ibukunpops:All things been equal by late June most of the countries in the UK will be on level 0 lockdown in fact international holiday and non essential travel will be opened by May 17 according to Grant Shapps, since he can apply for his visa 3 months before his departure date it should not be a big deal. Talking about COVID-19 I don’t see any wrong in self isolating in the hotel for instance in Ireland if you are coming from Nigeria you have to self isolate in the hotel for 14 days before hitting the town this is not only applicable to visitors even Irish will do same. |
nafitari:Put the hotel’s name and address you intend to stay as your accommodation but make sure it’s the same hotel bookings print out you are submitting with your application. |

ecton:Since you didn’t bridge the conditions of your previous visa and I presume you have not changed job then with good salary and reasonable bank account you should be able to sponsor yourself. If you are going for tourism as an adult it will only make sense if you sponsor yourself. I also don’t like the invitation thingy except if you are a child or it’s your spouse sponsoring you because your sponsor finances and relationship will be put into consideration and they will also check yours too so it’s like double assessment to me. |
Olawamiwale06:It should be the general requirement for schengen visa. 1. Application form filled with black ink and block letter for some countries you have to fill it online 2. 2 passport photo under white background with a specific size 3. Medical insurance with medical coverage of 30,000€ for schengen countries 4. Itinerary I.e hotel bookings and flight reservations 5.3-6 months bank account 6. Pay slip and employment letter if employed under an organisation 7. CAC certificate of self employed 8. Marriage cert if married and birth certificate of children if applicable 9. Leave letter I hope am not missing anything |
Guest911:Application for visa (family settlement or reunion): form appendix 1 VAF4A Form to go with VAF4A (family visa) application for an adult dependant relative, a child of settled parents or a parent given leave before 9 July 2012. You can copy the above information and paste it on google search engine. |
Guest911:With your dad fulfilling the financial requirement of 18,600 pounds per year in the UK you can look at family reunification and settlement visa. Under the part 8 of the uk immigration rule you can apply for child visa if you are below 18 but note if you are married and you are below 18 you will be treated as an adult.but if you are an adult I.e above 18 it could be a bit difficult check the requirements. |
iretiogo1:It’s because majority make up their financial status and lack evidence to back it up, It’s not a crime to have 2 or 3 sources of income even there are people in the uk with more than one source income and they understand this but the onus is on you to back it up with documents that the extra income is not made up one and make the specific money and name of the creditor reflect in your account for instance if he is getting his pension from Livingstone company they will expect living stone to reflect in his bank account.all they just want see is clearity and to understand how you make your extra funds. He also said he spends 65k monthly but his outgoing expenses monthly is more than that according to the immigration officer. but it’s very illogical to travel for 14 days only to spend 10 days in isolation. |
seyola:I will cut the long story short and tell you why he was refused he applied at the wrong time, imagine he is going to the UK to spend 14 days and out of the 14 days he would be self isolating for 10 days making him have just 4 days to move around, that’s a very awkward and suspicious travel plans. The remaining reasons written on the letter is just English. |
hammedkazeem:1.Demonstrate enough tie to your country of residence, your job and your family are good ties but if you can look for more. 2. Demonstrate you have financially capability to sponsor yourself for the trip I.e good salary and enough account balance avoid depositing unexplained lump sum. 3. Do you have a good travel history if you do it will help. |
Iyanu6000:If your new passport is taking too long and you don’t have such time on your hand you can use use the one with your maiden name attach your marriage certificate. |
Wales1111:On that note I think you should be eligible for free hotel accommodations, benefit of Turkish Airlines. You should proceed to the Hotel Desk of Turkish Airlines which is located past immigration and customs control but the obligation to enter the country is on you ( passport, visas etc) |
Wales1111:If your stop over is 8 to 12 hours the airline has an obligation of providing you with hotel accommodations and food unless it’s stated otherwise on your travelling ticket. So I suggest you check the terms of your ticket. |
vaticanboy:What you are thinking of is how to convince the immigration officer that the marriage is not of convenience, if that be the case your court marriage certificate is okay as a prof that an actual marriage took place, the second hurdle will be to prof how genuine your relationship is,so you can present the little marriage pictures you have as they will understand that not everyone love big weddings, you can also get transcripts of your calls from when you started the relationship, other pictures you took together aside the wedding pictures will also be okay. I hope this helps. |
