afrodoc2: Xhaka is an activity former. His passing motion looks good but he never goes anywhere with it. Same with Willian. If you see the way Willian moves around the pitch like a gangster you would never believe that he has scored only 60 league goals in his 14 yr career.

Roland17: Before we forget, this past summer, Hertha Berlin offered to take Xhaka for 25M, the board was okay with it but guess who pleaded with and convinced Xhaka to stay? Arteta!
That decision meant sending Torreira/ Guen out of the team for this same Xhaka that offers this team absolutely nothing!
Yet, I should not critique Arteta? Or question some of his irrational decisions making? This decision was the red flag for me, I knew he would fail with that singular thing he it. I think it was even around £34M. The no1 Emery deserved the sack was extending Xhaka's contract and avoiding Elneny, I was like didn't you see Nzonzi at Sevilla? Saw Verrati,Motta at PSG, yet Ebening made him captain, then I understood Xhaka dey use serious Jazz. For me, decision to retain/sell Xhaka at Arsenal has been a true test of a coach who understands football and would stay long at the Emirates. Also The emergence of Xhaka ended Wenger. |

Spy360: Xhaka red card is a blessing in disguise. Nevertheless if we lose this match, Arteta should start packing his bags. For all his tactical noose, he is a poor decision maker. I was a staunch advocate of him becoming our manager but he clearly doesn't understand the job. I can now say he is worse than Emery. Ah worse than ebening ke Well, Arterta could also bring Lazio to top4 in Italy if given the right platform and enabling environment just as Emery is enjoying life in Spain. Arsenal could be the problem, don't forget the problems like I've been saying is depper. |

pazienza: Yes. Our main problem has been poor recruitment over the past years. We lost Carzola, Ramsey, Roscisky, Wilshere, Sanchez, these are creative players and were not properly replaced. There are quality players out there one doesn't need to break the bank to have. You just need quality recruitment team. IMO, the bolded takes 60% of Arsenal's problem |

Spy360: Why do you always misconstrue statements? FYI all the players you listed are currently doing well and having first team action in the different clubs they joined. I didn't say they are bad, I meant Arsenal didn't upgrade well on them. When Klopp sold players he brought in better players and most of them for an average,/lesser fee. |

Jodera: I'm not sure about the bolded.. Arsene Wenger was getting outdated as almost all the modern managers in the league were outwitting him.
It seems you've forgotten we finished 6th at his last season with us. I laugh when people say Wenger would do wonders with this team, maybe the Wenger of early years not the one that finished 6th, the league was easier then maybe they forgot. I think Arsenal didn't upgrade on the departures of the f.f: Monreal,( Kola should have been sold and Tierney made the 1st choice). Koscienly- Luiz was not an upgrade Iwobi Welbeck Ramsey Mhyickytyrn |

mostob: You're misquoting me. Apart from his football ability, Sanchez was a leader at arsenal. He always had the desire and drive to win. Now, there is our black panther wannabe captain that can not offer anything on both front. I've always hated Auba's style and attitude, I wanted Emery to sell and use the funds to purchase Diogo Jota and Inaki Williams of Atlectico Bilbao..but Arsenal fans were scared to lose Auba.. I told them Liverpool sold Suarez and Coutinho and reinvested well. Why not follow suit until baba extended contract and begin to dey act careless on the pitch. |

Jodera: me I watched Sanchez play the season before he left and also the season he left, he was massively flopping for us. That arsenal he left is 3x better than this one, so there's nothing he can do to for now.
Maybe if you say Sanchez-esque type of player, I'll agree, but Sanchez himself.. No no no!!
Forget all the analysis guys are talking about Sanchez, this Sanchez will do nada at arsenal. It seems we forgot how frustrating Sanchez was to us before departing. If you did forget, me I remember oo Sanchez will only come for retirement package like Willian.. Maybe the Justarsenal people meant Sanchez esque. |

