidients crew will be disgraced nationally. You guys will be a taught a very good political lesson that elections have never been won by social media mobs. I personally don't see Obi winning even his state! |
So nobody told the APC candidate that the sultan is not supposed to take sides with any candidate. And what does he mean by "you must endorse me"? |
Gracious God. APC fighting itself. What a wonderful time to be alive. You guys failed already so all this sanctimonious outcry is totally uncalled for. |
lazynairalander1:You know you guys are too small to intimidate any northerner. Both Atiku and Tinubu are not popular with most northerners. If some are okay with Tinubu, good. If they want Atiku that's their choice. |
The northerners have every right to vote whoever they feel will protect their interest better. If it's APC good, if it's PDP is also good. The northern governors agreed with anybody doesn't all northerners agreed to vote that person. Is nobody's business if El-rufai had a pact with Tinubu and is also nobody's business if some governors had a pact with Atiku. Nobody can intimidate the North to vote for anybody. People should be allowed to vote whoever they want! |
Can you guys please stop disturbing everybody about some cabal and solve the problems of fuel and naira scarcity for crying out loud. People are fighting everyday in bank halls just to access their own money. |
I think Nigeria is practicing democracy and every citizen have the right to contest for any political office as long as he isn't a convict. Your power as an electorate is to ensure he don't win by not voting for him. |
People might not agree with him but that's the fact. The northern Christians are not up to 20% of the Northern population. The only states they are in majority in the north are plateau and Benue states respectively. You can find some pockets of them in some North Central and North Eastern states. The northern christians are politically savvy, they are intelligent and of course, they always vote strategically, no emotions! Majority of them are hardcore PDP fanatics though with Peter Obi on the ballot, some of them will cast their votes for him. Some will even vote APC. But like I said, they are strategic voters. They usually vote base on protected interest(religion affiliation) and nothing more. |
Tinubu's chances in this election has been greatly affected by this new naira policy here in the North coupled with this lingering fuel queue. People are angry and this is the fact! Is just like there is a conspiracy somewhere by some very powerful people on stopping Tinubu to win the election. It will be a herculean task for APC to win the election if we are to even consider Atiku's loyalists across the length and breath of the North. But I believe tinubu is no pushover himself! May God help us!! |
You guys better tell that stubborn buhari to halt the silly cashless policy and suspend that incompetent CBN governor |
Tinubu still have the upper hand to win the election. Though this silly cashless policy and endless queues in filling stations may greatly affect his chances. I have seen what people are going through just to get fuel and the new naira notes. Cashless Society can never work in an overpopulated country like Nigeria with a great number of illiterates, and this is fact! People are really angry and if care is not taken, they will transfer their anger and frustration on APC on the election day. But APC still have the upper hand! |
FreeStuffsNG:You talk like you are not in Nigeria. How many market women can operate smart phones? And don't you think the issue of fake alerts will become rampant? Anybody who runs a business will know the negative implication of this new naira notes. PS. I'm not even against the change of currency but the timing, the deadline, etc are all wrong. What many people are saying is give Nigerians more time. Didn't Goodluck change the naira when Sanusi was the governor there? Is this how they went about it? Even last year I still saw the old 100naira currency that Sanusi changed. |
SoftP:I don't know why you obidients or whatever you call yourselves don't think. How will this silly policy affect politicians that can get whatever amount they need from the banks? Politicians that have access to forex, etc. Isn't this policy affecting the poor masses already? And is not like Obi is going to win anything. I don't think he will even win his state! |
It won't work and it is not even working. The incompetent buhari led government just pushed millions of nigerians into more difficult situation. I just came back from a bank. The so called new naira is not available at the ATM gallery and people are still queueing for the money. This was the same thing buhari did when he was the head of state, the man was the architect of killing the value of naira in the 80s. How will you just wake up and implement a policy that is clearly anti-masses? The politicians will always have their ways if the want to buy votes, you can't really stop them! Businesses both small and big are suffering because many businessmen don't have bank accounts. They prefer saving their money in their stores. Our country is not ready for any stupid cashless policy at the moment. We haven't reach that stage as a nation! |
You don't want to address the hopeless situation you and your government put millions of Nigerians in, your only wish is to get in the next plane and junket all over the world. You and your incompetent CBN governor brought a policy that is clearly anti-masses and nobody in your clueless government is saying anything about it. And this is how you guys expect people especially northerners to still go out and vote for your party when you can't clearly address their plight. Well I won't be surprised if many northerners refuse to vote for APC in the general election. Everybody, even the Buhari diehards are complaining except for some political jobbers. You want to buy fuel, you queue for hours, you want money, you queue for hours, there is hopelessness everywhere and you begin to wonder were ordinary Nigerians got it wrong. May God help us! |
Pulling crowd in the north doesn't translate to high votes. Any Jack and Harry can do that. Though I believe it will be very difficult for APC to retain the governorship election there because of all the negative sentiments against HE matawalle. The presidential election will be very dicey and open for either Tinubu or Atiku. Any of them can get the most votes there. |
I don't even bother myself with the obi of a man and his silly promises because I know he won't even come third in the election. If the man is lucky enough, he might win Anambra State, his home state. Nobody in his right senses will vote for an ipob candidate here in the North. Not the northern christians nor the northern Muslims. The Election is between APC and PDP. And everything now is a close to call. You can't really say who is going to win. Though I believe APC have a bit upper hand but people might revolt against them with their votes. Many Nigerians have not been finding things easy for some years now, though not everything is the party's fault, but some of the problems people are facing are the architectural work of APC. |
