They engage you on a very interesting topic to distract you from seeing the amount on the meter. The topic of discussion can even be on the sticker on your vehicle. At some other time they will be asking you to buy fuel saver and some useless tablets with unverified performance. Imagine a girl that cannot distinguish a clutch pedal from brake pedal telling me how a certain tablet will save me gallons of fuel. What fuel does someone buying 1000 naira worth want to save? They use the hose of the pump to block the screen of the meter so you can only partially see the amount. They start selling into your tank as soon as you bend down and press the tank opener without allowing you to confirm if the meter has been reset. They collaborate with the car charger and air freshener hawkers to distract you on arrival so you lose concentration. After selling to a customer they hang the pump without hooking it. The meter will not reset when they lift the pump. They use pump whose meter is at the opposite side of your queue without informing you of the situation and they start selling immediately and ask you to now come over for confirmation. They ask you to drive forward a bit more to where you can not see the meter very clearly and start selling into your tank without allowing you to confirm the meter reading. If electricity goes out while dispensing, they call out an arbitrary amount that they sold already and quickly wipe it off as soon as light is restored so as to continue selling. There is a likelihood that their figure stays in your head rather than what will be on the display. They oversell to your car by an amount that is less than 100. The change you will collect from them is fairly negligible maybe 60 or 70 naira so you will leave it for them. Not much but significant when they gather it for a dozen or more vehicles. |
Get a mechanic to assess it for you. "Female used" has never been a yardstick for assessing used vehicles. Women may be good at 'gentle driving' but women on the average don't follow maintenance schedule the way men would do. In fact, many more don't even usually know when things are going wrong in a car. |
I salute you. The efforts put in paid off. |
Do you sell double axle with tandem? I want to swap it for my two rear axles carrying balloon suspensions. |
WilliamsDeGreat:Why don't you ask your friend? Since you drove his; it means he has a first hand experience. |
Oyindamolah:Danfo 950k? Certainly this your tokunbo danfo will require a lot of work before it can be engaged for transport business. An extra budget will be required. Even tokunbo golf 3 no longer sell for 1m. Uber Tokunbo Corolla 1.2m? This is simply unrealistic sir whether from Cotonou or not except you are buying a stolen tokunbo corolla. |
naptu2:That is more than enough. It is not even her duty to be developing upcoming players. The NFF is meant to do that. |
I have 5 units of Ford Transit and Volkswagen LT vans. They are in medium and long wheel bases, all high roofs. Suitable for your type of business including chair and canopy rental. They are also tokunbo and in very good condition. They are in Abuja. They all have full custom duty so can be delivered anywhere in Nigeria without issues. |
But Naija used cars are very plenty here on Nairaland. Just call the sellers and seal multiple deals, no too much talk for the matter. Apologies for my mischief. ![]() |
pusskhole:E shock me too! |
Just body works. 08 spider (Camry) cannot be upgraded to 2015 though. The bodyshells are not the same. I also suspect that a lot of tokunbo cars that are advertised as upgraded were actually damaged vehicles. The dealers decided to go for the body upgrade in the process of repairing them. |
Osashalom: Go and sin no more Bro. |
Osashalom:Wow, I am not so surprised that you cannot afford road trips to 10 states in Nigeria. It is truly not a 'joke financially' for beggars like you. You better go look for work to do and stop thinking everyone must be at your level. |
psucc:Why are you asking who foots the bill as if it costs an arm and a leg to travel to these places? Inside Nigeria self! Na your type dey think every rich man na thief. If you live in FCT you can visit Gwarinpa pottery, Mpape crushed rock, Usuma Dam and Gurara falls for less than 10k. Gate fees and snacks inclusive. Even Benin Republic is accessible for far less than that amount from Mile 2. Poverty is a disease and poverty mentality is a curse. Oh God let me not be poor. |
Good job but misleading title. I was expecting tips on what a buyer should do or look out for when buying a truck. |
2cribz:Chai! See transfer of aggression. E no easy to survive for Naija. Anyway I have 07 ML for you, 1.4m only. Tokunbo standard, super clean no issues. |
DaddyRochie1642:Please which Bible verse is that? |
amstamon:Bros na fight! An interested buyer who is out looking for an Honda Accord will call the seller and ask for price and many other details about a car, not sure it will be more than 500 naira airtime. I for one will request for more pictures and the condition of the vehicle before requesting for the price and I will not even bargain until I inspect and check out what I want to buy. |
loyedammy:Is it not child abuse to make a baby fend for the family? |
bluebay:All of the things you wrote here are very wrong. You obviously have no idea of this bus. |
KingAzubuike:RIP |
AirFireEarthH20:It doesn't cost much to read before posting. The evacuation is for bringing Nigerians living abroad back home. To think some people already liked your post. |
