And we keep hearing and castigating the agitations in the Niger delta, with adequate development, there will not be any justification for these agitations. Sometimes I question the reasoning of some of our political leaders. |
Why would somebody be so vindictive and wicked to his own person. The honourable minister of transport, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi is doing all within his powers to truncate the establishment of the Nigerian Maritime University in Okerenkoko, Delta state. He has publicly stated that N13b was spent in procuring the land for the institution. This is not the truth. What he is failing to say is that the school already has a temporary takeoff campus in kurutie, with various buildings in varying stages of completion. This temporary site, the land and buildings and the land for the permanent site all make up this sum of N13b. What is he going to gain by punishing his own people. Please, let's not let this laudable project die. It will benefit the people of the Niger delta and this nation. Here is a sponsored advertorial showing some the buildings in the temporary site.

BUHARI’S BALLS OR LACK OF As much as General Buhari comes across as a respectful and arguably sincere political septuagenarian, there is still something disturbing about his desperation to get into Aso Rock. Looking at General Buhari’s antecedence while he was a onetime head of state, one can say of a certainty, definitely – NO. He can never be the solution to the insurgency issue in the country. This was a head of state who was more or less a figure head or perceived as weak and at best described as a puppet as all issues of governance then was carried out by General Tunde Idiagbon, his Chief of staff supreme Headquarters. FACT General Buhari remains the only Head of State who was overthrown but was not killed or exiled. He was sitting pretty at home in the country when the coup happened, he was not outside the country, he did not put up a fight, he simply sat put and did absolutely nothing, no resistance at all, most probably that was why he was not tried in any of those “kangaroo” courts then or jailed but given a gentleman’s pat on the back of “house arrest” In retrospect, let us look at what happened to other military head of states who were overthrown in coups like himself? 1, Aguiyi Ironsi – (1966) KILLED. 2, Yakubu Gowon – (1975) OUT OF THE COUNTRY WHEN HE WAS DEPOSED 3,Murtala Mohammed – (1976) KILLED. 4. Olusegun Obasanjo – HANDED OVER TO CIVILIAN GOVERNMENT 5. Mohammadu Buhari – (1985) TUNDE IDIAGBON WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY 6, Ibrahim Babaginda – FOILED EVERY COUP ATTEMPT TO OUST HIM FROM POWER. 7, Sani Abacha – FOILED EVERY COUP ATTEMPT TO OUST HIM FROM POWER. 8. Abdulsalami Abubakar - HANDED OVER TO CIVILIAN GOVERNMENT In comparison with his Chief of Staff Supreme Headquarters, General Idiagbon, who was not in the country when the coup happened and when he was told not to come back, he said he will and did – that is a man. General Buhari then was younger and as a military head of state, he could not hold his own, is it now in his twilight years (old age), under a democratic government that he can profess to have the balls to fight an insurgency in Nigeria? This is most laughable as this can be likened to the proverbial adage that say – “You had a strong man with the cutlass in his hands on the ground, you could not dispossess him of the cutlass, is it when he stands up you can take the cutlass from him”?. It is unfortunate that the electorate always tend to forget the past records but let me ask this primordial question, why is that regime always referred to as “The Buhari/Idiagbon” regime? Why don’t we refer to Babangida/ who regime? Or Abacha/ regime? The answer is very obvious; we all know who was in charge. General Buhari has never really governed this country Nigeria and so it beats my imagination that a man who could not stand up and be counted, can now come up with a nebulous claim that he would end insurgency in Nigeria if voted into power. I know the Nigerian electorate is not so gullible to believe the falsehood. |

