PoliticsRe: Why I Won't Congratulate Oshiomhole - Airhivbere by finallytalking: 10:02am On Jul 16, 2012
Gbawe: Rantings of a member of the 40 laptop crew. If you had any sense, you would realise that you distinctly sound bitter given how devastating Oshiomhole's victory was. That is all that matters regardless of your noise here..

The fact that Oshiomhole crushed the man from the barracks and put paid to Anenih's brag, and that of the usual shameless Nairalanders to boot, is enough for you and others to shut up and show some class.
Sir, permit me to observe on the contrary that you are indeed the classless individual, you have failed to articulate all the points of this argument.

speeder: shut up you all. He said d election was not free and fair, but now that he was declared winner, he has suddenly gone dumb. Abeg make una reason? Foolish oshiomole.
This is the most reasonable comment here today..we were all witness to Oshiomole's rantings like an illiterate market woman about Jega, INEC and plans to release a fake result, suddenly, because he has been declared winner it is no longer a flawed process. Let us learn to post without sentiments, I see absolutely nothing wrong with what the General said. Infact, Oshiomole should be magnanimous enough to issue an apology.

Ileke-IdI:
As much as I dislike inverted Robin Hoods; lazy hooligans who steal from poor women with barely nothing to feed her children, the man does not deserve hanging.

"It des not matter how much you stole"? There's a reason why politic separated itself from religion. In politic, each sin has its punishable degree. This punishment is not fair to the crime.

Anywaz, how more devious can you be stealing from "poor Yoruba" woman who possibly have many mouths to feed? And we know Yoruba women are like lionesses when it comes to their children lipsrsealed
It was just unfortunate that she had so little to give, I am sure he would have dispossessed her of much more if she had it.

emdidy: That judge should be sick in the skull. Infact, he/she has to have his/her re-examined! And i guess the Minister of Justice, the Attorney-General of the Federation, and the President have all heard of this arrant mis-judgement and haven't done anything about it. Gosh! we need a break in dis country!
Do you have an education?
CrimeRe: Man Sentenced To Death For Stealing N1,705 & N400 Milk by finallytalking: 2:43pm On Jun 22, 2012
uche13: Now this is getting annoying! angry.

I wonder why we cannot keep quiet about things we know little or nothing about or take out some time to research about it before commenting aimlessly with so much confidence.

Section 402 of the criminal code act applicable in every state in Nigeria states thus and is very clear.

1. “Any person who commits the offence of robbery shall upon conviction be sentenced to imprisonment for not less than 21 years.

2. If –

(a) any offender mentioned in subsection (1) of this section is armed with any fire arms or any offensive weapon or any obnoxious or chemical materials or is in company with any person so armed; or
(b) at or immediately before or immediately after the time of robbery the said offender wounds any person.

The offender shall upon conviction be sentenced to death”.
Please does it look like the judge has any discretion in a situation like this? Is it not elementary knowledge that the judiciary is not the body tasked with the responsibility of making the law but just implements it? So why insult the judge who has to follow the stipulated law or since when did judges start making laws. If you feel so strong about it, rally around your elected legislators to amend the law because that is their FUNCTION and stop acting like the bane of Nigeria’s problem is the judiciary.
Well done, a little reading would have saved us all the embarrassment of reading ignorant comments here.
I marvel at the level of illiteracy amongst supposed educated people who post in this forum.

TV/MoviesRe: Have You Seen The New Coca Cola Advert? It Insults Africans by finallytalking(op): 7:33pm On Jun 11, 2012
Copiousworld: Actually i don't see anything wrong here. Its only in Nigeria people read same sentence and interprets it differently. This advert is sure promoting the image of Africa. @OP go through the video again from the beginning with a mind of understanding. All wordings are actually promoting African culture & reputation. There are a billion reasons to believe in Africa. World shakes & stumbles (War crisis and related)= Africans are dancing (Happiness). Bank bail out= Africa still receive money overseas. Millions more African football players are ready to shine, world most admired man is African and so is the most beautiful woman. Come on dude, do you need to return back to school? World worries about their future better break down "UNCERTAIN FUTURE DUE TO GLOBAL MELT DOWN"= 1Billion Africans are sharing a coke better break down "1BILLION AFRICANS ARE HAPPY, MERRIMENT, CHEERFUL..BLA BLA BLA.. Drinking coke open happiness. This the message of the ad
perfect my friend, now interpret the bolded this way: Boko haram bombing churches, child soldiers fighting = Africans are dancing (Happiness); People are trying to rebuild their economies = Africa is happy to receive handouts; World most admired man is African = We are in ecstasy losing our best brains; while the rest of the world is happy to export Zuckerberg and other intellectuals Africa is happy exporting clowns to entertain them... pleaseeeeee!!!!
TV/MoviesRe: Have You Seen The New Coca Cola Advert? It Insults Africans by finallytalking(op): 5:20pm On Jun 11, 2012
omodapson: This would be my interpretation too. I see nothing offensive in it. Please follow the trend again. It simply implies that while the rest of the world looks at the future as gloom, here in Africa, we see brightness and the more reason to have fun with coca cola.
and when you look around you and think of what the future holds for you and your children, what do you see? boom or gloom?
TV/MoviesRe: Have You Seen The New Coca Cola Advert? It Insults Africans by finallytalking(op): 2:51pm On Jun 11, 2012

