Xhaka first instinct with the ball is to try and find Auba, and Auba lately is most times man marked. His next instinct is to sideways or backwards. Ceb plays very deep too, same as Partey. Our wingers are most time isolated reason they drop deep.

You can't expect Auba to look good on the wings, baba no sabi use ball like that or average at best, everyone knows he's a CF.

Atleast Saka tries.

Sanchez in his days will drop deep, win ball himself, drive to the middle,cuts to his right foot, make runs to the box, shoots and does everything the likes of Mane and Sterling are doing.

Wing football requires energy and mobility, its not for the softies.
Also Wingers need support of AM and CF, and full backs.

We were already losing, what was the worst that could have happened if we introduced Ozil? Inversely, what is the best that could have happened if he came in with 10 minutes to go.

Reason why Auba/Laca will continue to be a scam upfront, and 7 Parteys will not move Arsenal to UCL.

When a team sits deep it’s still very difficult to break them down with a good creative player on to be fair. What you need to do is run at defenders and make them have to make challenges, no defender in the world wants players running at them( Now who does this at Arsenal? Everyone on the attacking front bar Saka is bereft of idea or talented to use the ball well, their first instinct is to pass it to the left or back, hence the drab football) Add some give and go’s while running and you can create space and chances.

What we do is let a team sit deep and then we just move the ball side to side and put in the odd cross. Unless Fabregas is playing you aren’t going to find space for a through ball with 10 men behind the ball. Hence why we get the ball wide(slowly) and then just pass back and repeat...

BTW, Ozil's vision and pass will only work against teams leaving much space at the back.

I mentioned it even when we were winning that we need an AM and DM going into the TW. I also mentioned we hardly dominate big teams even when we won and we’ll soon be found out.

I did same during Emery and I was asked to shut up that after all we are “grinding out result” we all saw how it ended.

I work with indices even in my personal life. I don’t wait for evil to befall before acting.
