WebmastersRe: Making payments online via PAYPAL by FincoApps(m): 8:05pm On Dec 05, 2016
fadkay:
I want to make a payment online using PAYPAL. Please, what dollar-to-naira exchange rate will be used? Is it the local market or black market rate?
I'm not really sure what you mean by Local Market but go to google and type "convert Naira to USD", the amount you see there is what it would likely be

ie around 320-350 naira per dollar

Anyone in the house currently focusing on Data Structures and Algorithms? Let's rub minds. I've noticed that when you talk about what you've learnt with other like-minded folks, it sticks better. You can PM me if interested. Thanks.
What do you mean Algorithms ?

What Algorithm in particular ?

i have been running ubuntu 14.04 as my only OS for 2years on my laptop, but i moved to 16.04 last week and its was giving me some problem expecially with hibernating, so i move to kali as the main only OS since i will be doing Ethical Hacking as a course in school, and its a practical course. I also some app development like web and andoid on my ubuntu 14.04. hope the kali can handle the app development too. I installed kali yesterday.
Exactly!! Same with me

Hibernate on Fedora is so bad.... To activate it in the first place was an issue, now after activating, waking up from hibermate freezes my PC for a long time.

Although it got a little better after upgrading

Hacking is a general term people who they feel are addicted to PC's use. "I am a hacker" when they cannot even scratch emails from Google grin

To be a very good hacker, you must be a good programmer as well. You have idea of Reverse engineering using tools like ollydbg and .net reflector?

Web App Hacking.....

Are you a Nigerian ? Cause I've never seen a Nigerian Reverse Engineer. Firmware hacking is what I really wanna go into, I wonder if you ever considered that
ProgrammingRe: Are There Pentesters In Nigeria? by FincoApps(m): 7:40pm On Dec 01, 2016
I'll prefer we focus more on hacking here. I feel pentesting is just half of it and no company deserves free pentesting.

So let the hackers come out

Please if you don't know much about something, I advice you keep it to yourself instead of shaming yourself on the internet... SQL takes Mysqli, PDO and others, they are just extensions of SQL...
Gosh!!! How I hate ignorance. Someone is telling you a product is totally different from another and instead of you to quietly say you made a mistake, you are trying to insult him, saying he should not shame himself.

SQL Server is a Microsoft Technology and is not the same with MySQL.

I'm sure you later researched that and saw they had similar queries so you came here to bend your argument.
And to correct you, they have similar queries but that doesn't mean their queries are the same.

So you go do your research

I have always wanted to ask this, hence I don't know where to start from but anyways let me ask it anyhow and see who's gonna contribute and pls I don't need children commenting on my thread. Very experienced fellows who can add sense to the IT industry, that's what matters now.

Are there Pen testers in Nigeria?

I've always been looking forward to having a whatsapp group chat where hackers (white hat) and pen testers would meet, share ideas like you know how hackforums.net and other security forums work. As we know the only way to protect your computer is to hack it. Only I laugh when I see some skids doing copy and paste work and some who don't even know anything, just trying to feel among would want to comment as well.

This has to stop. We need to start giving and sharing ideas to Nigerians as we are ranked number 16 most vulnerable country to cyber attacks. Guys I'd like us to come together and share ideas, what you know I know somethings, and I'd like to meet someone who knows as well. So pls if you are capable, let's see you.

I'll love to contact you. How can I ?

Not trying to sound negative, but the fact is you cannot take on Google, it's not just about how good the product is, a lot of other things are involved. If you think it's how good the product is, why has Google.com been the top for almost 10 years no fluctuation ?

I would looove to join this team, except that I won't like to hear the phrase "take on Google"

Most importers here usually recommend the "Gtbank naira mastercard". But recently they're complaining about $100 per month transaction limit. I'll still go for it.
All these limits ehn.... yet I dey get steady debit alert na wa

Well I'm starting to think they only apply to Nigerian companies or so or maybe my card escaped

What a relief.!

Some people were saying almost all Nigerian issued cards are being rejected, it scares me a lot.

Alot of things are ridiculous, country's foreign reserves and how it affects the exchange rate is at best a modern day sorcery. What if a country doesn't export much or doesn't have expensive commodity to export?

And what is the purpose of IMF hoodwinking countries with weaker currencies to continue devaluing knowing fully well not all governments or companies increase workers salaries in such situations.

Which of the Gtbank's credit card do you use? On their website they have options like "Naira mastercard", "dollar credit card", "Visa classic credit card", "standard credit mastercard" e.t.c. Which one will I request for?
I dunno the card o. GTB Grammar is too much. It's a Master card though

I intended to buy a domain & hosting package very soon.

Which bank can I go to? What can I ask for?

The only thing in my mind right now is to walk into any of the banks, open my computer and show them a saved page from hostgator, namecheap, or godaddy's billing page, and ask if they provide this kind of online transaction service.

Which card can I go for please.?
I have never experienced any restriction for payments....

I'm currently very angry now because I thought the recent restriction would affect me, so YESTERDAY, I went to go tamper with a ridiculously priced product online and I got an equally ridiculous debit alert mtcheeeew.

I use Access and GT Bank and I can definitely still pay for things online

Hey man, ah...
I intend to start learning programming, web dev
actually, so i want to buy a laptop with these
specs 2gb ram, 500gb storage, Intel pentium,
HP at 35k (its my friend's, so I've used it
before and its okay and neat. and is it too
expensive at 35k?).
Please what Do you advise?
I buy it or save up for a better one? (if this,
what specs do you recommend?)
And I intend to learn with this one, and
probably do some small small personal
projects with it (so I should get another one
when I start doing some hardcore stuffs that is
if this won't match what you recommend/what
I intend doing). I would appreciate your reply
very soon, before another interested buyer
beats me to it.. Thanks man
I think that config is okay. Although I won't be able to use it but I once used that kinda laptop

I don't have any problem with the design of this wonderful site.

But all im asking for is an "dislike" button.

Sometimes i see a silly comment and then i decided to quote and insult the person and get banned.

But with the "dislike" button i could easily click it and move on.

Seun please.

Thanks.
So you are one of those that insults people just because you don't like their comment.

Next time, click the report link. The person you insulted probably clicked the report link and got you banned. So try to use that next time

What size of inverter are you using? What the charging source/method?
It's 1.5Kva. If a 50 inch TV is on, it can last for about 5-6 hours I think. I hardly ever watch TV so it can go about 16 hours just with my laptop...Then there's gen.... I'm never out of electricity....

NEPA has left the option for me

I remember when I did something of this sort for a guy on NL here. The idiot was proving to be very smart. I gave him the job, he immediately changed the cpanel password. Unknown to him, my personal coded backdoor was in the server. I just downloaded and deleted the files from my backdoor, included a new index.php for him which was blank. The owner of the website started threatening him... grin no be human being call am tell am make em pay my cash to my account. And he gave me the new pass for the ftp. grin

The truth is you can NEVER trust anyone with money. No one likes to loose money even if it's for a business. Therefore definitely no one likes to pay back no matter how big they are. People have different levels of self control, that's why some can still pay back.

OP, I don't see any reason why they would not want to see it in a sub domain first (IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE). If I were you, I would tell them that's the company's policy and if he doesn't still agree, then you don't go ahead with the business. You can't breach your company's policy.... simple

At the worst, I support JeffreyJamez's suggestion.
