Tokunbo 1998 Mazda 626 Full duty paid Manual transmission Alloy wheels Vehicle was bought off a private owner from Europe with valid road worthiness. It drives very well, neat fabric interior and polished exterior. Tires are good with alloy wheels and AC chilling. Engine is very sound. Car is available for inspection in Gudu, Abuja. Price: #1.150M |
I keep wondering why cars usually have two different year of production in Nigeria and we end up confusing ourselves. It is either 05 or 06 and not both. |
sledge001: ??4Matic is MB's copyright name for its All Wheel Drive system. This has no bearing with the engine capacity. |
Hello Adexfem, I need to clear a cooling 6 tyre truck with an underaged car, Mazda 626 loaded inside the truck. It is coming from Europe in 3 weeks time. How much will this be? Please break it down for each. Mind you I was once your customer, so I need a customer friendly price. |
Hello Oliver. How much will you clear a 6 tyres truck loaded with an underaged car coming from Europe? |
Waiting... |
I have a refrigerator body 1999 model Volvo FM7 250hp truck (6 tyres) coming from Belgium bundled with a 1998 Mazda 626 Saloon car. They should arrive in a few weeks time. Calling on clearing agents for a quote for GENUINE import duty for both vehicles please. Please drop your phone number as well.

jodeci01:The sticker states January 2013 as the production date. It was made in Japan, probably for US market. This definitely was not sold in Nigeria as brand new, at least not in April 2017. For me car is clean enough and price seems right, but the OP is either too carried away himself or just decided to live in deception. Why claim that a 4 year old car with over 35k miles (or 55k + km) was bought as brand new 3 months ago? |
Isn't this car too cheap for a Tokunbo EOD? Shipping from US and clearing alone is close to 800k by my estimate. Well seeing the rear light combo, not sure I should comment any further. But OP I am interested in that your 06 Corolla going for N1.8m. The price is just right for me. |
Hello Adexfem. How much will you clear Golf3/Opel Vectra/Vento/Ford Focus all between 1996 to 2001. Your very best price please. They are 8 in number to come from Hamburg, Germany. |
dorbudee:N1.8 whaaat For this used 14 year old Lagos taxi? Even tokunbo EOD of the same year sells for less. I think this thread belongs to the joke section. |

Just add N250k to round up to N5m. |
hubcruz:Mr. Tony, can I call you? I want to come and take a few profile-worthy pictures with this machine. I promise I will only stand close to it. |
Inception:Just being sarcastic bro. When a seller labels a car "extremely clean" you would expect it to be in a factory mint condition. But this FX here has obviously been involved in an accident. Selling it for the quoted amount is not justified. #TruthBeTold# |
Inception:Dollar is very very high now, so also custom duty. Cotonou border has closed too. So Oga try and understand. ![]() Jokes apart, many of the used vehicles currently advertised on Nairaland were bought at the same prices 3 or 4 years ago . Someone bought a 2003 Big Daddy for N1.4m in 2014. He is advertising it for the same N1.4m more than 3 years after. All on top of exchange rate. |
Nice SUV. I will like to see how the fuel gauge reads at exactly half tank and full tank. The calibration looks funny. Same for the battery charge gauge. Happy sales anyway. |
I like your car sir and I have someone who is interested. Can you send me some more pics especially engine, seats, dashboard gauges while engine is running and the trunk. Email ofismails@yahoo.com.com Sorry I don't stay in Lagos, the reason for my long request. |
For once in a long while I am coming across a car that is reasonably priced on Nairaland. Speedy sales. |
Looks clean. If you can deal N1.65m we can wrap this up before Easter even though I am not based in PH, it's not a problem. |
Can you deal N1.5m? What is the current mileage and any major fault to deal with? |
Business secrets are not cheap. Nairaland is rich, but anything beyond what I have provide now and earlier, I am afraid you nee to go out of Nairaland. In my own case, I went to Dei-Dei in Abuja and also travelled down to Jos for 3 days to study the business. If you are in Lagos, I don't know if Ketu market is still functional. They are have a park there. You can also go to Ijora where you can meet with drivers, mechanics and part sellers. They conglomerate some where just outside Akure if you are heading to Owo. I still have my mechanic's contact who can provide additional information on the business and mechanical aspect though he is based in Jos. Drop your email address here and I can send you the number. I can check my phone for the numbers of drivers. My former drivers are from Nassarawa, only a few of them will be calm to give you the details you want. But the mechanic is more level-headed. One funny thing is that he is very popular amongst those drivers and can identify many of them because they always pass through Jos to carry goods and repair their vehicles. Good luck in your business endeavor sir. |
In the end, you may want to ask if the business pays. Transport business like any type of food business will always yield good returns on investment as people must move around for different purpose. Like I said in the opening post, the bane of the business is the drivers. You will make millions from it in a few years if you are lucky to have a good driver which I didn't have. I sure know that there are ways such risks can be managed. Another issue with mine was that I didn't take it as a full time job which is a requirement as I have another job by the side which does not give me time. So please don't be discouraged. Though I stand to be corrected, but I seriously doubt if you can get information about mechanics and current operations from this forum. The reason is basically the mechanics are usually Kazeems type of arrangement - the type that remove thermostat to avoid overheating of engine (you will understand this if you are a patron of the Nairaland Auto section). As per drivers, I have never seen any of mine visit Nairaland before ![]() |
