It's alright, but I am through with my application since late May. I have been told by my study center to come anytime from tomorrow for my verification and matric no.

The update doesn't affect that. You can go to your Study Centre. But I don't think issuing of matriculation number have commenced for the semester.

That's the issue now
Full investigation should be launched

They haven't investigated yet they have called the girl a forger and criminal. This is evil.

That girl has passed through a lot of trauma for this. I even heard JAMB called DSS for her. Nawa o

I am angry.

Angry because Nigeria has already happened to Mmesoma at such a tender age.

How do you condemn somebody when you haven't even investigated what you accused the person of.

I keep saying that she is too young to forge result or even ask for a result to be forged.

Even if JAMB pays for this damage, Mmesoma and the family won't forget this trauma they are currently going through.

In a controversial video, a female student of a Nigerian polytechnic is arguing that she will earn 200,000 monthly as her first salary in she gets hired into the civil service.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t66DkQl0j50

Dear folks in the house, please can anyone confirm if what she is saying in the video is accurate?

How much does the federal and state civil service pays entry level workers at grade level 8?

Level 8 gets less than 150k

Education / Re: Anambra UTME Fraud: ‘Let The Poor Breathe’, Innoson Motors’ Tells JAMB by Fkj2021: 11:38am On Jul 03, 2023
I said it yesterday that this girl is not responsible for it. Just imagine a 16 years old girl telling you or anyone else to forge her result? E make sense?

JAMB just rushed out and started assassinating the girl's image. If Nigeria doesn't happen to you, you will happen to Nigeria. This is not right. How do you sentence someone when you haven't even investigated? A thief is not guilty unless it has been proven.

I am still bothered.

She didn't carry out this act. She's too young to carry out that feat. Shey it's this same JAMB that once said snake swallowed millions in their office. But why are they now condemning someone when they haven't investigated if the result was forged or not.

Nevertheless, I won't take it away from Anambra that they are one of the best when it comes to education.

Kudos to Peter Obi for laying this educational Foundation. We all can be of witness that it has yielded alot of dividends to Anambrans.

happy to hear this and I'm so happy for you bro, keep winning and evolving in life.

Please how does Noun university conduct examination for their student. Can student sit for exam in the comfort of their home or is there any examination centre where they go to write exam?

100 level and 200 level do E-examinations (computer based and you have to be at the study centre)

300 level and above do Pen on Paper

There's also virtual examinations where you can sit at the comfort of your home or anywhere comfortable for you to write your exams. The disadvantage of this virtual examinations is that it is too fragile. Meaning that you can be easily be booked for examination malpractice. So I don't advice students to do virtual examinations.

Ok but I think exemption should be for people above 30yrs. What cld be the reason for their own?

NYSC have the notion that NOUN is a part time institution which is not true. NOUN have proved several times that it is not a part time institution and NYSC have even agreed but NYSC is still delaying to accept NOUN students for NYSC.

After graduation, you will be issued exemption letter by NYSC

I think the portal has been under maintenance for about a month now. I have been trying to apply for admission to no avail.

The portal maintenance is just 2 weeks now.

Major reason for the maintenance is to update it due to the recent policies and also to get it ready for the new semester. It should be expected to be opened this week.

I don't move with mediocres my beloved brother. They were my colleagues in the office. I was expecting you to ask why they all dropped out, but it's fine.

There are so many reasons why they dropped out:

1. They couldn't cope because they had tighter schedules that were more important than schooling

2. They couldn't meet up the fees

3. They had lot of carryovers and gave up

4. The system was too stringent for them.

Above are some of the reasons why they might have dropped out.

But you can still tell us why they dropped out. And you cannot also tell me that all your colleagues that got enrolled in NOUN dropped out unless your organization is one that discriminates and your colleagues don't know their rights when they are being discriminated against.

All the people I know that started NOUN education dropped out. I don’t know anyone dead or alive that graduated from that institution.

NOUN graduates more than 20000 students every year. Are you saying they are all dead? You have to mind the statement you put out

What if someone changes location within Nigeria from where he registered, will it affect his studies in anyway?

There are Study Centres in every state of the federation. So if you change location, you can change your Study Centre to the nearest centre in your new base.

NOUN is a good choice. It will allow you to work and same time learn. You just have to dedicate time to your studies so you can pass very well because you can't sort.

Dear Nairalanders, please, I want to Know who has used NOUN certificate or degrees to work in nigeria or outside Nigeria? Or who have been employed with Noun certificate before?

If you have gotten or know anyone that have gotten a job with degrees or Certificate from national Open University, please let me know.
I want to pursue a degree from that varsity. Am aware that their certificate is accepted and recognized worldwide... That is why I want to Know who have gotten a job using their certificate... Thanks!

Bros, this is the best decision you are about to make. Alot of individuals have used NOUN certificate go get good jobs, got upgraded to better positions, furthered outside the country. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. NOUN is a good institution that you cannot sort anybody to pass. You have to study and pass and when you graduate, you will be proud because you would have worked so hard for it.

Your advice pls at 29 to 30 some one is ready to marry you and also promise to train you in school, but you are not sure. And one of your relative said he will train you in school, and you are sure about it but on the conditions that you must let go of marriage issues. Which one will you go for

You can get married and at the same time go to school.

If marriage stress will be the problem, go to NOUN where you can attend to your family issues and same time take your time to learn.

Did you see the quality of the pitch that the match was played today. With such pitch it is always difficult to pass the ball very fuel so they had to resort to playing up ball
