I'm seeing all these tests and I'm like Wtf

In obodo Oyinbo they have tests according to d gestational age.

And some of these tests cannot even be done here in naija.
There's urinalysis test strip, dey dip in urine usually just Sorts alot. And every clinic visit they do urinalysis at least for Dr E. Which is part of ur bill tho.
Ogtt is extreme Abeg lol. Glucose in urine which wld be seen in urinalysis. Or fbs ( which can be done first thing in morning.

My point is there are basic tests for pregnant women.
Which is hepatitis HIV syphilis (stds generally) genotype, blood group, PCV. Nd may be TORCHES
These are basic tests. ( I hope I'm not missing anyone out)

Importantly I doubt a teaching Hospital will wanna carry out that list of tests. What's the indication for the tests?
And if u say d Hospital requested, I'm sure they'll wanna see a letter.

When I travelled I did just the above and didn't do any extra test except Dr's E compulsory tests she does at 36 weeks.


BUT like nairaland culture alot is better than less.

Hello firsttymum, pls I need your help. I registered for antenatal in a teaching hospital here and so far the only tests I have done are HIV, blood group and genotype. I am 30 weeks and will be traveling in the next two weeks, the Dr I will be using in Maryland is ready to accept my naija tests. Please are there other necessary tests that are required in the US so that I can do them here to cut cost. I asked my Dr here he said those that I have done are the important ones. Please help me.

Good to hear from you too. Just got back from the US and discovered that Brown and associate sent an outstanding bill of $135 to my permanent address since last year. Unfortunately my people didn't open it trying to form respect for my privacy,if na other matter dem no dey respect my privacy. This is telling those who are renting accommodation in US especially Oakbend people to leave a forwarding address at the local post office before leaving rented apartments. Some medical billing system na alakoba.

like I said last year... These people are the most disorganized people when it comes to billing. They take almost two weeks or more before they send ur bill and then still send an outstanding? It's crazy...

Then u send ur baby's documents for visa that one max is 4 days.

I am travelling next sunday , and i wanted to know if i can go buy in advance before my travel date. So i dont want to be stranded and have to travel with plenty naira. So i was thinking i should just go over this weekend to get in advance, but i am not sure if i need to have my boarding pass as a requirement, and i dont want to be left hanging and have to travel with nothing also. U can't buy before ur traveling date. Inshort us need ur boarding pass before u can buy. Then u go early do u can be among like the first one or second to buy before they tell you it's finished.

Once you pay the load of money deyll give you the invitation and even write to b the embassy to ensure ur visa is approved.
