Na wooing be this? grin grin

It will really be interesting to have a role reversal and see women woo men.

"your chest is hard like my gas cooker" grin grin
When the mythical siren sings
You will walk the so-called plank
When love flies in on cupid's wings
I ain't shooting blanks.

Being Real, Not Being Hypocritical.

That's just me being real...
You get me?
Not trying to Lord it
I expressing what I feel.
Days pass, and I sight. ..
Every. Bless-ed. Day...
A man on clutches,
A woman selling wares,
Howling his plight~
Displaying silverware.
How long will I give fish?
Without helping one to fish?
That's not enough, I think
I'm still selfish.
There's a man, a young man...
He drags his broken temple
Everyday, he prays:
Please. .. Help... Me...
God... Bless... You...

He is crippled by Polio...
...and I feel pierced. ..
I should know
I feel his plight.
It's beyond a mere pitiful sight.
I will do something.
Anything...

'Cause I cannot continue to feel...
...without me being real.

See as she twirls this way and that
Thanks to her Maker-her form is intact
Season the ocean-let it simmer slow
Settings at low heat bubble from below
What shall our song be, Enchanter?
Choice steppings are mellow and nice
Flows to the beat in tandem and spice

So, it's 70 years since Japan surrendered to US aboard the USS Missouri, signaling the end of a war that hung to it's dreaded name fifty to seventy million casualties. How much it feels like yesterday, though! smiley

I'm going to write a short fictitious memoir of a World War II survivor who also incidentally lives to this day, too, and it's going to be in the post below this.

Who else wants to do this? We could compare and contrast... cheesy

dmandy:
My dear, the dead are condemned forever and cannot praise God.. they curse Him in gnashing of teeth. The 'saints are still alive' for God is not God of the dead but of the living. Does that help?
Not really.

How can you tie in those scriptures?

Regards.
Christianity Etc › Re: What Does It Mean That The Dead Know Nothing (Ecclesiastes 9:5)? by firestar(f): 4:11pm On Aug 21, 2015
Dmandy

I will love to hear your thoughts on these Scriptures as well. Will really appreciate your open-mindedness.

Ps 88:10

Will you perform wonders for the dead? Can those powerless in death rise up to praise you? (Selah)

Ps 115:17

The dead do not praise Jah; Nor do any who go down into the silence of death.

Ps 146:4

His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish.

Isa 38:18

For the Grave cannot glorify you, Death cannot praise you. Those who go down into the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

Joh 11:11

After he said these things, he added: “Laza·rus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him.”

Regards.

dmandy:
Luke 13:28

"There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.''

seems to me like people who know nothing will weep for what they don't know and then see others while not knowing anything.

Think!!! Be open please.... Can you read Ecc. 9:2 and conclude that both the belever and non-believer as you guys put it have the same fate after herehuh I guess not or?
Christianity Etc › Re: What Does It Mean That The Dead Know Nothing (Ecclesiastes 9:5)? by firestar(f): 10:38pm On Aug 20, 2015
American Standard Version

Ec 9:5

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Hm. Pretty self-explanatory.
