Roland17: There are strong rumors that Arsenal is negotiating a contract extension with him in the middle of the season. We have achieved absolutely nothing and Worsestill, the core of this team are at the peak of their careers but somehow, we can’t get over the hump. We are constantly getting out-coached in these games.
After 7 years, and the amount of money we have spent and the level of control he has, we should be winning trophies each season. I keep saying it, Arteta hasn’t proven me wrong since he joined. Winning the EPL isn’t going to be enough, we should have secured at least one by now.
Tuesday is in 2 days, I hope we can mentally bounce back from yesterday’s defeat. I sincerely hope it remains as a rumor because that is something that could trigger fan reaction. We might be heading to the last days of Wenger era all over again. I personally, expects more from this team, we have a lot of our players in their prime and still nothing to show for it? That’s something we need to address even if it means changing management to achieve that. Look at the Bayerns, the Madrids and Even Barca, they don’t leave achievements for the players alone. They demand the same for whomever they appoint as a manager and if he fails, they move on from him just the way when a players flops, he goes straight to the bench. Unfortunately Arsenal is operating a different model entirely. A player might be shit and he would still be played week-in week-out, a manager might Fvck up and he will still be assured of his job. Something has to give in at this point. |

Season ending we will need to review his position at the club.
Whether we win the league or not, we must review it.
He is the most comfortable manager in the league and that needs to stop if the club wants to achieve high standards.
Our focus now is on Tuesday, I expect to see a ruthless manager that benches anybody papa wey no want up their game.
I expect to see a team that is out for blood not that rubbish we played yesterday. |

mine3112: I concur to your submission. He doesn't know how to rotate players when it matters most but injury forced him to play some certain players which they may lack match fitness due to inactive. He needs to leave regardless of league trophy. If you are referring to today’s match, we had no business losing today. No excuse is sufficient enough. |

daveP: The Norgaard buy is vexing me. I can't fathom a manager getting a b2b player of the season from bis own club and refusing to let him have at least 30% game time of total games available to play. What then is the buy for? I no even wan hear the Sporting Director vs Manager preference talk sef. E don dey ground, USE HIM.
How manager go dey see wetin Zubi dey play b2b in big games and still trust him. For context, he has benched players that did crap in one big 6 game in the past. A final here and 90mins is no enough to factor in such a midfielder that can tackle and make sweet through passes in a jiffy?
He had Nwaneri and Norgaard he no wan use unless injury but he suddenly wants Max but can't trust the kid? Same for MLS. No be 19yo Kanu dey tear top defenders that year? I wish he was more braver and proactive as he was at that Everton game. Remove anyone that’s playing rubbish, put game changers on as quickly as possible. It is what it is sha. |

Just thought about yesterday’s game again.
I believe Norgaard coming on for Zubi would have unlocked man city.
He has that ability to give that overhead pass or that forward transition passes unlike Zubi.
I can count how many times Zubi kept giving backwards passes instead of that line breaking passes. |

iamoyindamola: You too Arteta job is to arrange the players, kepa killed us We had the first half and couldn't take chances Trafford made triple saves 3 o Saka shouldn't be starting again but kepa is today scape goat Look at Guardiola formation today. It required in game management to adapt to the game. Arteta got in wrong. Whether Raya should have started or not, was immaterial at that point. So, yes, for today, it’s on the coach. I’m still backing the team to win the premier league though. |

This is on Arteta.
Calafiori suppose come in immediately after 1st half.
Trosaard no deserve to play up until 80 minutes. He was shit. No threat.
Saka is so non challant and lazy. Cannot beat his man through out the whole game. Madueke suppose come in earlier.
Kepa was Kepa. Mentally fragile with slow reaction.
He was just holding unto the ball without proper distribution making us to be undo too much pressure.
It’s true, Raya suppose start.
Kudos to Saliba, Gabriel and Rice. The rest was rubbish.
Again, it’s all on Arteta. Him suppose remove players quickly especially those playing rubbish, him just want to defend and defend when him know say our keeper no too good.
Guardiola press us high and it paid off. Congratulations to them. |

