there was a time we didn’t have Sanchez and Ozil. The period when we weren’t making big, experienced signings. We weren’t this bad.!!

Mind you, Sanchez left in January we still coped. These days we can’t even beat Mid-table clubs. We had Giroud and we were beating them comfortably, Emery has Laca and Auba and our attack looks impotent.
The league wasn't this hard then, we had Rosciky, carzola, wilshere, oxlade,Walcott, coq, koscienly, who had qualities good enough to survive those days and get top4...

NOooo, the mom Sanchez left, we didn't win any away game till last day in the league against Huddersfield.

For me, I'll continue to insist Auba and laca should compete and not be paired, one of then should be flanked with 2 quality wingers like in Liverpool and city..

Yes, they might have combined to score some goals, but the effect of that means we are short in the flanks and middle,
we had to rely on kola and Niles to create and defend all day..the mom Niles and kola who do not have enough energy to run up and down the pitch bump forward, that means we have Auba, laca, kola,Nile and ozil upfield..

And you know Opposition will outrun xhaka easily, bully guen and Lucas, so we have them in numbers against our old defenders.

So with wingers who can constantly push opposition back, midfielders who can control and hold the ball confidently, the defense won't be under pressure and every thing will balance.

1,was there a time in Arsenal when Ozil was physically strong?
2, how many games did Ozil start in EPL this season
3, how did the team play without him?
4, how did we play with him?
5, win rates with and without him?
Then you have ur answer.
1,Ozil was a bit stronger when he came 5 years ago, we saw some agility then, but now he's done and can't cope in English football anymore.

2, I don't know, but the little time bellerin, welbeck and holding featured we saw their effort.

3, No difference, since him and our orther attackers can't do what modern quality attackers do.

4,we were soft, passes here and there and had no physicality, penetration and ruthlessness.

5, same with 3.

how many games did Ozil start 2nd half of this season?
what has been the difference btw when he payed and when he didn’t.?

Compare the team play, attack intent, off and on the ball movement of Wenger managed team with Emery. Not forgetting Wenger played most of his later years with youths and inexperienced players.
Ozil is our biggest AM and we rely on him to wreck havoc like the debruyne,Silva,Eriksson, Winaldum and host of others, we shifted mhicky, carzola, iwobi to accommodate him...
Emery switched to using our CMs in his position in his absence..
We only looked better with Wenger because of a Sanchez, Sanchez was the man doing the attacking, off the ball and what have you, the mom he left, we became so insipid and started losing away games

.....There are posts here that I expect someone of your calibre not to reply to. You just overlook them and move on.

....Now, I don't agree with the bolded. Arsenal had 21.5% conversion rate for last season, the highest and deadliest of any EPL team in the league. So, while our strikers miss unexplainable sitters, they are not the problem. The problem is that they are the only one scoring with Ramsey far behind their goals with six goals. Imagine that Bellerin who was injured months ago was still up there with one of the highest assists in the club last season with six assists which says a lot about our attacking players especially one Oloriburuku that thinks he is still invincible.

....If Salah and Mane are not scoring, Van Dirk or Firmino or Origi or someone else will the do the scoring, same with other big teams in the league. I am glad we have put in a formal bid for one tall leganes striker like that; he can dribble and can actually head the ball well. But we also need a good crosser of the ball too. We need a different outlet in case both strikers are not doing the job or perhaps one of them is leaving.
The system we play and with the caliber of players we had towards the end of the season requires Auba/ laca to save the day..
Ozil, iwobi and mhicky doesn't score or not enough..

It means We rely on wing backs, and midfielders to get the ball to our strikers to score...
Our strikers should know they are our only hope, no one else looks like can score..
So Auba/ and laca though did well, but that attitude of of joking about after scoring 1 or 2 goals they scored like Drake frustrates, while they are aware we have no scores nor defenders.

That's what I felt is the reason we don't win convincingly that kokane asked.

There’s something wrong with this team if yall think Ozil is the problem then yall are on a long thing.

When was the last time we won a game convincingly with or without Ozil.?

Wenger in his last years at Arsenal didn’t have the kind of armoury Emery has, yet never lost games like pure water, or play drab football like we see.

If Ozil says he’s not a coach there’s an atom of truth.

Cos something is fundamentally wrong with this Arsenal I see lately.
The team has many issues and Ozil is part of the major problems..
The problems can be summed into 3 which are: Mental, physicality and technical know how.
Ozil though has football brain but mental and physical issues.
If ozil goes and we replace him with another sexy soft boy,we are back to square 1.
The reasons we don't win convincingly are:, our strikers aren't deadly and ruthless enough, the mom Auba scores 2 goals,he starts feeling like Lil Wayne, whereas you see Kane, son,Aguero,Costa,Sallah,Ronaldo et Al, play like they want to score 5 goals in every game, they are never satisfied even from their faces.