[quote author=Dare120 post=100323134]Sir i am new here and i have been reading comments and advice regarding UK application....i also want to make an enquiry I am planning to submit a uk application soon it a family visit as i have a brother who already send IV, passport pages of his children and his own, tenent rent etc....i worked in my dad company as the human resource manager and i earn 350,000k, am married and also on my phd programme in unilag....i also have a small business venture in school where i do data analyst, proof read thesis and project which also bring income to me starting from 10k to about 30k from students on campus which is also added in my salary account ....how can i also explain dat to the ECO or which evidence can i add to my application . Also my brother did not include his bank statment hope it will not affect me Thank as i await response from u guys sir You can attach a letter with your application stating clearly how you got the extra funds you talked about with copies of receipts you gave your clients for payments made, with the clients name clearly written or invoices that demonstrates payments as the names and amount reflects in your account. I think you should also try to get your brother’s bank account but if you can get it then you will be your own sponsor. |
SweetOlive:It depends on who you are married to let me talk about your spouse being an EU member on that note the EU law states that without prejudice divorce, annulment of marriage or termination of the registered partnership shall not entail loss of the right of residence of a Union citizen’s family members who are not nationals of a member state where: 1. If prior to initiation of the divorce the marriage has lasted for at least 3 years, including one year in the host member state in your case the host member state is UK or 2. If you guys have a child together and there is an agreement between you two or by court order, you happen to have the custody of the Union citizen’s child or 3. If the divorce is warranted by particular circumstances, such as you been a victim of domestic violence while in the marriage or 4. If there is an agreement between the spouses or by court order you happen to have access to a minor child, provided that the court has ruled that such access must be in the host member state, and as long as required.I.e if the brexit has not changed this rule also if you are married to a British citizen the rule might be different. |
giselle237:Since you have a legal status to reside in Trinidad and Tobago for now you can apply from there. |
gg4real:Is that the only reason for his refusal? If the answer is yes if I were you I will re-apply immediately writing a letter to address this mistake point blank. |
nbid:Although you do not having any prior travel history and you are single these 2 factors might count negatively against your application a little bit but it’s not a yardstick for refusal. If you earn 100k per month and you make 300k from you private business I hope my calculations is correct then that will be about 400k monthly which is about 800 pounds which is not a bad one. Now let’s work on your account balance you should have about 2.2m in the account before your application, let’s say you book your travel ticket for 350k , I didn’t get how long you intend to stay in the UK for because that will be a strong factor but let’s say 10 days and you have your hotel reservations for 60 pounds per day which will be 600 pounds for 10 days i.e about 360k you will be expected to spend about 30-50 pounds for feeding per day let’s calculate for 50 per day which is about 300k in total you might be spending 910k and you will still have over 1m in your account to fall back to on your returns. Your account balance looks good if you don’t go for expensive iternery. |
giselle237:Transiting through most EU countries will require a transit visa, I used Turkish airlines specifically in my illustrations because Turkey is not part of the European Union so this requirement will likely not be applicable to travellers travelling to the uk via Turkish airline.they will give your mum 2 boarding pass one will get her to Istanbul and she should proceed straight to her boarding gate to connect with her UK flight. |
Fisherlala:Going to UK via all these airlines has nothing to do with brexit and you won’t need a transit visa of the countries you will be stopping over at, for instance if you are going to UK via Turkish airline you will have a stop over in Istanbul since you are not planning to enter Istanbul you will go to the connecting flight section and get your flight to the UK. |
giselle237:If he has not been banned by the immigration getting a job with the NHS is a significant change in circumstance and he should be fine. |
