Senator Dino Melaye on Monday 10th of July 2017 served Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) restraining Order to stop it from proceeding with his recall.

INEC insisted on Friday last week that it would go ahead with the recall process of the embattled Senator, as they have not been served any court rulling or process.

The recall which is expected to start today, Monday July 10.

Recall that Thursday same last week, Federal High Court Abuja presided over by Justice John Tsoho, rejected Melaye’s ex-parte motion for a temporary injunction to restrain INEC from proceeding with the recall process.

A suspected armed robber was caught at Eyita Palace in Ikorodu Lagos state.

The suspect was caught with some weapons and stolen properties by Eyita Boyz.

He was later handed over to the Police for further investigation but before then, the mob had given a thorough beating and also stripped him unclad leaving him in the pool of his blood.

The man in above picture who said his name is Udeh Chi, was caught stealing an android phone in the university of Calabar (Pav1 to be precise) in the early hours of today being the 10th of July, 2017.

He was loitering in the class while students were reading and some were asleep, not knowing that he was observed by a student who was studying.

He picked the phone and exited the class when he was chased and alarm was raised. He ran and threw the phone away but was later apprehended by angry malabites (students).

He later gave an uncorroborated statement that he finished from Nursing department, University of Calabar. Angry students gave him beatings before the intervention of Unical security where he made statement and was later taken to the security headquarters in Unical for proper measures and sanction to be taken.

Shawn Corey Carter, popularly known as JAY-Z has confessed cheating on his wife Beyoncé in his latest Studio album 4:44.

It’s been over a year since Beyoncé released her explosive album Lemonade and rocked the world with details about Jay-Z’s infidelity.

“Looking at my watch, he shoulda been home,” Beyoncé emotionally sings on “Sorry”: “Today I regret the night I put that ring on.”

Well, with the release of his 13th studio album 4:44, Jay-Z has finally addressed his infidelity and apologized to Beyoncé for cheating.

On the first track “Kill Jay-Z,” he addresses the infamous May 2014 elevator fight with Solange Knowles: “You egged Solange on, knowin’ all along all you had to say you was wrong.”

Beyoncé also referenced the incident in “Flawless (Remix),” singing, “Of course sometimes shit go down, when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator.”

Jay-Z then confesses to cheating on Beyoncé. “You almost went Eric Benét, let the baddest girl in the world get away,” he sings about himself, referencing Eric Benét’s infidelity (he was previously married to Halle Berry).

On the title track “4:44,” Jay sings, “And if my children knew.. I don’t even know what I would do..If they ain’t look at me the same..I would probably die with all the shame.”

“‘You did what with who?’ What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate? ‘You risked that for Blue?'” he sings, seemingly referring to a conversation with Beyoncé.

He continues: “I never wanted another woman to know..Something about me that you didn’t know.”

Jay-Z also sings about the way his children have affected his marriage and maturation: “I apologize, often womanize.. Took for my child to be born ..See through a woman’s eyes..Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles..Took me too long for this song.. I don’t deserve you.”

Then, on the track “Family Feud,” Jay-Z addresses Becky, directly referencing Beyoncé’s song “Sorry”: “I’ll Bleep up a good thing if you let me..Let me alone, Becky!..A man who don’t take care of his family can’t be rich.”

Interestingly, Beyoncé is listed as a cowriter of the track, suggesting that the two have indeed worked things out.

This is to notify the general public that the institution called Ladoke Akintola University of Technology located at Ogbomoso, Oyo state has been sold to the federal government of Nigeria due to lack of funds by Oyo and Osun state government.

The institution which comprises of six faculty was established in the year 1990 and then was known as state university of Technology and later change to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).

According to Oyerinde Bode who shared the news on his social media handle shaid “A meeting was held in Abuja yesterday at exactly 12:00 pm by the two state and the Federal government that the university (LAUTECH) has been sold and now will be run by the Federal government.”

“The fee was was not made known to the public but the two state will still have shares.According to report,the new name will be announce very soon as University of Technology, Ogbomoso (UNITECH)”

LAUTECH is jointly owned by Oyo and Osun States.

On Monday June 19, 2017, the Alumni body in collaboration with all the staff unions on campus visited the great human right lawyer, Chief Femi Falana SAN at his office in ikeja to seek legal action over the highhandedness and most importantly abuse of LAUTECH students’ right to education by the two owner governments.

The visit was led by the Alumni President, Mr. Babajide Bewaji, and in company of the Secretary, Mr. Oloso Kamal, SSANU Secretary, Mr. Hamamatsu Fajoye and the Nasu Chairman, Mr. Tunwagun.

After briefing the legal luminary on the current situation in LAUTECH, the great lawyer did not only show interest to take up the case but was highly optimistic that the case would be expeditiously instituted and that judgement will go the students and staff way.

Five Suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers blew themselves up on Tuesday Night at Amamanti village about 4 kilometres outside Maiduguri, the State capital.

According to Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) sources, the bombers were four women and a man, they detonated bombs tied on their bodies neer military trenches.

“We have gone to the scene of the failed mission of the terrorists early this morning. Only the bombers are dead; there were no civilian casualties. The bombers included four females and a male,” the source told our correspondent.

“We saw their bodies scathed in all places. They almost crossed the trenches before their bombs exploded. It was awful.”

This attempt came just two days after their recent attack at University of Maiduguri where about 16 people lost their lives.

Right now in Makurdi, Students of Benue State University (BSU) are protesting, over the prolonged closure of the school due to the strike by the ASUU chapter of the institution.



Recall that the lecturers in the state had embarked on indefinite strike over the non-payment of earned allowances, absence of a health insurance scheme, pension plan, appointment of principal officers in the university by the government and delay in the payment of staff salaries, payment of death benefits to its members, among other things.

Two months ago, Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, appealed to the Benue State University (BSU) Lectures to call of strike so that they can negotiate.