We lack penetrators, we possess over and over with zero purpose, that's the reason we struggle to score goals in games, except only cases where team gives us space.

I was telling a friend who said Liverpool will outrun Spurs at the middle. I laughed because sissoko and wanyama will bully those Liverpool midfielders. They are so good in stopping attacks and bullying opponents
That's what they said against City and Ajax, it is true Liverpool will give them hot,but spurs've got what it takes to resist and battle them, abi no be wanyama and sissoko wey I see against city?

This is final, spurs won't respect Liverpool, nor capitulate like our dear softy gunners..

If you check recent scores between them,it has been tight, Liverpool are favorites, but spurs I bet won't die unless it be in a martyrdom way.

The lads just embarrassed themselves to the whole world yesterday, virtually every football fans were watching us.
If you listen or read from the neutrals' reaction to the game, you'll see they are just confirming the facts we spew here..
Some call Auba average, not hot enough and sorts of names..
I said it here Auba deserves to face the heat, they said what else do we want him do? That he has done all required of him.
Ozil started in this fashion, he divided the fans, and his sins were ( record signing and a big name player)...

Now Auba has started to divide the fans, some fans can't cope with the several chances he's missing and not contributing anything, while some forgive and forget the mom he scores. He's our record signing and deserves to face the heat.
There's a reason fans love Carzola and Rosciky despite not having great stats and trophies. Fans aren't divided on them.

Let even forget about the final,we lost UCL football in the league..
Now Auba's penalty loss at spurs has cost us,fans like me won't forget, that penalty means we would have finished ahead of spurs and level on point with Chelsea...

Xhaka's penalty foul, cost us another 2 points, and this are our senior men o.

I can write so many issues surrounding this FC.

when I was watching Chelsea vs Frankfurt, I was hoping Chelsea lost. But people including arsenal fans shouting all English final. I just dey laugh grin
As that first goal enter, I knew those guys will concede more. Bunch of imps. Them no even get shame. That Niles useless no be small. Na only arsenal you will see players have thesame problem ans they wont improve to correct it. Niles easily loses concentration. Look at that giroud tackle. It was unnecessary. But lack of concentration finished the idiot. Dude should be sold this summer. God, I miss bellerin. See that useless chicken called kola, you could see him shaking under small pressure and losing the ball to his opponents, and this kept happening to the extent he was targeted. The brainless mofo could not find a way to wriggle out of pressure even if his life depends on it. Always looking for the nearest man thereby losing the ball to wrong passes. The players arsenal parade ehn angry angry
You've said it all, Napoli,Valencia and rest don't know how to play Arsenal, they leave space and take it easy on us, Arsenal on their day will beat teams coming with a pattern similar to ours, but A Chelsea team who parade typical Premiership players, will bully, run us ragged and leave no space for us..

I can't trust ozil, auba Niles et al against hard teams, spurs were the first to beat Chelsea this season, I saw the game and you need to see how segue Aurier and sissoko were going hard on hazard, those 2 were too strong, hot and Mobile for him and that killed Chelsea's attack..Huen Son was busy running joginho and luiz to the last battery in them..
Do not forget how Mousaa Dembele bossed midfield for the spurs, now sissoko and wanyama are sure to give Liverpool some hard fight again.
The likes of Niles,Xhaka, ozil and Auba can't cut it when it gets tough.

The mom Giroud scored, I lost hope,we were never going to do Liverpool & spurs come back.

As for kola, I want him outta the club asap, poor at defending, average going forward, all he wants to do is cut back for Tap in for Auba.. Imagine zaha in his position.

The players we parade are a disgrace.

....Bro, at the moment, Tottenham and us no be mate. See, this team has limited players who are even average in the first place and that doesn't help the coach in tweaking plans. Once, our midfield was getting overrun, as a fan, Look at our bench and tell me the player you would have brought in to strengthen the midfield. Look at Kante who was not 100% fit, bullying us and running nonstop while Torreira looked like he wanted to faint. Our players are either too lazy or don't have the strength anymore or don't have the intelligence required to play football.

.....Ozil showed the whole world what he was truly made of yesterday, no sane person can tell me he has anything to give Arsenal anymore. If we had Mkhi in his place yesterday, that match could have been different but then we have two strikers who miss sitters too.

.... Both strikers playing together will surely stop next season if at all they are still here.

...Bro, forget that thing. We can't afford those players especially with the fact that we are not in the champions League. We will surely make signings to cover our weaknesses but I can bet you most of those signings won't be known names. We are going after unknown players now unless we sell one of our strikers for big bucks.
The bolded is the summary of our "player's problem " Torreira maybe intelligent and ambitious, but he doesn't have the kante engine, why do you think Emery subs him off a lot..English teams are too energetic this days..

