Kirusky4life: Hello house, pls I need help. I had my interview today at Lagos. I was not approved neither was I denied. After the interview, the VO said my scholarship is not reflecting on my profile. He gave me a white paper with my passport back, saying once I update my profile to reflect the scholarship, I should send the prove of update and and my passport via dhl. Pls I don't understand what am suppose to do and the paper he gave me did help much. Anyone had such an experience before, pls where exactly should I do the update. I will Share my full transcript once a decision is made by them. Please help a sister Why dont you contact the school and twll them about this? Maybe d are on the verge of approving u...if they had wanted to deny you,no need of asking you for that stuff. Just follow up the process carefully n act fast too. Above all,be prayerful. Goodluck! |

I just realised I made a mistake on my ds160, instead of 29months I indicated 18 months for my duration ofstudy..on my I20 the start date is January10 2019 to may31st 2021..should I tell the v.o before the proper interview or I should ignore it? going for my mba at ashland university, ohio and my interview is on 5th of Dec . Ignore it unless you r asked. Then defend reasonably. |

Ubah1: Scholarship/school Funding is scarce during spring time and embassy verifies statement of account now. So it's only those with enough personal funds will go for their interview Personal funds kee?....How many students have millions in their own account?....Put it this way 'genuine and sufficient bank statement' |

Sorry I attacked that way though but you can't know who's genuine and who's not. I posted my transcript....many saw it,but u didnt see it cos u didnt look well. By the way,am not just here to help anybody,am here to learn as well. |

Predstan: Have you been approved? You sound like you are well more experienced than those that their VISA were denied. Your Visa was denied sometimes ago, should I just say u weren't a genuine student that's why you were denied?
While I am not against what you have said. Just understand that even genuine students are denied Visa. Scholastica was also denied once before being approved in his second attempt. I have not been approved, yes! But if only you have been following this trend well and see the kind of questions people ask here,u would have understood my point a lot better. |

Predstan: You see them dissecting transcript like they are dinning with the VOs. The school fee of that guy is just 48k. I don't know where the 63k comes from. Desist from all this nonsense and focus on your own. You can't lead someone to success if you have not had a good experience in that field or situation. Nnanna,do your research well,ok? |

From the grammar some of us use and the questions most people ask here,it is just glaring that most of us aren't genuine students.....so to say,it is one of the reasons for high visa disapproval. |

I have been wondering but always kept silent. Why is WES such an issue Personally,I have no business with any schoop that has any business with WES....I mean, there are hundreds of schools that don't have any biz with WES. Dudes,go for those schools and leave WES and their wahala. Just saying my mind,so feel free to disagree with me. |

uzzyj: Good day fam, my visa was delayed in lagos embassy yesterday 19th October, 2018 and below is my transcript. Please advise and correct my flaws. I'm open to any form cos am already sick. Though, I intend to reapply soonest.
VO' Hi, pass me your i20 and passport Me- Good morning, here you go VO- why are you going to the US Me- In going for my master's degree in Sustainability management at Illinois institute of technology in Chica go VO- How do you intend to pay for your tuition cos it's expensive Me- I have been working for 3 years. so I have savings and my uncle who is a successful poultry farmer and also a major distributor of poultry farm products in Ibadan, Oyo State will cater for the rest VO- even the average American citizen can't foo t the bill Me- told her well, with my uncles sponsorship and my savings, I can afford it. She didn't request for any bank statement or anything. She replied I'm ineligeable for visa. You simply denied urself by being unnecesarily persistent on being able to support yourself on a school that pays $63,417 even though u mentioned ur uncles help too. You shouldnt have even mentioned yourself in d first place. Come on bro,u are talking about paying about 26million per year, who would wanna sacrifice such money for his nephew, not even child? And I bet you had no form of assistanship...that is to say, scholarship. Your reason for denial is as clear as a mirror. |

May she or you not be granted the visa!
Nonsense!!! Jeez!!!! My guy easy na...u are mean o |

Ogakings: You
No fake documents... Jezz, can't do that. Well the first interview, the VO asked VO: what's your purpose of travelling? Me: for studies VO: how do you got to know about the school? Me: through my elder brothers friend VO: who's your brother Me: he's my sponsor called his name with some other explanation Vo: when did he travel to America Me: he's a banker I goes often for business VO: know I mean Mr uche(uche is my uncle who stays and work in America, I used his name in my ds 160 because I was asked if I had any relative staying their) Me: I became dumbfounded because I list expected the question of family members, and I started explaining my relation with uche the VO kept on asking question Vo: which school did he study at Vo: how long has he been in America Vo: what dose he do Vo: wow... It's a pity you don't know you brother too well that's bad... Then the blue papers and the try again grammar Me: almost about to cry with a straight face working out disappointed .. ..
The second interview.. My DS160 has expired so I didn't get to meet with the VO, the lady checking in turned me back and rescheduled Then the next appointment I missed it because my SOA did not arrive earlier.
The 4th one was at Lagos with the 1million people attending, after checking in... VO: can I have your passport? Me: yes of course, morning to you, nice outfit.. VO: thanks dear Vo: what's your purpose of traveling Me: for studies Vo: what's the name of the school Me: McLennan community college Vo: how did you get to know about Me: it's through online search and my uncle suggested it VO: why did you chose the school Me: because they recorded a great remarks on bio medical course among other schools in Texas with great reception and audience from the student coordinator(amanda straten) with a good atmosphere and it's location located towards the northern river of something something like that with noteable alumni like bla..bla bla.. Vo: why did you choose bio-medical course.. Me: it effect in Morden medicine which has not been incoroprated in Nigeria health sector bla bla bla.... Vo: what courses will you be undertaking Me: us English 101..maths, 112..maths 102 history.. 101 etc VO: did take any international exam? Me: no Did you apply to other schools and which one Me: yes.. I started naming the schools... VO... With the blue paper and their normal try again later grammar... Me: sorry if I may ask, why the denial? VO: sorry it's confidential Me: did I say anything improper? Vo: No,its confidential and protocol! Me: thanks and have a great day... Vo: smiled.. You are welcome
This has been my experience.. Well from my own perspective, here are the faults I noticed 1) Your responses deviated from the first interview, like in 'how did u get to know this school' 2)No standardized test,no other sch,and just a comminity college 3)What courses woild you be taking....U are supposed to say something like 'anatomy, blah blah blah, key courses, not just the code name or call it mother courses..and you might have lost your confidence while being interviewed Thanks,my own say though |
