Most stories claimed it might be due to some system glitch, for some the status changed back to AP, for some it changed to issued.

But it's definitely an uncertain situation.

I have sent a mail to the Embassy, but there's no response yet.
Keep mailing them....they will give u if ur statement is legit

Hello house,

I have a bit of a situation here.

Went for visa interview about two weeks ago, the interview was short with just a few questions, and the VO seemed to be interested in approving my visa, until she claimed my bank documents weren't sufficient for study, I tried to convince her, but she said I should instead get additional bank documents and submit them as soon as possible.

I submitted the documents on Monday, and I've been tracking with the CEAC tracker.

Been on "Administrative Processing" since then till yesterday when it changed to "Refused", I wasn't happy about this and couldn't understand why. Also the Embassy has not contacted me yet.

So I went online to read up about this and I got a lot of mixed messages.

Now I want to ask if anyone has had this kind of experience, and what does this mean.

Thank you.
What were some of the message content

You've been denied, right? That one is even better because you will see your VO face to face. However, with the UK processing, you only submit your application. If you qualify, you get. If you don't, you won't. Meanwhie, you will still need to say the truth that you were denied US visa before.

Good luck!
Provided u know what u wrote there. How much is the total visa fee?

Apologies Roniex....I do not really feel bad,but i just do not like ur usage of 'lol'.
By the way,i repeat, those questions were not asked...Vos dont ask questions directly or imply it. Home-tie was what disapproved me though the question was not direct.

I understand how you feel now but please don't transfer your aggression on me. In your words, you came here and asked anyone who had an opinion to state it. You particularly said it might be approval or denial.
I read your transcript and I 'delayed' you and also gave you my corrections. I told you not to use generic answers and sculpt out unique answers of your own.
Even if the questions you posted here weren't asked, you probably used one of those generic answers I advised you against.

Next time, if you are not ready to hear the truth, don't ask for criticisms.
I hope and sincerely pray you get it next time.
Goodluck
Lol,ppl funny o....I repeat again,did I ask u anything?

I hope you get it next time Mr Flaame.

Did I say anything...I didn't ask u anything

roniex2:
No don't say that. They didn't beg anyone to apply so you can't say they are stealing 'our' money recklessly. Besides a lot of people are getting their visas every day.
Sorry about your denial. You posted your mock interview some days ago and I remember I denied you. Did you work on what I corrected you on?
Am sorry for your supposed help...but that question was not asked.

I hope you get your visa the next time you try.

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Flaame(m): 2:16pm On Aug 24, 2018
Well, todays interview was not successful,it was my first n I tried to give my best. Can't say I didn't try. But I just learnt one thing.....The U.S president n government opened 2 business centres in Lagos n abuja.
They are just stealing our money recklessly.

roniex2:
Hey bro. You really tried with this but I would delay you if I was the VO.
Please work on 'how did you hear about this school' and 'why this school'. It's too generic and I am sure they must have heard it hundreds of times that day. Come up with your own answers. Something they don't o hear often or they have never even heard before (let it be unique) and you will be granted. All the best. I await your testimony
Ok.....thanks for your opinion.

