4) Focusing only on their erection

There has been drama on Twitter after Rogers Yakubu, a twitter user twitted a tale or would i say story of how a 7-month-old baby mistakenly crawled to his grandfather’s shrine and broke one hand of his god thereby making his grandfather to give his life to Christ since his idol god couldn’t save himself from the little baby then it’s not worth worshipping.

“My grandpa has been an idol worshipper for 47 years until he gave his life to Christ last year. Reason being his grandchild, 7months old, mistakenly crawls to his shrine and broke one hand of the god. My grandpa said a god that can’t even save himself is not worth worshipping.”

There has been mixed reactions from people ever since the twit surfaced, with some attacking Christians while some rejoiced and congratulated the old grandpa .

Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has threatened to sack any Commissioner, Special Adviser or civil servant involved in any act of fraud or corruption in Anambra from the work force.

Equally, any government official found to be involved in any shady deal aimed at corrupt enrichment or diversion of public funds will be shown the way out of the Anambra State Government.

These stern warnings were today handed down to Commissioners and other top government officials by the state Governor Chief Willie Obiano at a meeting in Awka, the state capital.

The Governor warned that with his re- election for a second term governance would not be as usual.

He said that there must be a sense of commitment and seriousness in all public servants in the state who want to be part of the new revolution that will be introduced in the state to serve the people of the state better.

The Governor disclosed that there will be checks and balance in every aspect of government business now and that all loopholes must BE completely plugged to checkmate the activities of those who have in the past been sabotaging the efforts of the government to give qualitative service to the people of Anambra State.

He promised that during his second term in office things must change and be done within the ambit of the rules and regulations guiding government business and the civil service.

Governor Obiano advised anyone who feels that he or she cannot cope with the new order to be introduced to kindly take a bow or be forced out of service.

To demonstrate his determination to instill a new order into the public service the Governor personally scrutinised and vetted every proposal brought forward for approval by the state tenders board.

In his words “there is no room for any corrupt individual in my government; probity and accountability must be ensured hence forth in every government transaction”

As it stands now that the distraction of elections are over, the Governor is very prepared to give Ndi Anambra the best system of governance and abundant provision of Democratic dividends in all the nooks and crannies of the state durinv his second term .

Governor Obiano gave assurance that he will not let Anambra state electorates down having reposed confidence in him by voting massively for him in the just concluded governorship election.

He expressed joy and happiness over the unflinching support given to him during his first tenure by members of the state executive council . The Governor however promised that at the end of his second tenure Anambra state would have become another Dubai in Nigeria and Africa.

The remains of the late Elvis Nejimagam, a law student of the University of Uyo, who was shot dead during the election of National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS will be buried next Thursday.

Aged 23, Elvis will be committed to mother earth at his hometown, Egbung Ekajuk in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State.

He left Uyo hale and hearty among Akwa Ibom State delegation for NANS Zone B election at Federal University, Otueke, in Bayelsa, where he was killed midway to the election at the weekend.

The Elvis Nejimagam is survived by parents.

Police in Bayelsa State have confirmed the arrest of eight students, including the NANS President in Bayelsa State, Perewari Benjamin, the President, Students Union Government of the University of Uyo, Duff Gabriel Enyeneokpon, Etefia Otobong Harrison and Akwaowo Uwakmfon both of the University of Uyo, with seven other suspects from Niger Delta University, namely Asari Enagob, Suoguai Bina, Ibe Ogbonna, Igbanibo Tari, Ekperi Kenneth, Kemefie Ebimene of Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State and Chukwuma Lawrence from Imo State Polytechnic.

Two locally made single barrel pistol, two live ammunition, five.9mm live ammunition and two charms were said to be recovered from the suspects.

A man, Nnaemeka Onyeka Obiaraeri has come hard on Nigerians on social media discussing about the viral photo of Agbada, Ebuka wore to Banky W’s traditional wedding over the weekend.

He advises Nigerians on social media to do something meaningful with their time rather than gossiping about other people.

“I have followed with a mixture of amusement and bewilderment the ongoing debate in the social media on the true worth of Ebuka Uchendu’s N250,000 agbada by one Monye.

“Amusment because Nigerians “sabi” break dia heads and burn their data over nothing. Bewilderment on why people cannot mind their own businesses and aspire to be the best in their chosen fields of endeavour.

MY TAKE.

“To be honest, that agbada was tastefully done. The first thing that caught my attention was the beauty of the design and its fittings on the person that adorned it. Immediately, I saw it, the first thing I did was to save it and forward it via whats app to my “Capenter” based in Owerri (Ezenta).

“Sincerely, I love excellence. I love excellent people and crafts men. The Monye guy , who did that Uchendu agbada is an excellent designer. He is an epitome of what I have always preached and demanded of our youths……always aspire to be excellent and the best in whatever you do.

“There is also what we call packaging. It is not in doubt that we have over 1001 designers in Aba or Onitsha , who can do such an excellent Agbada or even better. It is also not in doubt that the Monye guy may have done the Agbada and dressed Ebuka Uchendu for free (so that he can help him to do free advert) and then put the price tag of N250,000 on it to use it to lure other very wealthy Nigerians, who might like it to patronize him and pay that price tag or more. See guys, there are folks , who can cough out N1million for the same agbada that some people are screaming is too expensive at N250k.



“When you are excellent at what you do, people will pay top premium price to buy what you sell. Have you asked yourself why a sane man will cough out $450million/N162.9billion to buy an art work because it was done by Da Vinci. But will not agree to pay $50/N18,1000 for perhaps a better art work done under obelende bridge. There is what is called credibility, integrity, excellence and brand worth.