beejaay:And what's anybody's business if he decides to withdraw whatever amount from his account? Is it not his money? The politicians that emefiele said he is fighting are still getting any amount from their various bank managers and nobody is sanctioning them. Why will Emefiele policy only affect SMEs, small entrepreneurs, locals and rural dwellers? A banking system that tax almost anything you do with a bank is just setting up receipts for disaster. You can't even get decent loans from the banks without outrageous interest. And all these silly policies are emefiele's handwork. Anyway I don't blame him, rather I blame buhari for retaining that incompetent man for almost 8yrs. And look at the disaster the man brought to the country because of his incompetence. Most of you here have zero idea about the kind of damage emefiele did to the banking sector that's why you will support him. Anyways his time is almost up! |
MadamExcellency:I know about the transfer. But if your business is about dealings with the locals, nobody will want any transfer from you. Besides even the transfer has its limit. I tried to transfer to some persons and my account was barred. Went to complain to the bankers, and these guys were still telling me is a new policy from CBN. Emefiele is just clueless. How can redesigning currency or reducing people's daily withdrawal limit be an antidote to tackling terrorism or banditry. Does that even make any sense? What's the work of the security agencies in the country? I don't even understand the silliness behind currency redesign |
ganisucks:Bear with who? How about if the business runs down before they fix whatever that have to fix? Huh? A business colleague wanted to withdraw some money from the bank and this foolish cashiers were telling him he has to part away with a whooping 200,000 thousand if he wants to get the money. Who does that for God sake. |
PrinceOfLagos:If you are business person you won't be saying the nonsense you just said. Some of you are just impossible |
Went to a bank to get my own personal money, not anybody's money, and these people that I entrusted my money with are telling me that I CAN'T withdraw the amount I wanted to withdraw. That I have to withdraw the money in batches. And the next thing you will hear is; this new policy is from CBN. Why are these people bent on frustrating the common man. I'm not a politician but a businessman. Why can't I have access to my own money? |
Anybody that tells you Mr Obi is going to win this year's election, I promised you; never take such person serious again when it comes to political issues. Is better for you. |
2023 is going to be very interesting. Repositioning, betrayals etc will be the order of the day. One mistake PDP will make is underestimating some of their party members, while the mistake APC will make is betraying some party members for the ambition of their presidential candidate. Let's see!!! |
TooMuchStuff:The Northern Christians will vote for only PDP or APC. They won't vote LP!! Even in the heart of southern kaduna were Christians constitute the majority there, they won't vote for LP. Those guys aren't political naive like you guys think. |
Obinoscopy:No sir there won't be any run off. There will be a clear winner and a loser. Atiku and Tinubu will get the required percentage in the six regions of the country. That's what structures do. The person that will win big in his base and and also win some states outside his stronghold will win the election. Tinubu will win the southwest with a wide margin and win some states outside the southwest. I don't know about Atiku's acceptance in the northwest. Is not yet clear which candidate will win big in the region between Atiku and Tinubu. Though many of the youths are clamoring for Atiku and the elderly ones are still for APC. One can't just say yet! The North Central will clearly be divided between Atiku and Tinubu The South South will likely go for PDP. PDP might win there but it won't be landslide victory. The North east just like the northwest isn't guaranteed for anybody yet. Some states will go for APC while some will go for PDP. The South east will be an open ground for everybody though if I want to bring sentiments in, I will give the region to Obi. But Obi won't even win his region because social media popularity don't win you elections. No matter how we want to spin it, your structure on ground does the magic for you. |
The election is clearly between Tinubu and Atiku. I expect anybody with a little knowledge of politics and how Nigeria politics is should know this. Both Obi and kwankwaso are going no where. They DON'T have that structure to disrupt anything. What they will eventually get in the election is nothing but pocket votes which won't do any harm to the major contestants (atiku and tinubu). Either way I absolutely don't care about anybody that might eventually win between atiku and tinubu. My only hope is that the next administration should be better than this present one. |
This is good. Support who supported you no matter what. This is our type of politics. And one thing I like about Tinubu is the fact that the man is not vindictive, doesn't hold grudges with people. In politics, you learn to forgive, count your blessings or lose and move on. |
The election is clearly between Atiku and Tinubu. Others will only act as 'spoilers' for the major candidates. Well am not even sure they will spoil so much for the major candidates considering the fact that they don't have the political structures to do that. Take for example labour party; a party with no single serious physical presence in the entire North, how can such a party be taken serious for God's sake. I heard their presidential candidate telling people that he doesn't have a manifesto, so how can people hold you accountable? Kwankwaso on the other hand understands the game of politics. He is only building his profile and power house for 2027 or 2031 considering the fact that he isn't very old. I won't be surprised if Kwankwaso steps down for either Tinubu or Atiku. 2023 will be interesting. My prayer is; whoever wins between Atiku or Tinubu; hopefully the performance will be far better than what we have today. |
Probably sponsored by rival party if is true. Politicians will rent crowd, politicians will arrange silly people to embarrass you, politicians will buy votes, etc. Like cmon, Nigerians politicians can do anything just to win elections. |
The G5 as they are called need a core Northern face in their group so that they won't be viewed as anti-northern in some quarters. And this is if they actually want Bala to join them. The G7 that dealt a heavy blow on Jonathan's reelection have renegades governors across the board, but this Wike led G5 looks pretty much like a witch hunt and that's how some northerners might view it. Even though Atiku might not be very popular among some northerners but somethings can wipe up people's sentiments. I believe Wike is trying to play safe in his endless fight with Atiku. |
2023, the northern elites are for APC while the younger generation are with the opposition parties. This is my personal observation so far, but many things might change in the coming days ahead. I believe the APC governors have no choice but to work for the success of the party. Because working against their party will be a wrong move that might end some persons political careers. |
