TOKNOW: Good day wonderful people, pls for clarification purpose. I have gone through the Nigeriahouse website for procedures for processing Nigeria passport/Visa for baby, here are my questions and I would appreciate your answers:
1. Do I apply separately for the passport and the Visa, or do both come at once? 2. The passport required to be submitted for processing the visa, is it the child's US passport or the passport of the parents? 3. If its that of the parents, is it the original copies or the photocopies? 4. The flight itinerary required, is it that of the parents or the child's?
Thank you for anticipated responses. 1. U need the passport to apply for visa. Therefore u have to do the passport first. 2. The child's 3. The passport itself wld b submitted 4. The parents Modified By passport I assume u are talking about American passport. But if it's Nigerian passport u don't need a visa if d child or children have a naija passport |

Lajoie33: Firstymum and all medical people, abeg help me explain this: They've done xrays, ultrasound, CT, MRI, extensive lab work and biopsy. They still dont have a clue about what is wrong... is this normal? To be fair, full biopsy result isn't out, but prelim study revealed nothing. They now want to xray me n DH... we can only pray d biopsy will help this time. What I was suspecting if it were it the CT or MRI wld have detected it. I have questions... In naija we do non invasive then invasive... The non invasive are d scans... But of the CT or MRI didn't show anything why did dey waste ur money to do the other ones... Why not just opt for a biopsy which is cheaper? In naija we do just 1 non invasive ( for extent of the dx) and a biopsy (to confirm diagnosis.). Sometimes only biopsy sef. I schooled in d north how many of them can afford a CT scan sef. Anyway me I don't how Americans do theirs o. I hope it's not mumps.. Reminds me of a case of mumps that dey did all the tests up and down for. Mainwhile assaying for a immunoglobulin wld have given them a clue. If it's mumps dey might not really find anything cos it's viral. And kinda self limiting. Plus considering its a boy. Then again I can't say because I've not seen him, and then he's in better hands I think... Now xray for u? Wait are u not pregnant? Are u supposed to b exposed to radiation? Anyway what do I know. |

In terms of after effects, I didn't have any tho' some pple complain of mild back ache afterwards. It also depends on the expertise of the anaesthesiologist. Me too I didn't have any. Aswear epidural is bae. God bless the inventor |

Favouredmom: @ AlphaHandMaiden and feddy27, thanks for explaining epidural. I've been considering it but someone discouraged me saying you won't know when to push which can cause tears because you might not feel pains and it's only for the weak women. She's not a health professional, just a mother of two. She also said FTMs shouldn't use it, that's why I was a bit confused as to its advantages but now that you explained, I'm beginning to change my mind. It's an option my doctor has given me. The back ache resulting from side effects, how severe can it be? by God's grace I didn't have backache. It's not like everyone must have backache or headache |

XX01: In my first pregnancy, i only did the ones i highlighted above. So i sent same to my obodo oyibo doctor and they asked for OGTT. I asked my Naija doctor and he said we women that go to US always ask for funny tests that are not necessary but he scheduled it for me this week. Can u imagine.... I love my Dr E...lol Thankful11011: Please has anyone used Turkish airline to Houston? And what was the experience, it looks like it's the cheapest at 455k, am just a little bit skeptical, Thanks some one did not long ago and enjoyed it.... phummy1821: Thanks firsttymum. uw oluphilip2008: I finally got a quote of $86.40 for my baby's ticket with Lufthansa airlines as against the initial crazy quote of $356 I got earlier even after calling them on 3 different occasions and speaking with their supervisor, trying to get an explanation for the high quote. All I did was to monitor their website for a drop in fares on my travel date. Their one way ticket to Naija dropped from $3690 to $900 for my date, I quickly called them to have mine baby added. For mamas that are flying Lufthansa or intending to, you can monitor fares yourself before adding your infant ticket. R u trying to tell me I wld have also saved 300 dols.... I'm literally crying... Risky but worth it. Ur persistency and faith has given us another way out of expensive baby ticket. Nice and thanks alot superdoll: *modified Pls mothers that travelled with der kids kindly assist. We will be travelling to Houston/dallas (still deciding) wt 2 of our kids (4 and 2 yrs old) for my delivery. I wuld want to engage dem academically sumhow as dey would be out of sch for quite a long time especially the 4 yr old. Pls do you advise daycare or nanny. Also wats the cost implications. Thank you . It's Btw 1200 to 1800 per month For day care. For nanny it dependS on where u'll b staying. All these Houston apartments have nanny arrangements which is cheaper than most nanny charges. I haven't travelled with my kids... This one ur question is specifically for them |
