Mine was last Saturday 11th of August, at the Abuja consulate. they took my SOA and gave two white papers. It has been on AP since.

Abuja consulate stopped functioning on that 14th bro

I told them I will come back to my job and put in for promotional positions because I work in a bank. Please what was I suppose to have said. Bro the truth is that they are tired of hiring this generic reason. Tell them simething like what your course of study will do for your bank. How you want to use this new knowledge and add positively to the growth of your banking system and rank top among other banks. Browse about banking systems. Banking is far from my field of interest so I cant say much about it. Post mock interviews for criticism and review here. Hope this will help in a way. Thanks.

I studied finance in my undergraduate here in Nigeria..but now..I want to dive into IT..so I want to apply to a community college in the US .. Wayne county community college cos they offer IT programs..I want to ask if it won't affect the chance of getting visa.

If I must advise you,leave community colleges and go for real universities. I can help u with schools.

Lol,bro chill. I do not think the problem is from your SOA. It is from the embassy themselve,am affected too. My interview was on august 15 but was rescheduled to an indefinite date due to a problem at the U.S embassy in abuja(is that where u applied?). Most likely,they will resume after the holiday which is on thursday next week. So my best opinion is for you to put God in this first,and report to your school today immediately about the problem if you have not.

Me.- went to imsu from 2000 to 2004 then after my nysc i enrolled into the ministry after which got
admisdion to a teological school from 2007 to 2011 after which i was ordained

Well,your transcript is okay but I must tell you it is not very strong. But that is not a very possible reason for denial. I think the sevis fee just ruined everything. Next time,pay it on time,I can help you. And pay it latest a week in advance to avoid isdues

This kind of thoughts when executed are the cause of problems why student visa is now hard to get. If you intend to work,please seek for a visa for that category,not under student visa. Stop getting things WRONG in this country. PLEASE!

pls bro how do Vo know about our sevis payment even without showing them receipt.

Well,it automatically appears on their system screen after two days. So if u just made the payment a day before ur interview,it will not reflect on their system and they may just use that as an excuse to deny you even if you provide a receipt. So next time,pay it in advance to avoid issues or if u pay so late,make sure to mail the sevis adminstration so that they will process it quickly,plead with them. So I ask again,when did u make the payment

When did u make the sevis payment? Maybe u didnt make d payment at the recommended time that it will reflect at the V.O system...Maybe he or she difnt see it that was why they asked for the receipt? So how many days before the interview did u make the payment

Go with the date that is available. God willing, you get approved, you can contact your school for a letter sort of to cover your arriving late at the POE.
Go to seme border, ecobank to pay your sevis fee. It updates quickly without stress. Hold ur naira for account to change to CFA before going to the bank and go with your passport also.
If you no sabi road, I can guide you. It's my hood.

I just received my I-20 for Fall 2018 admission today and am meant to resume this August 20, 2018...i haven't paid for SEVIS neither have i booked interview appointment date. Should i just defer to the next admission semester or can i still achieve resumption all things being equal?

Best thing is to defer it to avoid mistakes and disappointments,spring will soon arrive,then u can apply with proper preparation