We have lazy players in OZIL,Aubameyang, kolasinac, xhaka and mhicky.

No strength anymore: Mhicky,Koscienly,Monreal,Sokratis ,litchtener, cech and Aubameyang

Not intelligent enough:, Xhaka,Kolasinac, mustafi,( fairly Iwobi),El neny and Niles..

Address the above, and we'll be up there with Liverpool and spurs..

I do not mean we bring in those players in particular, but players in that mould, Emery should go to LA liga, French ligue, bundesliga and south American leagues, you'll find talented, ambitious players with good physical and mental strength.

My fear is Emery will retain most of this lads and add just little in the summer.

..... It's inevitable, one of those useless strikers must and will go this summer. We need funds badly because even if we manage to sell ten players, getting 50m for them will be a miracle. Arsenal is filled with useless and worthless players from defense to midfield. Those strikers are our only assets and we must sell to compete for top four next season.

...Ozil is done. The day I see him in the first team again at Arsenal that's if he doesn't get dumped out of the club this summer will be the day I will stop watching Arsenal. I will simply move to another club. I can't stand that man anymore. Thank God, people are finally seeing the fraud that he is. Dude will play nonsense and then send Jerseys to kids in Africa to cover the fact that he is now a leach feeding Arsenal dry. Send him to the reserves should he refuse to leave, perhaps destroying what's left of his dignity will set his head straight.

....The other day, Anthony on Brilla said that Niles is not a player that should even be on the bench for Arsenal and I argued with him but yesterday he showed his true quality. I am ashamed of this team because even if most of the players are championship qualities, can't they fight? Why can't the captain walk up to Niles after his first mistake leading to goal and speak some encouraging words to him? The guy will just be looking like a dunch instead of encouraging the team.

..... Emery is right; we need fighters and everything must be done to get him players that will die on the pitch for the jersey. for the badge. for the fans, and not some sissies who were dominated by Christensen of all people. I see big changes coming and since Emery is on his second and last contract, he will be desperate. Heads will roll and egos will be crushed. No manager can survive with a team without a midfield or defense. No single ball recycler in midfield and not one winger who can take people on. Zaha or Ziyech should be top priority for us this summer. I don't want any Alexis Maurice here, we need proven players.

.... I still can't believe I left Liverpool all those years ago to come support a club filled with sissies but no wahala, e go better. Fhalifa was right, Tottenham are a better run club than us presently. They would have done much better than we did yesterday.
They knew spurs are better but ego won't allow them admit it, I ask will Chelsea run and bully spurs like that? I respected spurs when they stood against city, The pressure city mounted on them was to hot, any team that survives that is a lion squad..

After going down 1-0, the Tottenham I know will force Chelsea to pack the bus and or lose honourably..

All this Aubameyang and lacazzete world class combination na sakamanje, combination that couldn't get 4th nor win a atrophy, even Sanchez and ozil won trophies in their prime and got top4..

I said play one and sit one on the bench, which top teams play 2 CF, which winning team doesn't have a winger, Sanchez at his prime would have done stuffs, iwobi that looks like a winger came in and exposed Chelsea's defence, let them compete and not romance and playing about we see, but everyone seem to be carried away by their dramas..

Guendozi, willock and iwobi did more than ozil, but some are still thinking ozil is still the Madrid's best 10 of those days..

This summer will prove if Emery has learnt his lessons or not, if he can't bring in the zaha, doucoure and sidibe then he's another Wenger in progress.

The moment I saw Chelsea in the finals, I began to fear, an average English team knows how to beat Arsenal when it gets to big stage..
.Rough them up,run at them with blistering pace, score them first and we are sure to capitulate...

Valencia and Napoli allowed us space to do our thing, but English team? Even Wolves will beat us yesterday, we'll struggle to beat Bright..

The reason is not farfetched, we parade lazy, immobile, soft and weak players..

Tell me if Tottenham's midfield and defense will allow pedro, hazard, william, giroud and kovacic bully and run pass them easily?

Tell me if spurs will capitulate after that giroud's goal? I knew it was over after the first goal, we lacked the mental fitness and quality personel as found in spurs and Liverpool to give me hope we can turn things around..

Not even pep or klopp will coach this bunch to success..

Chelsea weren't spectacular, they were just stronger, mobile and faster than us in all areas...

I kept saying I'm tired of seeing all this gbegiri sexy boys, we need rugged men,but many are swayed away by the fine faces sweet goals and the sakamanje they see once a while.

I was never confident with this lads doing it, I just prayed we do it even if e be fluke.

I'm happy many have come to see the problems of this club.