BigFrancis,Lagosismyhome, walspring, nahum, ubah, freshstarz, and naughtyvirgin....Please I will be posting my final transcript for review in regards to my interview. I need ur opinions
Vo: Hi,good morning,passport and I20 please
Me: thank you(pass them)
Vo:what is your intent?
Me: Am going to st. Cloud state Uni for my undergraduate degree in computer engineer
Vo: Why U.S?
Me: Sir/Ma,the quality of tertiary education in the U.S is top notch. I also believe that the U.S is the best place to get the best education in science and technology. I need the best possible education for my undergraduate degree and after-study plans
Vo: How did you hear about the school?
Me: I saw the school on internet while using collegeCal and USnews to look up for good engineering schools with small faculty ratio and also affordable tuition rate. I came up with St. Cloud and 2 other schs after much evaluation.
Vo: How many schs did u apply to?
Me: 3 schs(st. Clouds state uni,bethany lutheran college,claflin uni).
Vo: what is the relationship btw the schs?
Me: Well, they all nice schools and has small faculty ratio that really enhances proper interaction btw students, and with their lecturer.
Vo: So why St. Cloud?
Me: apart from the fact that I got an out-of-state tuition waiver, the school has an active student organization that are branches of national and international organizations that provide professional engagement and social interaction opportunities. I also contacted Mrs. Ling Hou and Mr. Michael Glazos, they were able to help me out with all the infos I needed concerning my department. So I decided St. Cloud was the perfect place for me.
Vo: Tell me about the course?
Me: computer engr is a branch of engr that integrates several fields of comp science n electronic engr required to develop computer hardwares and softwares. It is a branch of engr that involves almost all our daily activities.
Vo: why the course?
Me: I have this plan of setting up an ICT private enterprise somewhere in Lagos or my state upon graduation. So with this course,I believe i will be equipped adequately with all the knowledge and skills required to set this dream firm here in nigeria upon graduation. The mandate of this firm is to work or maybe partner with bigger companies like mtn, glo,or even banks by providing softwares for them. In the long run,I intend to propose my idea of an ICT institution to my state commisioner....an institution that will nurture young n talented minds to get exposed to computer knowledge. By so doing,I will be giving back to my country.
Vo: did you take any standardized test?
Me: yes,the SAT(say score too)
Vo: How many credit hrs and what are some if the courses u will have this semester?
Me: 106,I need a gpa of 2.5 to graduate to every academic year. Maths,Electrical and comp engr, physics, etc.
Vo: who is your sponsor?
Me: my uncle
Vo: why ur uncle?
Me: as his favorite nephew,he has been partially taking care of my education for a long time. So when I told him about my plan to study abroad and my after-study plan,he was so excited about and promised to take care of the responsibility.
Vo: when did u graduate from high sch?
Me: 2014
Vo: (looks up)what have u been doing?
Me: After graduation,I went into freelancing and blogging on sports but was not very successful because I lacked skills. I then decided to take a break and acquire the skills required first. So I enrolled in royals computer institute where I learnt more on comp skills. I came back into the business a lot more successful. I have been doing this till I decided that it was time to soar higher unto my next level.

Please what would you decide if u were the V.Ohuh Be honest whether approval or denial. Thanks!

Only a VO can ascertain .... but you can say if comes up you are working with the school on an extension and then go trouble the school in extension even if it just 1 or 2 weeks more
The school said d only option is to defer. Thanks though, however,I think their should be an amendment for this inconvenience from them

Might be best to go for the interview .... get the visa then defer that way you don't lose the visa fee
Yes,this is the best advice so far. But can it work that way?
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Flaame(m): 5:47pm On Aug 21, 2018
Spotlighte:
I think you should defer to Spring 2019 (or the November semester everybody's talking about now). Now, you have enough time to get your visa, and prepare adequately for your travel.

Success!
And just let the visa fee go like thathuh

Helllo BigFrancis,walspring,lagosismyhome,nahum....My visa interview was earlier scheduled on 15th august but was rescheduled to 24th(friday)cos of the abuja issue. My school resumes on 27th and I still have 3 working days to pick up my passport. And that is exactly 27th. I cannot cancel the appointment cos it is of no use to,the only option is to go ahead and have the interview. Now I have asked one of my counsellor to give me an I20 extension and he said that it is too late for that that I have an option to defer, pls what should I do?

I know this is a faceless forum but this doesn't speak well of you. You should know why you want to study a particular course. You should know why you're going for another Bachelor's. You should know why you're changing courses. You really should.

Why not post your mock transcript here so the house can help make it better?
Yes,post your mock transcript here for review and evaluation

I know. Was wondering if anyone who had their interviews between 11-14th at the Abuja consulate have received their passport. I was at the Abuja designated pickup point in Wuse yesterday. Wanted to ask if they had received any new batch of stamp passport since the closure announcement was made. They said they have not received any new batch of passports from the consulate since Tuesday. So I am guessing all activities are grounded till the consulate reopens. Was hoping that paper work and other necessary documentation would continue inspite of the closure.
Your case is even better than mine...when will your school resume? My interview was scheduled 15th but was rescheduled to an indefinite date. Worst is,school resumes on 28th.