Culled from Ahmed Abubakar: As much as we must highlight our achievements while canvassing for votes, please let us try to be as objective as possible. I have repeatedly heard and read Babatunde Raji Fashola the Governor of Lagos State, say that the FG has failed, but yesterday I saw somewhere that the APC led Lagos State government has developed an Independent Power Plant to provide power for parts of Lagos State. My argument is, If the FG has indeed failed, would it have been possible for The APC Lagos government to do this...it must be acknowledged that it is the POWER REFORMS of the same FG that has made it possible to decentralize Electricity power generation in this country. The teeming mass of Nigerians must be educated to realize that the primary job of the central government is to formulate policies that create the enabling environment for development. Please correct me if I have this argument all wrong. |
Buhari and APC lack integrity...he has just been rubbished on Channels TV...it is obvious that He does not have the required certificates. Mr Fasakin, APC Media & Publicity Chief found it difficult to convince the panel that he possesses such qualifications..#SMH |
@Adminisher, He should be outlining his methods and means not his integrity which will not stand very close scrutiny...you are even articulating the issues better than his team, they are at a loss, they know the battle will be difficult especially with the caliber of people around him. This story about fighting corruption is all hogwash |

@Babadee1, my grouse with GMB is the crude and selective nature he fought corruption in his previous attempt.. I really do not think that strategy will work in the 21st century...if you say he will strengthen institutions I will be swayed by that argument...every country that has successfully fought corruption did so by strengthening their anti crime institutions. please that is the way to go, but I doubt if he has the intelligence and will power to do that, not with the caliber of people he has been parading around with. |
@Babadee1, is that the answer you want to proffer? please let us know why you think he can fight corruption. |
Personally, I don't think he does...there will be no room for crating corrupt persons in the new world order. let me have your views on this please...

Aifey: Tht shows humility. Anywhre every one makes mistake. Top players do miss even penalty when its needed most. Roney, C.ronaldo, kaka, shevshenko, drogba. Where they crucified? Whites hates blacks everywhre in d world. Its only in nigeria they worship whites. Inferiority complex.in my honest opinion, It is the average black man's lack of self worth that makes him feel racially abused. If a white man calls you a monkey, smile and call him a pig if you feel the need to retort, they do look like pigs don't they? the same way we look like monkeys. |
big mo: Jonathan is å bundle of badluck, since he emerged as president it has been one disaster and another. Boko Haram, plane crashes, flooding, ghastly road accidents, kidnappings, ocean surge, mass failure in WAEC and JAMB. He has also brought bad luck to Nigerian sports. Under Jonathan, super eagles could not qualify for ordinary Nations cup, U-17 and U-21 all failed to qualify for the last world cup,U-23 team and Almighty Falcons of Africa could not qualify for Olympics, Nigeria failed to win å single medal @ the Olympics. His name is Goodluck but he is an harbinger of badluck. To everyone on this forum who openly defends Jonathan may your offsprings be daft, retarded, clueless and shoeless and may u experience the disaster many innocent families have been experiencing.Amen!slowpoke |
Mandelaguy: Don't mind the swallat! The have been so confused by their hate that they see nothing good in someone using his money to project the good side of GEJ. Now that power has improved and a lot of positives are coming up,do many of them are so scared GEJ might just be the best that has happened to us since independence.Swallat ..BdVus..na u be dis? |
bonna4u: True, there may be another side to this story but that can never justify the action of the brother inlaw. You don't just go about slapping people's wives. The lady in question should not get away with abusing someone else's child, no one has bothered to ask how often the child has been battered, she deserves to be defended too you know. |
Obiagu1: It's one of the things that make Yorubas dirty. In a toilet, what equipment was designed for washing anus?A bidet |
Truckpusher: ....ENCOURAGE YOURSELVES,BECOS YOU'LL BE LONELY, SMELLY AND UNKEMPT WHEN YOUR 78 AND ABOVE.I guess the fact that nobody has liked your post is proof enough. |
Castos: O boy e e e e!!!!!! See last position!!!!! GEJ!!!! Where are u!! Did u see that, u useless man!!!Haba, this too much. na GEJ go run for her? |
I remember starting a thread a while ago complaining about the insulting theme of a recent coca cola advert. I have just noticed that coca cola has back tracked and altered the campaign to say THERE ARE A BILLION REASONS TO BELIEVE IN AFRICA. Did we make a difference or what? |
this is all obama`s fault ..°°°wink..wink°° |
Freiburger: Point of correction, ACN functions differently in Edo compared to the names or places you are mentioning, the people got the message felt it, and couldn't do otherwise.really ![]() |
