giselle237:Spot on!!! |
Chpelu:Thanks for throwing more light to this, the only thing I can see again according to the letter is maybe the case worker did not see clearity in your husband’s source of income, maybe the name of his employer wasn’t reflecting consistently in his bank account with the amount he claims he earns (118) every month end and he didn’t explain his other sources of income with appropriate documentations. Note if you are using multiple sources of income you will have plenty explanations to do. On your own part are you sure after your monthly 50k expenses you have cumulative increase in your bank account leading up to your balance. I think your husband application might have affected yours. If all these are done I would strongly believe your family have been treated unfairly and you can seek redress. |
good day, justwise and all the gurus in the house. i applied for uk visit visa with my husband and daughter. My uncle is sent us invite letter and stated that he will be responsible for our accomodation and upkeep while in the uk. I am employed with monthly salary of 145k and also recieve monthly salary from me and hubby business. I submitted my marriage certificate, all our birth certificate, employment letter, introduction letter from my boss, leave approval letter, my personal bank statement where i receive my salary and me and hubby's company bank statement. My husband is self emeployed and he pays himself 180k monthly from the company acct. he also work part time for an international company and he recieve 165 dollars monthly fixed. he also works does freelancer project for a multinational company in Nigeria but his payment is not fixed and only receives wage according to the project he does. He submitted our company bank statement, personal savings account and is personal current dollar account where he recieves 165 dollars monthly, introduction letter on his bussiness letter head , Contract letter and payslip from the foreign company, Frelancer contract letter., business name registration, local government permit , house rent agreement and receipt. At the part which say 'is anyone paying for all or part of your trip' i stated my husband will pay part of my trip and they asked how much will he give me i said 200 pounds . I already said i intend to spend 1300 pounds for my trip. The section where i was asked how much i spend for my leaving expenses i stated 50K of which i wrote it at the additionally information page that the 50k is an average since some month are more and some months are less, but the eco still refused me based on that. My daughter was refused because her parent where refused and we stated that we are the one she is travelling with. The ECO jst refused our visa in a rush ,he/she made alot of typo error even saying my husband intend to travel with his wife and children intend of child, our employer and my uncle was not even contacted. we went for biometric at ikeja tls on 27th of march in 8 days decision has been sent to us via mail. I cant still figure out what the problem was. kindly help me review the refusal letter[/quote Sorry about your situation but I can pick plenty things from your refusal letter, the caseworker talked a lot about the inconsistencies on your bank account which you will be in a better position to understand that, but let me talk about your monthly expenses and what the caseworker might observe, let’s say you are receiving 100k per month and the spend 50k that month by the end of next month give or take the caseworker might be expecting to see 150k and the next 200k ..........and you should note that the case worker must have noticed significant high spending than 50k in certain months according to the refusal letter. Let’s go to the second error I noticed, you have 1500 pounds available for your 21 days trip I.e 900,000.00 naira, if you are buying your travel ticket to UK each of you will spend about 350k subject to the itinerary you have provided in your application, so multiply 350k by 3 you will have over a million which is more than the funds you made available for your trip . Thirdly I will talk about your sponsor, I believe he must be a very rich man in the UK to be able to provide upkeep for 3 people, they will expect each one of you to spend at least 40 pounds per week on feeding for 3 people is 120 pounds then for 3 weeks is 360 pounds, let’s say your uncle drives and he will take you around so transportation is not needed, let’s say he has a spare room so accommodation is sorted. They will consider his own financial engagements in the UK, how many children has he , his basic salary etc. |
Sweetjam:You should submit 6 months bank statements that clearly show your monthly salary and financial commitments. Try to avoid any unexplained large deposits of cash also let your total savings be at least twice or significantly more than your proposed UK trip expenses. The documents you will put together will depend largely on your situation but you may need certain general documents I will recommend Hotel bookings if you do not have a sponsor providing you with accommodation Flight reservations Employment letter Leave letter International passport with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank pages for visa Marriage certificate and birth certificate of children if applicable Prove of property ownership etc... It can be more depending on your situation. |
mekaboy:The sponsor should send their invitation letter and any supporting documents to the applicant so the applicant can include these documents in their visitor visa application. The sponsor should not send any documents directly to a British Embassy or High Commission. |
kcfastshooter:You can apply for international drivers licence in Nigeria before you leave but this will only permit you to drive in the UK for a period of 12 months it is suitable for visitors, if you are staying in the UK for a long time you might need to apply for your provisional license. Pls note your international drivers licence becomes void irrespective of the validity date on it once you apply for a provisional licence in the Uk. |
Chinlin:Like I advised earlier, you have the right to extend your family visitor visa based on certain reasons e.g if you want to send more time with your sick family member which you could get an extension of 28 days. You can also extend based on exceptional assurance due to COVID 19 if your leave to stay expires by June 30 2021..you can stay in the UK legally once you have your application logged in pending response, but if you still in doubt you can ring the home office explaining your situation they might tell you to come and get a temporary stamp till a decision is reached. |
Chinlin:If he is applying under exceptional assurance he can stay the following rule has made provision for that.“During the time in which your request for ‘exceptional assurance’ is pending you will continue on the conditions as per your current or most recently expired visa”. If he is applying on the basis of wanting to spend more time with his probably sick family members and he has a pending application with the home office he can stay too till decisions is reached. |
sgtponzihater1:So far nothing tie your brother-in-law to Nigeria, his chances are very low.I would advise him to apply when there is a significant change in his circumstance. |
