NDLEA commences raids on clubs, hotels and bars in Ibadan

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Oyo State Command, on Monday commenced the raiding of hotels and clubs in Ibadan.

The agency said that the action was to check drug trafficking and the use and sales of abusive substances.

The state Commandant, Mrs Omolade Faboyede, said this through the agency’s Public Relations Officer {PRO} Mrs Mutiat Okuwobi, in Ibadan.

The agency’s chief in a statement said that the first in the ongoing raids took place at 8.30 p.m. on Sunday at a beer parlour in Sango area of Ibadan.

“The raid resulted in the interception of some abusive substances including 30 kegs of “Skrushy’’ drink and 20 bottles of the same drink.

“Others were ladies’ bag containing cannabis sativa, bottles of codeine syrup, and 10×1ml Pemadex Dexamethasane injection, 11 shisha pipes and its pots.

“It is worthy to note that “Skrushy” is a cocktail drink that contains mixture of different hard drugs including cannabis sativa, codeine, tramadol and watermelon to give it flavour,” she said.

According to her, the combination or mixture depends on how sophisticated the area is.

Faboyede said that NDLEA officials would still visit more joints and hotels where the illicit transaction was taking place.

She noted that the agency’s recent investigations revealed that ladies and young adults were more prominent in the sales and usage of “skrushy” drink.

Faboyede cautioned drinking joints popularly known as pubs and hotels against the sales of these illicit and abusive substances.

She said that such drugs including “skrushy” could result in temporary psychosis.

The officer urged the media organisations in the state to supply the agency with useful information on drug peddlers.

She said that through that the agency and the public would be stop drug abuse and it's attendant crimes

It was gathered that the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Okwudili Azinta, had ordered investigation into alleged involvement of soldiers attached to the Oyo State security outfit, Operation Burst, which has men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the police and soldiers.

Also, Police Commissioner Abiodun Odude said the soldier and other suspects fingered in the killing were arrested and taken to the State CID for further investigation into the killing.

Speaking through the command’s spokesman Adekunle Ajisebutu, a Superintendent of Police (SP), the police commissioner said: “Those allegedly involved in the incident made their statements. The soldier has made a statement while investigation continues.”

Though Ajisebutu did confirm whether or not the soldier and others involved in the killing were detained after making their statement, a source said: “The soldier and others named in the killing have since remained in custody while investigation into the murder case continues.”

Last week, some military officers from the 2 Division of the Army visited the Iyaganku police headquarters in line with the order by the GOC to conduct an investigation into the killing of Kehinde Adeleke.

A source said some witnesses were invited while the soldiers questioned them on the incident.

It was learnt that the report of the investigation would be sent to the GOC to ascertain the alleged involvement of the soldiers in the killing.

3. How much were they paid for the smear campaign

55H+ lightens over time but like QEI+ it works better with the serum; the more the serum the lighter you get. You should see changes in 6-8weeks. Do ensure you exfoliate regularly.

I know your question was directed at me. However work with Kuddy Cosmetics and I can confidently tell you that the company that makes QE1+ products do not make shower gels for them. Nigerians, Cotonou people have designed something on their own due to popular demand. So that shows gel is not from the company. Same with Extreme glow shower gel and Makari shower gel. Makari only has baby wash not shower gel for adults.
