I had my interview today Slept in one horrible Obalende Hotel...I had to buy raid to chase off mosquitoes. I woke around 4:30 to set my day straight before the Lord( please this is EXTREMELY important) Fast forward to d embassy episode
I was on the lookout for the much-discussed Oga Paulinus ( The man no fit disappoint) but as usual my God didn't allow him to have any issues with me. He threatened many people, even the older ones but kept using 'sir' for me as if I was a knight.
I didn't buy WAEC card but didn't disclose it. Even when a guy told me to ask Paulinus...I didn't. I pretended like I had. The VO is a black young guy...looks like a Yoruba guy but that guy dey rap German pass schweinsteinger ( heard when he was holding me to talk with a blonde German lady) VO: Good morning Me: good morning sir VO: what type of visa pls? Me: Student VO: what school? VO: pass your document VO: are you married? Where is your marriage cert Me: passed, after looking for it endlessly, the man kept typing VO: what's the name of your course? VO: why Germany? Why didn't you go to any English speaking countries since your Program is taught in English VO: what do you know about Germany? VO: what do you know about Hessen and Darmstadt VO: when are you resuming? VO: why do you want to study this course? VO: what's your plan after study? He repeated many questions....aahhh this people too like to dey rewind VO: what did u study in your undergrad? VO: what school VO: when did you graduate? VO: what have you been doing since then VO: you have any child? How old? VO: why didn't you bring her birth cert.?? VO: bring your marriage cert? We went to make 2 photocopies for me VO: what's your project thesis topic? Can u spell out the technical words please? VO: I can see you applied for US visa VO: what type of visa VO: student? So Germany is your second choice? Afte everything ..... VO: You have been very impressive in this interview. I have been asking you questions since, do you have any for me? Me: I didnt come with waec card, am I in any trouble here? Vo: no, we usually require that for undergrad study, however, if we need any doc for you to submit, we'd Contact you. Me: when am I getting my visa? VO: smiles... You will get a mail from us as soon as d alien office gets back to us. Bust u should get a reply latest early August. He looked at my admission letter a d reconfirmed that it was good that I applied early. He collected all the original Docs and return my passport |

cruchenutii: Yea, My course in UK for Bachelors Degree was "Information Technology & Business Information Systems" which is almost like Computer Science.
I applied for Master in Computer Science for Digital Media & Masters of Science in Informatics.
From University in Bauhaus-Weimar, Germany & Technical University of Munich.
Yes, my Motivation Letter was written properly. They actually gave me a Reason for Refusal which was my Transcript. That I did not meet the Academic Requirement. I assume they are talking about my ECTS credits.
I was 4 years working experience in I.T field/programming from since 2014 till date. You may want to consider university of applied science. Was on your shoes until I became more realistic |

Hello Lagos NIV and AbujaNIV Is it possible to be issued a 214(b) letter and still could have been banned? How can one know one's true status at the embassy instead of having strings of denias without knowing why. Is it allowed to seek for such information? Thank you. |

You did well. I think the issue could be with the SOA. Did the funds on the account suddenly lump up to the required amount within a short time? If no, then reapply. Like I always say, these things are highly subjective and you could be successful in your next try.
If the money "suddenly" got to that amount, it's a crimson flag. You would need a more "natural looking" SOA then.
Also, I want to believe you have some savings. You could mention your dad as the primary sponsor, to be supported with your savings. Or you could simply move the money to your own account and still include him as Co-sponsor. By 20 many serious Americans are on their own, so sometimes they don't understand how one that's ambitious enough to consider schooling abroad can be over 30 and still be getting support from mom and dad. But I understand us. In this case though, they have the yam and the knife so take a hard, objective look at the soa yourself, do the needful and try again. Thank you so much for this response. There is no sudden lumpsum in there. I ll knock again for fall. I ll start early prep. Thank u bro. Can I PM you pls? |

Seriousbuyer: Hello guys, so I had my interview earlier today(7:15) in Lagos and everything went well until it go to a point when the vo asked about my sevis fee receipt and I handed it over he took time checking he later had to leave his sir for sometime...on getting back he gave me a white paper an ticked that I had to provide additional doc because the sevis ID on my I-20 didn't tally with the one I had on my sevis payment receipt...he said I should contact the school which I did already and I got that fixed and I was told it was because I changed my course that's why we had that discrepancy...now I have mailed the new sevis ID and receipt to the email the vo asked me to mail it to...
Now my questions; does that mean I have gotten the visa because the vo didn't tick administrative process...am uploading a copy of the letter I got please I need you people's opinion Congrats. You have ur visa |

biikeys: Since you probably got 214(b) rejection reason, you were not banned. He might have doubted it as you said, or just saw something he didn't like; but usually they place people on AP for things like that while they verify. Thank you soooo much. I was shivering. Can I pm u? |

My fear is that he doubted its auhenticity by his reaction. And if that was wat he thought, it would not be nice coz that would not be fair. He should av subject it to further verifications. Can I be banned jst because he doubted? I |
