Good evening!
I just opened an EE profile but while I did the eligibility check i was told that my husband wasn't eligible when I didn't put my ielts results and when I repeated the eligibility check again, this time around with my own ielts results included, I was now told that we are eligible.
My question is; I want to do a remark for my ielts and I was told that I shouldn't use the ielts result until the remark is done. Can I still complete our express entry profile just with my husband's ielts (who is the principal applicant) or if I put my ielts is it possible to edit it when the result comes out since I'm not the principal applicant

You can always edit it before you receive an ITA. If you get your ITA before the remarking is done, then you can add a letter of explanation.

What city will be best for me, I operate gas turbine in Nigeria a power station where electricity is generated, NOC A in canada - Power Engineer

I will suggest the entire Province of Alberta. Don't limit yourself to any city or town. You can land in Calgary or Edmonton and launch from there.

for CCNA an IT certification what city is good for it
for PMP certification project management what is good for it.

Toronto is your best shot! A lot is also going on in Vancouver, but accommodation/cost of living is quite high there.

Hi guys, pls I have a brief question to ask.

I want to submit my salary account for POF but the balance is less than 500k. I have small cash in my other accounts I.e 200k, 120k and 178k in my other accounts. I also have FD and Treasury bills with 2 other banks. Do I need to submit bank statements of all the banks or should I transfer the little cash to one account (salary accout) and print statement. Then show also my FD and T bills.

I suggest you transfer the other funds to your salary account and use just that one.

Please I need a quick answer to this question before I select a province.

Which province is one likely going to get a Job offer in Food production company (FMCG) or to be more specific in a brewery? A production company not suited to food production may be considered as well.

I currently work as a shift packaging Manager in a Brewery.

Ontario, Alberta, BC

@Flaiboy: I teach mathematics in a public secondary school and my wife is also a teacher(School Counsellor). Are there teaching opportunities for immigrant teachers in Canada?

Thanks.

There are teaching opportunities across Canada, cos quite a number of provinces have been making more investments into public education. To teach in Alberta, where I live, pls check https://education.alberta.ca/applying-for-teacher-certification-the-guide/steps-to-apply-for-teacher-certification/

Each province has its own requirements, but that should help you if you want to move to Alberta.

Thanks for sharing. It has been said that Canadian employers value Canadian qualifications and certifications.

Once PPR lands, are there certifications that one can initiate from here before landing? What certifications would you recommend for a person whose experience is in banking?

I know this message was for Zandora, but think I can help base on my experience here. The certifications I will recommend are csc, cfp, mutual funds, etc. You can initiate the process from naija, get your course materials, start studying and write the exam when you land. Check out www.csi.ca.

Hello, I have my first degree in IT but I've worked in a bank since I finished nysc so no real IT working experience. I want to ask, if I use my banking experience for my PR application which I have to, can I still get jobs in IT when I land Canada? I want to move back to IT, what's your best advice?

You can definitely get IT jobs. While processing your PR application, I will suggest u start acquiring IT certifications that will give you an edge when you start applying for IT jobs.

For those that applied online and were issued TRV, pls what day did u take ur passport to the embassy? Is there a specific day or anyday is fine?
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by flaiboy: 8:49pm On Jan 10, 2014
Hey guys, got a msg in my CIC inbox requesting for my passport for final visa processing. Meaning my TRV is ready!
I applied online on Dec 8 as a self sponsor and I'm heading to MUN for MASc Environmental Systems Engineering & Mgt. I have a first degree in Environmental Engr/Tech, but I presently work with one of Nigeria's leading bank in Lagos.

Start date: May 2014
Program fee: $22,000
Online app submission: 08/12/13
Biometrics: 11/12/13
Med request: 03/01/14
Med done: 04/01/14 @Asaju
Passport request: 10/01/14

DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED

1. Study permit and family information form.
2. SOA N6.5m, May 01 to Dec 05 2013.
3. Past investment certificates; employment letter; telex copy and receipt of $2000 tuition deposit; pensions statement; 3 months pay slips; affidavit of self support; and executive summary of financials.
4. Letter of Acceptance
5. Passport and police clearance cert
6. 3 page SOP; CV; academic transcript; nysc discharge cert; and local & intl awards.

Will truly like to say a big thank you to the house, cos I've been following this thread since June 2013 and read from Pg 1 of Part 1 to date. The things I learnt actually helped me to package my docs effectively.

I will like to clearly state that withdrawal of funds from your acc after printing of statement does not raise any red flag. The funds in my acc came in Nov as lump sums, cos I had to liquidate my investments in the money market and I printed on Dec 5th. After printing, I moved all the funds on the 6th, cos I do a lot of investing, therefore, I dont leave so much in my acc. The embassy does not ask for ur present acc bal as at the time they contact the bank, cos the bank is bound by the law not to release ur financial information to any third party without a written approval from u. The only orgs that are exempted are CBN, EFCC, NFIU and ICPC. All embassies have signatory booklets of all banks in Nigeria. When u submit ur statement to them, they compare the signatures on the statement with what is in the sig booklet. If they are not comfortable with it, they contact the desk in head office to confirm the authenticity of the statement. THEY DONT ASK FOR PRESENT BALANCE, cos they are not entitled to know that. The only details they are entitled to are the ones in the statement u gave them. If they want to confirm present bal, its left for them to ask you for a new SOA with specified date. Please this is a fact and not here say. I hope this info will help some people.

Also note that ur SOP is key. Explain as much as u can or u are comfortable with, even if its 10 pages, #just saying. It may be the only opportunity u have to make the VO understand certain things that he/she is not clear with in ur app. Then trust in God. Ask to for wisdom to effectively package ur docs.

Lastly, if you are new here, I'll recommend you pay the sacrifice to read through the whole thread. It will really help u. If u cant, at least read thru part 4 & 5, since a lot has changed recently in Canadian visa app. God bless and favour us all (admission, medic, & trv hopefuls and those already in canny). Amen!

Uwem Jimmy: Pls fellow NL, is telex copy from bank an evident of tuition payment or the tuition receipt itself? Pls advice!

Telex copy is proof that the bank has initiated an offshore trf on ur behalf and ur acc has been debited based on ur request. Its an evidence bro, but like greatheights said, u can just chill till u get ur receipt. Follow up with the school to make it faster.

Hello Fislag I got denied for january 2014 after taking medicals and paying full tuition.
I am planning to reapply tomorrow now for a program in May. I noticed u talkin about online applications. I honestly didn't know its active in Nigeria already.
My medical results are still active for May and that will probably save some 3 to 4 weeks off the normal duration.
Considering all these factors, would u still advise me to go ahead with my normal paper application I want to submit tomorrow or change to online application since I hear its faster.
Thanks!

Pls apply online, its been proven to be fast and efficient.

Okay, but my mum was saying I should apply again through the paper route. But with a better closing balance.

If I'm to apply through the paper route will I have to leave the originals of my documents with CDHC?

Pally, online route is still the best. Tell ur sponsor to liquidate the tbills and fixed dep and let the funds be in her acc for some time. Then refire with a good closing bal. That's all u need to do. If u dare paper route, u'll wait for ages. But its still ur call
