Kobojunkie:

If you consider that in the context of this present discussion, it does make sense in some way.

Well, its all about perception.

I would not come here screaming "Na wa for Aba" when I am fully aware that my own state guv'nor is doing no better. As I stated earlier the pics just reminds me that all is not well, not just with Abia, but with Nigeria as a whole.

must_a_far:

and how did u deduce that i see it as an independent anomaly? cos i read the comment that prompted your tantrum and nowhere does it single out abia as being the only such state with such.

Ur own words,

im anxiously waiting for someone to come cry tribalism and start countering that doesnt my state have this and that too.

must_a_far:

its not about, "NO STATE CAN BOAST TO BE DIFFERENT" its about some states are working towards changing things while some are not doing anything at all. my comment wasnt to boast that my state is not like that. it was prompted by the thought that someone would attack our persons that our states are not better. instead of focusing on what the thread is pointing to.

Its either I misunderstood what U were trying to convey (in which case I apologise) or U intended to say something but ended up saying something different  grin

I am not even from the fucking state , so why should I be throwing tantrums  undecided

I am just saying those kind of pics are not unique to Abia state. Those pics remind of me some places in Oshodi (Lagos) , Okpoko (Anambra) , Daurawa (Kano).  So the exclamation "Na wa for Aba" does not make sense to me.

i never said anything in any of my posts that points in the direction that there are some states that have gold paved streets and silver pouring out of taps instead of water. so him asking me that question as a way to counter my post must have been a joke i didnt get.

Actually, the joke here is U seeing the Abia story as an independent anomaly within the Nigerian polity.

its not about, "NO STATE CAN BOAST TO BE DIFFERENT" its about some states are working towards changing things while some are not doing anything at all.

When Orji Uzor Kalu was the guv'nor, he gave us the impression that Abia state was being transformed. A little probing into his claims reveal a different picture. Most states and thier guv'nors play by the same book. Show U what they want U to see and try to sweep other massive anomalies under the rug.

I would like to be given an example of a state where all is gold and indeed glitters.

The Abia state story is just a representation of the colossal failure we call Nigeria. No state can boast to be different
Politics / Re: Police Need N2,500 To Feed Each Dog Per Day by Finally: 6:14pm On Feb 10, 2009
bawomolo:

what happened to feeding dogs the left overs and trash from mama put grin

kai na hotel for dogs dem get for police barracks.

Or even left over bones from those pepper soup joints grin

Since when did dogs become the main problem in the Nigerian Police force undecided A quarter of that money would go a long way in re-training and adequately equipping the Nigerian Police Force. Someone here has got priorities issues by placing the dogs far above the personnel that is supposed to be in charge of these dogs. How would I feel as a Policeman if the Police dogs get 2500 naira a day for feeding allowances while I get less than 50 bucks angry

No internet ----- I would give U that one
No network----- U must be kidding. Kpata kpata U climb one mountain or hilltop, service go come by force
No access roads---- As long as we have apiam route , no wahala
No light-- Old news. Generator don finish.

Even with all the above, there is no gainsaying that home is the best.

Fine, absolutely having a beautiful day.

u nko? how school?

I know this is going to sound cruel and mean, but I cannot keep it in.
If you know you cannot teach your child the right path, if you do not have the time, plz try to prevent an unwanted pregnancies.
Condoms, abstinence, pills, etc.
And this advice is not only pertaining to the pregnant baby at hand, also to every mother out there who willingly had sex, yet do not have the time to educate the child about the consequence of unprotected sexual intercourse.
EDUCATION IS THE KEY
Is it me or does this dame always put up posts that is full of wisdom beyond her age  undecided

Nigerian guys are not rare and unusual. They are special and unusual.
Most Nigerian guys have taught me everything not to do in relationships.
If Aristotle studied Nigerian men, he would have gone crazy before reaching halfway.

Thankfully, those assholes called Nigerian men are not the only men on this planet.

Try men from Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia. Heck, lets even experiment with Jamaican men and the well known AA. U guys are spoilt for choice  grin

I am not getting modest.
A girl who has her own money will not be easily impressed by a rich guy. I want to make my own money so I don't have to depend on any guy for his wealth. LMAO @ Ruby's answer.
If all S are Ps and Ps are S?
Aristotle did not study Nigerian guys.

LMAO grin

Ypbo is kinda losing it. He used to be top notch. I hope this is just a temporary dip in form and not something permanent.

Even in Everton, he has been having some below par performances and was dropped in their last match . sad

Foreign Affairs / Re: Usa Economy Is Falling by Finally: 6:14pm On Oct 10, 2008
It has a lot to do with Nigeria, directly or indirectly. If Asia is feeling the heat of the crumbling American economy , then it would be foolhardy to think that Nigeria would not feel the crunch. However, the question is how are we going to emerge from this? Are we going to be weaker or stronger in the long term.

The crumbling american economy should not be a surprise. The writing has been on the wall for a long time. With the Asians (mostly China) emerging as the major producer/manufacturers of the world while America turned more and more into a consumer/service oriented nation, its only a matter of time before there is a change of baton. Me thinks that that time is now.

Granted this American brouhaha would have (and is having) ripples in Asia but I foresee a situation whereby at the end of the day , after all said and done, a greater Chinese a la Asian economy would arise. The question is what would be the position of Africa in all of this.

One thing history has taught mankind is that there would be rise and fall of civilizations. We might just be witnessing one right now. America owes so much that the clock that keeps track of the debt ran out of digit space yesterday. they still trying to add more spaces to accomodate the growing debt. If U think that this is not a calamity, think again.
Romance / Re: Help! After Our Breakup He Is Now Telling Everyone He Disvirgined Mi.why? by Finally: 4:06pm On Oct 10, 2008
Just ignore him.

U made a mistake, big deal. Who doesn't? However, U would be a bigger fool if U dont learn from it. Next time be careful about the kind of company U keep. U can always tell if someone is a retard. Comparing U with his ex shoulda raise some red flags for U But U are young and U now no better, but now U know.

About peddling rumours about the size of his manliness, scratch that. That wont help U at all. It would only confirm his story and will not do ur reputation any good. Besides, who r u going to tell the story about his manliness size? Ur friends or his friends? Either way, U were still screwed (sorry).

Finally, going down to the morals of it, U really have no biziness having sex right now. U still have lot of living to do. Plenty of books to read, degrees to bag and also for the heck of it, male friends to hang out with. Do not commit urself to one person by having sex with him, have friends and learn more. Good luck.