Seslie:Like I use to say and strongly believe, there is no one size fits all when applying for visa it will largely depend on individuals circumstances and situation. The writer states that he/she is applying for a business visitors visa that now falls under the category of standard visitors visa (business) with resisted activities like attending meetings, conferences etc, he has also stated that he/she will be financed by his company, for his company to sponsor his visa I believe what he is going there for will be of benefit to the company. Now let’s take attending conference for instance which he will learn more and come back to affect the company positively and the company has decided to sponsor him the company will be expected to show there financial statement being the sponsor. |
I really appreciate your gesture advise Mr Giselle, Please can you explain what you mean by feel free to work on buckling up your business to present it as a financial, economic and asset tie to Nigeria.Pls I am only telling you what has worked for several, not that it is the clear cut way. Again this is strictly my opinion. NB: Have been running my business with my personal account for over a year now which I have total amount of 8m. Please can you advise me how I can move this money to my company account after i open my company account ? Secondly every month my income from my business is minimum of 500k gain at time I see 700k because I do sell like 2 or 3 used cars in a month plus sales of building materials .... So my salary from my business in a month is up to 500k to 750k . I'm a family man with kids which my monthly expenses is range of 150k to 200k Please advise me how I can later move the money I have in my personal account to my company account after I successfully open my company account? The simple explanation is that you are going to the uk for enjoyment so you cannot rely on your business account's bank statements alone for your application because ordinarily the funds there should represent money meant for business expenses.make the funds meant for your proposed trip available in your personal account. |
nafitari:Your company needs to provide you with bank statements, anybody acting as sponsors must provide financial statements. |
seunny4lif:I will advice people not to apply for tourist visa for now because Ireland is very serious and the lockdown rule, if you are coming from overseas naija includes you have to self isolate for 14 days at some designated hotels close to the airport and the fee for these hotel’s is much |
Angelxtol:When a person applies for visa at an Embassy or Consulate, the Consular Officer can issue the visa at or soon after the visa interview/ submition ... Administrative Processing means that the Consular Officer is sending the case from the Embassy/Consulate for further evaluation and screening. |
Greetings to the gurus in the house, please after submitting dependent visa my friend noticed her church marriage certificate had a slight misspelling in the husband name instead of Kodi it was Kaodi. But the court wedding certificate is correct, and every other document that Carries his name (I.e birth certificate of child, statement, etc etc). Please would this be an issue? Your advice is needed please False representation and Information Under paragraph 320(7A) of the rules , you must not refuse an applicant just because of mistakes in the application. For example the applicant has given an incorrect post code or misspelt a name on their application form. You must be statisfied that deception has been used or applicant intended to deceive. I think you should get an affidavit to allay future fears. |
thatunilaggirl:Once she meets the requirements of student visa the refusal won’t affect. |
Yeah, if you are lucky maybe within 16months You have apply as a visitor than once here, you can just go to the Garda office and apply for Stamp 4. Is your spouse Irish?
Incorrect information...You don’t have the right to change your visitors visa to stamp 4.... No Garda will do that for you it’s against the law. |
@Fisherlala, the application is that of parents of Irish child with passport. It's not the join spouse application. There is nobody to join in Ireland. Okay, I guess the child is with you in Nigeria. |
readynow:Okay, I think you have been advised accordingly and fairly by others. |
sihamey:If they have online facility the caseworker might not understand why you have to be present there physically unless you write a letter explaining why you must be there in person. |
sihamey:Normally you are not supposed to pay for hotels but your reservation should be valid by the time the caseworker contact them but nowadays hotels do cancel reservations that is not paid for and they can do so without your knowledge. Some hotels will require you to have adequate money in your card when booking they will hold the money they won’t take it out until you arrive the facility and you must go there with the card you used in bookings to make proper payment. You can also search for book now pay at the property hotels they will normally hold your reservation for as long as you come and you don’t need to pay. Check for there terms and conditions because it’s different. |
giselle237:Unless the conference does not have an online facility which I doubt, make sure the conference is related to your business. I suggest you book an hotel. |
damkanlinsin:Security clearance is to check criminal records of individuals it’s normally applied for by their employers. |
Nchabuomo:Since she is not underage I. E under 18 no legal requirement to submit consent letter from husband. I also believe marriage certificate is okay |
readynow:Are you the one working or your wife? |
Nielbaba:Your hand luggage will be with you, your checked in luggage will be waiting for you at Manchester airport. |
You are not applying to Canada, every application will be treated with it’s own merit , UK will not just refuse you just because you have a ban although the ban won’t look good and it might make them doubt your credibility,But make sure you don’t hide anything about the ban when applying. |

odugbemiopeyemi:Go to tax office or FIRS office and get it done but I would suggest you pay for 2 years back because you don’t want it look like you quickly went to file for tax because of your proposed application. Now the any other document part what I mean is any document that can demonstrate truly you have a legit business going on. |
not correct. I have personally benefitted from the hotel service, 4 star with awesome food. Very comfortable shuttle service to the hotel and back to the airport when it is time for ur flight. If u have long transit hours of 13 hours or more and there was no other flight from turkish airline that is goin to ur destination and offering shorter travel time then u will get hotel, u however need to arrange ur e visa urself to be able to leave the airport. Thanks for this....unless your stop over is not organic maybe he was the one that route his ticket to produce an artificial lay over. |
famzynet:Please kindly post the link where you got your information that no hotel for economy passenger on Turkish airline educate us more on this. Thanks |
