Nice one. Remember a neighbour used to have it as ataxi in the late eighties/early nineties. Funny enough we still have them very plenty in Nigeria, of course as pick up vans and not sedan. So I don't think the basic parts are so scarce.

A good 3-seater van starts from 700/750K, perhaps from Cotonnou - the likes of Honda Shuttle 96/97, Dodge Caravan and the earlier models of Nissan Quest. So amend your post and step up your budget to get results. Besides you are going to be using it transport toddlers so don't go for junks please.

That however does not mean immigration officials cannot harrass and intimidate you if you allow them. Please if you have the pictures of the sealed engine and digital a/c controls for the 190, kindly post them for my knowledge. Haven't seen those on any 190 before even though 'sealed engine' is not an option that people usually pay for specially in a car, I mean it is not a luxury accessory.

Hi, I didn't want to reply until I saw the price tag of 950K on the 190. For whatever options you are calling full - digital A/C (guess you mean a/c control knobs, though haven't seen that b4), leather seats, 1 air bag, selaed engine and wetin again self - you cannot compare the 1989/90 benz to camry 98 especially when they are at the same price. To start with, the 190 is way overpriced. Without checking with the dealers, that spec of benz shouldn't cost more than 550/600K (i stand corrected please). No doubt benz is a good and rugged car anyday (i have refused to sell/dispose my 190 after using it for 5 yrs+ in addition to the 20yrs it accumulated b4 I bought it for 480K at Berger, Lagos). However, I have discovered that japanese cars are more fuel economical, and believe me, cheaper to maintain especially when new because mechanical parts of older cars wear out faster than those of newer cars depending on the degree of use. Other odds against the benz is the unbelievable mileage of 10K for a car that is as old as 20yrs assuming it was manufactured in 1990 and not 1984 like mine. The maths gave me just above 1mile a day! From the angle of experience, my 190 used to overheat whenever i stayed in hold up for long. Though it was later corrected by the time I changed the radiator to a bigger one as well as the 'top engine' and some stuff all for 50K. Aside the two airbags in the basic tiny light camry, I will not forget to tell you that the Camry has some more safety features that were probably not yet invented when the 190 was manufactured. Side by side, you earn more respect with the camry - bigger, quieter, roomier, more fuel economical, newer etc. The last one, do you know why I actually parked my 190, now wait: it was priced for 170K. In 5 years time, while camry will sell for 450K for used, your benz with the weather beaten leather seats and digital a/c knobs that have fallen off would also be priced for 150K. Poor resale value for benz if you care to know.

Indeed baconline's response may appear rude, but pricing a tokunbo 05 EOD for 1.35m is grossly unfair to the seller. I keep wondering why some buyers are very unrealistic in their pricing. If I was offered the car at the amount being priced I will run away as I will either be buying a complete junk or a stolen item. Even Midex who is a reputable car dealer can confirm that the price of the car @ 1.6m is not bad at all. Anybody willing to buy should go ahead and pay after conducting a satisfactory inspection.

I believe you want to sell this van, please be guided that posting the following will help you to sell your vehicles on time:

- Enough info about the vehicle: name, model year, and all the stuff
- state if it's new or already registered
- the almighty VIN especially for vehicles not used in nigeria
- clean and clear interior and exterior pictures
- current mileage
- engine and transmission condition (and any known faults)
- Quote a fair price based on the condition of the vehicle
- take it or leave it: some sort of boast about your vehicle like the auto gurus do on nairaland. Market it with your words, it sure works.

Well I said all these because I'm looking for a van for my wife and Chevrolet Venture is not a bad idea.

Just got my new sweet baby: 2005 honda accord (v6 + navigation). I keep falling in love with it daily.

Sadly, it didn't come with the all important owner's manual!

I have laboured on the net searching for downlodable copies for two days. The best I could get is a .pdf (adobe) file that you have to manually download one page after another which is quite tasking for manual running over one hundred pages. Consider the time and network connectivity!

I therefore request for anyone that has a copy I can photocopy from or a link from which I can download a single file. I do not also mind buying a clean copy if available.