Hi guys, am new on this platform and I will like to tell you my story maybe someone might benefit from it. I have been travelling to the UK on a tourist visa since 2009 but something very sad happened to me in 2012, I was stopped by an immigration officer at Muritala airport on my way to Heathrow at Arik stand, the lady checked my hotel reservations and noticed something absurd that was when I knew that the hotel my agent booked for me was ridiculously high 4,800£ for a 10 day trip the lady got curious and ask what do I work as and how much was I travelling with, I had just 2,300€ on me that day, I tried talking my way through by telling her I was going to spend just 2 days in that hotel and change to a cheaper one but she sent me back to the embassy, my visa was eventually revoked. I stopped travelling since then as I was so scared that the revoked UK stamp on my passport will count negatively on any application I make, the passport expired and I began a new journey in 2014 by then I have been married to an Irish citizen and I have an Irish child so my attention was in Ireland to be with my family , I applied for Irish visa but it was sadly declined in 2014 probably because of my previous UK denial as both countries share immigration data under the common travel area or maybe I should have applied for family reunification visa but am not sure it the result will be different. Anyways I started researching for the best and legal means to join my family till I come across EU free movement directive 2004/38/EC I was able to secure plenty schengen visa and visa to other EU states using this directive and I eventually moved to Ireland making use of this directive as well. To the glory of God I now reside in Ireland and a proud Irish citizen. Thanks. |
Rlola:Every applicant is required to provide their own account and you will also be assessed based on it. |
I will advise people applying for student visa in Bulgaria to look in another direction, do you know there are some schools in the UK especially in Cardiff that will accept 3k from you to get your visa although the total school fee might be up to 10k but with 3k you can get your visa and pay the balance in instalments by then you will be in the UK and probably with a Job. |
chimeziefranklin:That is strange, once you attend your interview and submit your documents you will go home with your passport until you are called to come and get your Visa. They usually do not hold back passports. |
sonofspada:You want to work in Bulgaria!!! anyways tell your sponsor to try and apostle the invitation letter with the Bulgarian Immigration. |
Walepro:Do you mean if you stand a good chance of securing a travelling visa, maybe tourist visa. I will advise you in the following manner based on tourist visa but you will be the one to choose if you are eligible for the visa or not. The immigration officer will likely access your application on 3 grounds, the first one is your travel history they always try to downplay this but trust me it’s very important, if you have previous visa’s to countries like UK,Ireland,Japan,USA,or Canada you will have a good stand under this ground but I don’t think China visa will not make much difference. Second ground will be the tie to your country of residence, let’s look at your family tie you are not married so that one is not in existence currently and it’s a minus for you.Let’s also look at your work tie, you are not currently employed by any reputable outfit but you have a house which could be a good tie if you can display your house documents The last ground you might be accessed is your financial capability which will largely be displayed through your bank account, I don’t know how much account balance you intend to provide to the immigration officer, with this little information you can access yourself. Let’s move to the second part of your question going to Europe with a tourist is a 50/50 thing, I really don’t know easy it is in America and Canada but Europe in largely about document I mean temporary or permanent residence permit Let me tell you what to expect once you overstay for visa, you will become illegal in that country and you won’t be able to do much then you might be forced to seek asylum, you might be under asylum for years but if you are lucky enough you might be granted an asylum status quickly depending on how convincing your story is. You might also be lucky to see an EU citizen or local woman to marry or maybe make baby with an indigene. |
NTraveler01:I really do not know much about Turkish visa but I can provide you informations on the required account balance you might need to apply for your tourist visa. Firstly, make sure there is adequate inflow and outflow of funds in the bank accounts you are presenting ,in case you want to submit a salary account and maybe you claim you are earning 100k per month make sure the account will reflect 100k every month end by your said employer. Secondly avoid putting a lump sum in your bank account days before your application because you might make the immigration officer see this as trying to obtain travelling visa under false pretence and this will be seen as visa fraud. Lastly I will say how much you should have in your account will largely depend on the number of days you intend stay for, the amount of your flight ticket and hotel reservations because it will be calculated against these factors, for instance if your flight reservation is 350k, your hotel booking let’s say for 10 days is 200k and you will need about 50 euro for feeding a day for 10 days which is about 500 euro 250k. So in total you will be spending 800k for your trip , I would say 1.5m is okay to be your account balance considering this travel plan. And you will still have 700k to come back to in your country of residence because it won’t make any sense if you spent the whole money in your account for a 10 days trip. |
LuchyCute222:Is this how I do it? |
Please am new here and I want to know how to reply texts as I feel I have a lot to contribute to this lovely forum. Thanks |