Don't you see anything wrong with the bolded text
TV/MoviesHave You Seen The New Coca Cola Advert? It Insults Africans by finallytalking(op): 6:00am On Jun 11, 2012
Has anyone seen the new coca cola advert?
I think coca cola should re-edit the text in their latest promotional advert. There is a very insensitive line there:
'WHILE THE REST OF THE WORLD WORRIES ABOUT THE FUTURE, ONE BILLION AFRICANS ARE SHARING COKE'.
Am i the only one who thinks this is a put down?

logicboy: Why are you employing Grammar Nazi tactics? Are you really focusing on a simple typographical error?

https://edge.ebaumsworld.com/mediaFiles/picture/98885/80646663.png

Why not focus on the point of my argument?
Hey bro, that is not a typo, you added an extra alphabet to the word 'rocket', check your keyboard, letters 'a' 'o' and 'c' are far apart. Like someone asked, i hope you are not a product of the western educational system you speak so highly of?

ifihearam: All the ladies and guys sayiny a "REAL MAN" would walk a way no matter the cussing and provocation. You are not serious anmd thesame time foolish.

So in a nutshell a real man is one who receives slaps and insults from babes and smiles off

May God never allow me be that kind of a real man

I am totally in suppport of the legendary slap he gave zainub in her entire lifew she will never repeat that rubbish again.

Some of you babes that just got to america are brainwashed that guys don't beat babes na lie they do always

nanidee: OMG... I want to believe people are taking the piss on here undecided. Are people really supporting the guy?...Small wonder some Africans choose to remain backward.

I really dont care what it was the lady said to him to provoke him, but the fact is that he is a totally violent man. I had to watch the video, and just seeing a man slap a woman like that really sent chills down my spine.

Whenever I am in Nigeria, I hear lots of stories about how some men treat their women, I even saw sometime ago on facebook, that a guy beat his girlfriend to death in the Lekki area of Lagos Nigeria. I marvel and wish these men try that in civilized countries. angry angry angry angry

I did not even notice any slap that she supposedly gave him. All I saw was a girl running her mouth, and a guy push her, and then slap her. The way he kept going on and on about how she should'nt try whatever it was she did, really showed that he is an aggressive man, the kind of guy that women should be wary of.

DAYUUUMMM!!! That guy is one hell of an angry bastard. He really has got serious issues. (maybe he's got a tiny little willie.......). He needs to go for anger management classes! Looser!! angry
Ohhhhh, so men don't batter their wives in the USA?..ohhh, sorry, they only murder them for the insurance money.

ifeci: pretend all you like but ur analogy was a total fallacy! subjective or unsubjective, football doesn't involve immorality like sex(in the open, for the whole world to see). you see! their the positives and negatives, which does the programme tend towards?
and i can see that you have impeccable moral standards..yet you feel so free hurling insults in a public forum
TV/MoviesRe: What's The Aim And Objective Of BBA Stargame ?? by finallytalking: 5:53pm On May 31, 2012

i will pretend like i didn't read this...i was only trying to educate us that entertainment is subjective
TV/MoviesRe: What's The Aim And Objective Of BBA Stargame ?? by finallytalking: 5:44pm On May 31, 2012
hello!!!!! What is the aim and objective of football?...wait, let me answer that, twenty two grown up jobless men kicking a round object all over a marked pitch and brutalizing themselves in the process..i guess that is very entertaining.

Oh!! so he had wives and children and they chose in their best opinion to abandon him, why then are you are blaming the NFF and the Govt. I pray you never abandon your parents.
SportsRe: Rashidi Yekini Is Dead? by finallytalking: 8:20am On May 05, 2012
please people don't go there..i don't know why people keep accusing the govt and sports authorities of abandoning past players..please, these guys didn't do what they did for this country for free..for goodness sakes they were paid for doing it and anytime the bonus was not enough, they held the nation to ransom..these guys, Rashidi Yekini included were professional footballers who earned a living by playing the game..he was well paid and shouldn't expect handouts from anybody at the end of his career..are we all not serving this country? do we expect to be fed free of charge when we retire?

obamamate: God is not a liar,
You can be romantic without sex.Infact romance without sex is more matured
It is really not easy to be chaste in a courtship, but it is possible.
You have to make rules.
Mine was never to stay indoors with my fiance alone with doors closed.
We always arranged our meetings outside, parks, eateries etc.
RememberMary/Joseph werec courting before Jesus was borne
That is how i courted and married in a God-centred relationship and now my wife says she does not like sex and we are locked in a sexless marriage..if i have to advice anyone..please forget all this rubbish and confirm sexual compatibility or else you might just find yourself in my situation (don't laugh at this please, mine is a true story)