About Partey/Zubi debate.
I like Parteys’ composure but prefer Zubi reliability.
For Context; Only Van Dijk has played more minutes that Zubi in the premier league this season. So, yeah, Fatigue might have a role in his decline.
Arteta is already managing his minutes, he should be fine anytime soon.
Having said that, I’m a bit concerned about Sundays game but I don’t want our guys to be.
I want them to play with confidence and I want those UK fans to turn up for them.
It’s going to be a nervy game, but I see us coming up top.

germaphobe: Earlier in the season my most impressive summer signing was Zubimendi, man gave his all and played so fuccking good I never missed Partey. Now, he looks average but still gets it done. Hincapie always showed he's a raw diamond and now he's up and steady at the back. Madueke,I believed it was a good deal for someone who's coming in as a back up, and even though he's been off and on, I still appreciate his game. Mosquera is a beauty to watch and still has a lot to go from. Norgaard has impressed me with the few minutes he's got, I wonder why he still doesn't get enough pkay time. Eze is finally getting it together. Last two games has shown a great change in his game ,I wish to see more from him cus I know it's there. Gyokeres to be honest, I didn't expect so much from him, but the hype around us needing a traditional 9 made the hopes so high. Now he ain't even scoring the type of goals everyone expected of him, nor turning up in games like the media and fans made it look like he would. I still wish he scores important goals for us. Aside from the two goals he have on Everton, he hasn't scored a winner or a game changing goal(i might be wrong tho). I feel like his first season is just mirror symmetry to kai's first season. But then kai scored more game changing goals. Ps: Kai is still my favourite most not loved Arsenal player. It’s wierd how Kai grew on me. He is not the most sleeky of a player, but I like the fact that he is very dangerous. He seems like a lucky player. Someone that can be at the right place, at the right time to kill you off. That’s what I like about him. |

BlueRayDick: Na Mumu agenda.
At least 10 of the 16 assists they are using to push Bruno Agenda for player of the season came from corner kicks. Yet their fans will come to this thread to be chastising us about taking advantage of Corner kicks to win matches.
I am glad the EPL already set precedent with 2020/21 season when Reuben Dias was awarded EPL best player as a defender who contributed immensely to Man City's triumph.
When Arsenal wins the EPL this season and Gabriel Apatapiti is named EPL's best player, I will relish the salty tears of rival fans who would argue tooth and nail telling us how Bruno or Halland should win the award instead.
Come to think of it, if they won't want to look at the position the teams finished on the log but consider the player's ability and contribution especially how they carried the team; Igor has a better claim to player of the year than Bruno sef. That was the same argument I had in mind. If we are to go by their logic, then Igor Thiago of Brentford also deserves it. The year Company, a defender won it, Van Persie was on fire for us. Last last na just agenda, especially as we are almost certain of winning the league. They just want to take something from us. |

Shout to Arteta. That was the bravest I’ve seen of him since his Arsenal era.
The subs were spot on. Trusting a 16 year old kid to change the game for him.
He got the line up right, took more risk by tweaking the formation.
Kudos to Calafiori for that world class save.
Shout out to Eze, his best performance bar Tottenham in an Arsenal shirt. He was very offensive, creating threats and giving sublime passes.
Special shout out to Dowman the Badman!

daveP: MLS is key for our creativity in this UCL KO stages. Its time for him to return to the lineup, but in midfield. He's that risk taker that clicks down the middle, can't be bullied off the ball as well. That PSG game made everyone realize he was a gem. Will coachie take that risk so we can get goals early. Can't imagine us struggling to get a goal for 90mins on UCL nights just cos approach is stiffling everyone in attack, starters or subs.
Get MLS on abeg. It would be nice if MLS plays the number 6 role with Rice mentoring him. He is a risk taker but also rash sometimes, that is where Rice comes in. Zubi don tire well, na Timber I dey pity self, baba was forced to play FA cup because white no want just dey fit at all. Him and Calafiori. |

germaphobe: Everyone at the club knows Saka isn't turning up as expected, that's true. But Saka is not the kind of player you allow his contract to run down before making an attempt, cus a lot of clubs are monitoring the process. Today he wasn't convincing especially after the restart, just like in some other games. But there are also games where even though he didn't score nor assisted, he played good. I believe it is a matter of time and form, but then till when ... I think Saka deserves grace. I remember how we complained about the number of games he was playing at that young age. He has over 300 at 24 caps now. He is also, affected by that harmstring injury he had last year, I think he is trying to be cautious because of the upcoming WC. He was awful in our last match, but he can be excused. |