Nobody should buy that shakushaku player for 50m. He's had a big move to man utd that didn't work out, there's no assurance his next big move will work out. Abeg let him move from one mid table team to the other.....Arsenal shouldn't be wasting money on some home grown players at this stage. I prefer buying outside the league cos all these league players are overhyped beyond their abilities and priced way too high than what they can do on the pitch
Zaha of those days at utd is different from what we see today, it's normal we doubt him and assume he us just a mid table quality, but I've observed its better you get in players who already understands the league..

I'll take the risk and get him, zaha is sure not to get lazy, he's got power, pace, hot shots, agility and desire to win at all cost, which is lacking among most of our attackers..

City brought in Sterling, mahrez,Walker, delph, stones and are about to get Maguire from the league..

Liverpool also with v.dijk,Mane,Xhakiri, oxlade and winaldum..

Spurs have wanyama and sissoko

Since that Kante to Chelsea against our signing of xhaka ,I've always preferred from the league..Someone who's used to or can fit into the league matters a lot in this hardest league of ours..

If Emery doesn't like him, then they can get Carrasco and ziyench for £25 each, instead of signing any lazy, fearful sexy boys who will come and start doing one touch soft side/ back passes .

Ziyech over Zaha, both better even if we have be to sell half the squad. So much uselessness to go round.

We need another CB to replace Mustafi. A quality one, not another Mustafi. If we are not sure, then let Mustafi. At least he can deputise at RB as a utility player.

Give Martinez a chance now that Cech is gone. If we are not sure of him, release the guy let him go and have his career. Being 3rd choice at that age is bad. Besides, he isn't bad from what I have seen.

Keep Nielson, Rowe, Nketiah, Saka, in the first team squad. Give youth a chance, na their mate full for Ajax.

I think Zaha deal doesn't worth it, if I'm to guess we should be paying almost 40million pounds , when carrasco could come for less. I say Hakim Ziyech is the major goal self. Spend the rest of the money on other areas. We desperately need a defender, right and left back(bellerin will still get injured again, just the reality) midfielder two self cos torreria need back up, another striker wouldn't be bad. Give young ones like Rowe, Nelson opportunity .
Zaha with chambers and Nelson will be worth it, we need his type in the team, A rugged, physical, pacy, trickish and ugly cheat like zaha on that flank will scare even the city defence. Chambers is average and Nelson is a gamble..
Feels good we are linked with him Carrasco and ziyech, they aren't far from what we can afford.

You still don’t get it. How popular was his career before and after Arsenal. Compared with when he was in Arsenal. That’s how you’ll know who actually did more for the other.

You haven’t read where I said he didn’t play well cos I will never say such.

The point is Arsenal helped him become popular and he didn’t sacrifice anything for the club. He left just like RVP when we needed him most and won’t be remembered. This is evident if you follow Arsenal on Social media you’ll realize they don’t send these two. Shikena!!!
He played and earned his wages nothing out of the ordinary.
The popularity of his career was fairly okay,to have been bought and played with the xavi, iniesta barca team says a lot...
I watched him single handedly score a brace for Chile against England in a friendly at Wembley.. He was also hot at the world cup..
At that point, any of the top4 teams in England could have made him popular..
Fans on social media are too emotional, take away his last season with us drama, and everyone will be fine with him.

RvP was sold.

Sanchez left us.

Says it all.
Have you so forgotten the " little man in me" , story? he wanted to leave and his contract situation favoured us, RVP was our biggest player then, we needed him but he insisted on going and we sold him..
It was Wenger's style to sale anybody with ego..

They both wanted to leave for ambitious reasons,Contract situation was the only difference.

Unlike RVP, for me Sanchez should be forgotten.

Arsenal did everything to keep him. Wenger allowed him freedom to play as he wants, that's why it looked like he was a good player. But Sanchez cost us a lot- his useless dribbling, losing the ball at dangerous points. Exposing our defense.

He has his good side though, like his work rate, assists (Ozil made far more assists during the same period), and goals.

The worst part is that, he left to a worse club, he killed a dying United, won nothing, achieved nothing, is leaving like a lost fool(forgive me).
I disagree, V.persie grew under us, He was tutored by the Igwe, bergkamp,KANU et al, he was fortunate to grow under one of best ever EPL players..
He had injuries year in year out, we could have sold him to fernabache and that could have been his end, how many clubs will be patient for such injury prone player?
He plays in August/sept and gbam he sustains a season ending injury....
We had him for 2 full seasons which he he did superb and rewarded by joining utd in his prime...

Sanchez on the other hand was a rising star like niklas pepe in udinese or dembele at Dortmund, joined the biggest team in barca, shone at the world cup and chose us ahead of Liverpool.

He only spoiled show in his last year with us,with his childish antics..
I wouldn't blame him, he wanted what we the fans wanted, he clearly felt his team mates are too lazy, insipid and boring, he doesn't play the Wenger ball, he was energy personified.
He went in search for that at city and utd,but his time was up.
