I read what you sent and you said that your right ear was partially blocked when you were hearing the sound (until you used the ear drop). I think you should go to the hospital to have your ear checked because you might have an ear infection. Tinnitus can be caused by exposing your ear to loud noises and also ear infections. Since your case wasn't caused by loud noises, it might be an ear infection which makes it more serious.

Go to a hospital which specializes on the ear or one which specializes on the Ear, Nose, and Eye (like the nairalander above advice) to have your ear checked for an infection.

The noise might have subsided but the infection [might] still be there.

The earlier you go the better, or you might lose your hearing.

I was able to get rid of the sound in a week because I knew what caused it. Stress and listening to music at very high volumes with my earpiece. Immediately I changed those two things I was able to have peace. That is why I asked you what caused yours.

Also do you hear the sound normally or only when you are in quiet places?

No, from my own experience, the hissing sound will go away completely, but will come back whenever you feel stressed or possibly sick. That is what I mean by you will be able to live as if it was never there.

Though before when the sound was worst, like i told u before that i was hearing the sound of a generator in my ear. Then i couldnt sleep, bt after using ear drop drop the sound reduced and it changed to hissing.

Tinnitus is the perception of noise or ringing in the ear when there is no external sound present, it could also be a ringing, humming, buzzing, roaring, clicking or hissing sound. If you are hearing any sound like you said a generator sound or a hissing sound and there is nothing around you that is making that sound (I mean if there is no generator that is on, or there is no one hissing) then you have tinnitus.

I advice you go to your doctor since you have already started treatment and noticed changes (the eardrop). Your doctor will make a proper diagnosis and tell you the next steps to take.

You didn't tell me the cause of your tinnitus, if it was because you were playing music so loud or because you were in a noisy place or because of an ear disease.

Don't worry, just take to your doctor and lay all the necessary details and he will be able to help you in case you have severe tinnitus which is a little worse

Tinnitus can't be cured, but you can live your life as if it was never there (I mean you can live your life without ever hearing that hissing sound in your ear).

Recently, I am writing an ebook about How to Control Your Sexual Urge, targeted at men but it will also help women, I hope this ebook will be reviewed by ilegendd.

Here is something I will include in the ebook that I decided to share with you guys.

This is mostly for those guys and ladies that are below 25, but other adults can learn from this too.

So why is Konji so hard to control (especially for the guys).

Controlling sexual urge is all about the brain and the mind. People with stronger minds and control over the bodies can dispel sexual urge and keep themselves pure. But when you are below 25, it becomes a problem.

For young adolescents and young adults, the age of puberty and sexual maturity comes with a strong sexual urge and interest. At these age young adolescents develop sexual feelings which are influenced by cultural norms, sex education provided, sexual orientation and social controls e.g age of consent laws.

So why is it so hard to control

The brain of a young adolescent and adult is not neurally mature (your brain becomes fully matured at age 25). Several brain region that are deemed important for self-control, delayed gratification, risk analysis and appreciation are not fully matured until you are aged 25.

So if your urge feels so uncontrollable, its partially because the parts of your brain that give you full control of your sexual desires are not fully matured yet.

If you add that to the cultural norms we have today, where most movies are filled with naked scenes promoting nudity and most girls dress half naked and where sex is a normal thing of the day all that makes plus the fact that your brain is not full matured makes it harder for you to control your sexual feelings.

So how can I control my sexual urges easily?

My ebook is still unfinished and once I am done, I hope it will help everyone move beyond that barrier of brain maturity to help them control their sexual urges and live a wonderful life.

As for your question

Abstaining from earpiece wouldn't stop the sound per say, but it will reduce your chances of going deaf.

Stop using earpiece on both ears for up to 1 month, always note or write down the changes you notice.

For example, does it ring or beat when you are in very quiet places? This is very important to note

Secondly, does it make it hard for you to fall asleep at night or to think and concentrate, that is another important thing to note if it does then you need to visit your doctor immediately.

Sleep and stress can be a problem and make the hissing worse if you don't sleep well, then you need to start sleeping well and try not to get stressed up, stress will make the hissing much worse. You can find out lots on my blog about controlling stress.

Always stay away from loud places and noises. Listen to music with your phone speaker and not with earpiece or headphones.

All these will make the hissing sound go away but that doesn't mean it will be cured, but you can live your life as if it is not there.

If you still have this problem after a month then you can visit your doctor.

Don't listen to any lady's advice here on nairaland, they will only say what they can't do in real life and that is because most ladies don't kmnow what they want.

As for the lady, she seems to feel your desperation and how clingy you will be, if she ever gives you a chance it might be out of pity or maybe another guy broke her heart.

What you need to do is cool down, don't rush things and look into your life. You are not giving yourself enough value by being desperate, you say you are in your PPA which is a big turn off because a man with no job is no man at all. Only Friends with benefits can work for now. I admonish you to focus on your personal development and getting a good foundation (a good job) then you can start hunting for ladies.

Let her go and focus on the important things now and every other thing will be added