Immediately i saw that line-up, i decided not to watch again.
BTW, Auba should be put up for sale. the bolded is funny. I've always defended coaches and blame players too, but I know Arterta will fail by cancelling Xhaka's move to Herta Berlin.. Just like I knew deep down on Emery using Xhaka a lot. Even everything capitulated when Wenger brought in Xhaka. He infects everyone with his slow and side passes football, it makes the midfield so dead. |

iamoyindamola: Let's face the truth Arteta won't lead us anyway, he's a puppet Dancing to the tune of the board that will sack him later He better resign before it's too late or he play his own players and game Something tells me Arterta just want to win those carabao/Fa cups. Its quite easier, play 6/7 games mostly against low sides and sit back tight and attack against top teams. It'll buy him time and support from lots of fans. Mouriho used to to that a lot. |

Roland17: Baba, critiquing Arteta does not mean we hate him, it does not mean we want him fired, it does not mean we don’t support him. We loved him as a player, more as a captain, an ambassador of the club and now a coach. That does not mean we should continue to shield him from obvious mistakes without honest feedbacks.
I want Arteta to succeed and I know most Arsenal fans want him to so I don’t understand this construed idea that critiquing Arteta after a year of shielding him means we hate him. I am tired of these losses and don’t condone mediocrity.
As an Arsenal fan especially one who knows the history of this club, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to condone a loss against Spuds!! I don’t care but not against Spuds..There is absolutely no excusable reason that justifies a loss to Spuds even in a 4 aside.. that is the extent of the rivalry that makes the game what it is...
Maybe I am just too old schooled. Your criticism analysis is spot on,I like reading fans not condoning mediocrity, that's how top fans do, I want to believe Chelsea and utd are up there because they give it hot to their coach players and management. Its like everyone is relaxed at Arsenal until fans begin to boycott games, protest and make the club lose money. No wonder Morinho once said Wenger had s dream job, the Job at Arsenal is easy. Imagine Chelsea sacked Sarri after winning Europa, losing carabao final to city and finishing 3rd. Utd sacking Mourinho after winning 3 trophies in a year. I'm not calling for sacking o, but I want an Arsenal who from the fans to the players and board want to win every game and bin that #Process talk Wenger scammed us with. Btw, I used to think Only UK fans hate spurs this much. |

Roland17: Arteta.. I need you to listen carefully.
I don’t care if Spuds are competing for the title and we are battling relegation.. I don’t care if it is in the EPL, Cup or street ball, losing to Spuds is not an option to me.
WE CAN NOT LOSE ON SUNDAY!!! I already read some Arsenal fans saying " What is so special in losing to league leaders? I won't be surprised to read " Tottenham are good and finshied project and Arsenal are still rebuilding. BTW, I like the bolded, this is the spirit, and not we created much chances today yamayama talk. |
]I think you guys are construing strong criticism of Arteta to imply anyone is asking for his head. I don’t think anyone on this thread is remotely asking for Arteta to be fired.. that would be ridiculous but I am in support of giving him some critical feedback because for a while, Infact since he got hired, we have excused some of his obvious tactical mistakes and blamed players especially this season.
I know Arteta was not my first choice before we hired Ebening, neither was he was choice after Ljunberg but I support the guy 100% and desperately hope he succeeds because I am aware of the rot he inherited.
Thank you bro, I was beginning to get sick of the Fa cup and Charity cup trophy reasons, Teams who didn't strengthen as Arsenal in the window are playing better and doing fine on the table.
I read Chelsea fans almost asking for Lampard's sack just because they were far below in the table earlier in the season, and they were not giving him the excuse of he got them to UCL last season without any major signing in his first TWindow, To me, that's big or bigger than a cup trophy, similar with Ole at utd, so you can smell mediocrity and high standard from the 3 fans.
I don't want my Arsenal so down in the league and only doing fine against farmers in Europa and cup games. I cannot cope, cooperate, endure or understand.
Btw, I don't have much issue with Arterta just like I hadn't with Emery and ljumberg. I just want him do away with trashy players from the first eleven or the team entirely.
I don't want contract extension for deadwoods, or appearing like he's okay/confident in them.
But I'll agree with the Let the season end before we can start strong criticism. |
