North cannot remove tinubu with northern candidate

Even atiku cannot clear the north.

This is a fact.

If the north support Obi . Obi can get half votes from the north and clear key states in the south.

People don't even care and talk about it. People just move like nothing happened for an ex president for that matter. I begin to ask people if they are aware of buhari death imagine that kind thing and they are aware.

To me this weekly sub doesn't really do much. Maybe only for people that travels alot. Because as a family person with kids you still end up subscribing it every week. Only advantage you might skip some week. That would be if the weekly is not higher than the monthly.

Daily would have also be introduced for people who only stay house weekend.

European want to start manufacturing and cheap labor. Spain starts it. It look like industry is going back to Europe.

The dependence and importing from China is about to go down. China will bleed in 2026.

America and Europe are the major market for it's higher end product. While South America, some part in Asia and Africa are where they send the cheapest product to which cannot really sustain the Chinese economy.

Europe need cheaper labor work force at this time. Things do change in every decades.

I lived in the UK, my income (salary) tax plus Council tax was over 40% of my salary every month.

So, if I went to a hospital that was free in the UK, it meant the government was subsidising the hospital?. Absolutely not. It simply meant I had paid for the 'free' hospital through the very high tax I was paying.

You say people pay taxes in Nigeria, hence the government should provide subsidised services. Which tax really.

My tax in Nigeria is ...erm, less than 2% of my income (tax people please no come harass me o - you people don't demand for tax ). Yet, you want the government to wave a magic wand and provide Nigerian citizens with a fabulous subsidised lifestyle.

Some of the richest countries in the world have some of the highest income taxes in the world.

Personal income tax in Japan, Finland, Austria etc are around 50%. In Sweden, it is 52%. In Ivory Coast, the most organised country in West Africa, personal income tax is over 60%, the highest in the world. So you can see there is some correlation between high government tax revenue and development. Will Nigerians agree to pay 40% of their total monthly income in tax?

And remember many of those developed countries have been collecting taxes from their citizens for over 200 years which they have used to build their country.

Yet, in 2025, the vast majority of Nigerians still pay zero tax, yet you want to compare Nigeria to those countries.

As for electricity, I get up to 22 hours a day consistently, and I am not even in Zone A, or whatever they call it. While it is safe to say my experience is not replicated across the country, there clearly appears to be manifest improvement in many areas, and I hope with time, every part of the country will share in that experience.

how much is minimum wage as relative to those countries mentioned? Nigerian has the lowest minimum wage in the world and there is a reason for that because of subsidy and low cost of doing business things.

If we look at the negative impact on subsidy removal compared that to zero benefits any right thinking leader would have retraced it steps.

They told us this government will not borrow after removing it. But today they are still borrowing.

School fees increased and electricity. Still nothing to show rather than more suffering for Nigerians.

Feeds is now above the roof, transportation is higher than salaries. Healthcare is terrible for poor Nigerians. Inflation and businesses folding up.

So tell me what Nigerians are benefiting from this government with increase in tax every now and then. Internet subscription has tripled in the last few years

Judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangir posted on the office’s official Mizan news agency website that those killed on Monday included staff, soldiers, prisoners and members of visiting families. It was not possible to independently verify the claim.

The June 23 attack, the day before the ceasefire between Israel and Iran took hold, hit several prison buildings and prompted concerns from rights groups about the safety of the inmates.

It remains unclear why Israel targeted the prison, but it came on a day when the Defense Ministry said it was attacking “regime targets and government repression bodies in the heart of Tehran.”

The news of the prison attack was quickly overshadowed by an Iranian attack on a U.S. base in Qatar later that same day, which caused no casualties, and the announcement of the ceasefire.

Jahangir did not break down the casualty figures but said the attack had hit the prison’s infirmary, engineering building, judicial affairs and visitation hall, where visiting family members were killed and injured.


On the day of the attack, New York-based Center for Human Rights in Iran criticized Israel for striking the prison, seen as a symbol of the Iranian regime’s repression of any opposition, saying it violated the principle of distinction between civilian and military targets.

At the same time, the group said Iran was legally obligated to protect the prisoners held in Evin, and slammed authorities in Tehran for their “failure to evacuate, provide medical assistance or inform families” following the attack.


Jahangir said some of those injured were treated on site, while others were sent to hospitals.

Iran had not previously announced any death figures, though on Saturday confirmed that top prosecutor Ali Ghanaatkar — whose prosecution of dissidents, including Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi, led to widespread criticism by human rights groups — had been killed in the attack.

He was one of about 60 people for whom a massive public funeral procession was held on Saturday in Tehran, and he was to be buried at a shrine in Qom on Sunday.
