Remain calm and continue praying. Dont put ur life on hold while waiting. pursue your other dreams do not reject a juicy offer all in the name of waiting. If you get an opportunity to change your location even if its outside the country pls do not reject it because you are waiting. If you like to further your studies pls do. I have seen a lot of ladies who have practically kept their lives on hold while waiting. A lady refused to go for her masters on scholarship abroad cos she says she's old she wants to get married. Its 2yrs now still she isnt married. Whatever you like to do pls go ahead and do it. who know you mite meet the one while at it. do not let the pressure from family weigh you down I understand you cos I'v been in ur shoes and probably still is. Trust in God and who ever he gives you try to be contented with it AFTER you have prayed. Do not settle for less because of pressure but while at it put in mind that he mite not come in the exact package you want him but trust in God to give you the best. Wish you all d best |

Read this now and could not help but share. This accurately depicts our behavior. Nigerians and our wahala crying more than the bereaved. Nigeria i hail thee MANDELA'S BURIAL...fleet heading out to Johannesburg with the largest official delegation to the funeral. And that is not counting the convoy of private jets of uninvited Nigerian state governors that will head out to Johannesburg for the obligatory I-was-also-there ritual. And that is not counting the chartered flights that will convey half the National Assembly to Johannesburg. And there could be private jets of opposition leaders claiming to have been invitedto the funeral by Jacob Zuma the way they were invited by Barack Obama to the democratic convention. Anesh Maistry , my diplomat brother, knows one or two things about the size of Nigerian delegations from seasoned experience. He’d better advice his people to start preparing. Does O. R. Tambo International Airport have enough room for the impending torrential rain of jumbo jets from Nigeria? _________________ One final memo to our South African friends before I move on with my one ear to my regular internal Nigerian migraine. This talk of the possibility of a low key burial that I’m hearing, is it true? You guys should not play with bad thing o. In Nigeria, passage to ancestorhood after a life well lived beyond 70 is an occasion for carnivalesque of epic proportions. Depending on your means, you empty a brewery and send several cows to meet their maker. In a certain part of the country, ruinous bank loans are in order for aso ebi and days of owambe partying to usher the departed into a gentle breeze of bliss alias “afefe rere”. I warned you guys yesterday that we could be hitting Joburg with about a hundred jumbo jets – half of us uninvited. We don’t travel for low key affairs. So, I must warn you that it is never beyond us to do these things properly on behalf of the owners of the affair. It is never beyond us to do things properly on behalf of Africa and the black world. When it comes to spending our petrobillions, we make it our responsibility to weep louder than the bereaved. Ask brotha Barack Obama. When his people in America showed signs of not knowing how to organize a proper fund raiser for his last Presidential election, we gathered together in Lagos and organized one of the most expensive fund raisers in history to fund the re-election of brotha Barack in America. The fund raiser was led by the then Chairperson of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Never mind that it was completely illegal and there was no way to get the money to brotha Barack. To this day, we still don’t know what happened to the funds raised but we taught the Americans a vital lesson in how to organize an electoral carnival. I’m saying this just so you know that we are perfectly capable of returning to Abuja from your reported low key affair in Joburg to organize a proper and befitting funeral of Nigerian proportions for Madiba. You, the real owners of Madiba, may not even be invited but we’ll do it before the world’s cameras in order to teach you how to party. We could shut down Lagos and Abuja for a week of partying. Do not say we did not warn you. - By Pius Adesanmi |

Hi all I have noticed that so many people like to buy things from India but sometimes have problems paying online or shipping it down to Nigeria. I can help you buy whatever you want and send it to Nigeria either by Cargo or courier depending on the product. The things dont have to be from online stores. I buy things from market and send to people too. Just tell me the product and I'll make inquiries about it and tell you the cost. |

It can never happen. even the indians are trying to abolish the thing cos they pay so much. they pay as much as $50,000 to get married to a man from a moderately rich background. Some girls never get married because of that and some poor parents kill their girl child at infancy cos of this. Should Naija now go back to uncivilization after we have at least been a lil civilized in that aspect (marriage rites). |
I suggest interested members who stay in the six geopolitical zones should come together and arrange to visit a place within their region. For example those from north central can pick a place in Minna or kogi which are at the center of the region. with this it will be easy for many members to participate. because most people may not be able to travel to the location if its too far from where they live. |
Recently I have read a lot of things online about Nigerians and Indians. All these have made me so weary of Indians so much that I'm scared to even travel alone. I happen to live in a very dry city in India which makes me travel from time to time mostly to Delhi. However, with the news going round about Nigerians in India I have decided to stay in one place. With all I have read I am beginning to think all Indians are racist and they hate Nigerians in particular.Although I am trying hard not to generalize and form this impression about them all. I have Indian friends whom I share so many things with. They invite me to their homes and they come to mine too. We exchange recipes, hang out together and i even spend nights in their homes sometimes. Should I just abandon them or I become suspicious of their moves? I cant possibly do that. And today I have met two Indians who have come for training in my school. One, Niha was so excited to know that I am a Nigerian. She went on and on telling me how good and nice Nigerians are. She told me about her many Nigerian friends, some who have graduated and some that are still around. There and then she called one of them who happens to be from Adamawa Nigeria. From the way she talked to him you could see that they have a very good rapport. The other, Pankash had always been an acquaintance of mine, and just today he asked where I'm from. I told him Nigeria and the first thing he said is that Nigerians are very dangerous. I immediately told him that is it because of one news he heard about Nigerians in Goa that made him generalize. I asked him if he thinks I'm dangerous and he said no. He began to apologize and said he was only joking. Now this is what Chimmamanda Adeche termed ''The danger of a single story". For Pankash probably he had never even heard about Nigeria until the Goa event. He didn't even know I am Nigerian until today. Probably the only story he has heard about Nigeria is that Nigerians are dangerous, hence his opinion that Nigerians are dangerous. As for Niha, obviously she has met some very wonderful Nigerians so she has a very good impression about them. Maybe she heard the Goa story, yet she still has this good impression about Nigerians. The same way I still don't think Indians are so bad even after all I have read in recent times about them. As humans we seem to be quick to have certain impression about people based on the first story we hear about them. Europeans and Americans for example may have the impression that Africans are poor because the only stories or the first story they heard about us are about hunger and poverty. When we hear Sudan or Afghanistan, what comes to mind is war, war, war. Two weeks ago I met some Afghanistan who came for training in my school. These people did not look like they were coming from a war torn country. They looked just as good as U and I. They have good jobs back home and what comes to mind when you meet them on a neutral ground is definitely not war. I can say same for my sudanese friends. The moral of the story is that we should not because of one story form a specific impression about a group of people. In every place we have good and bad people. Everybody should first of all be identified as an individual before being identified with his community, religion, race e.t.c If everyone of us can be objective and Open minded then we will not be quick to form an impression about a certain group of people based on just one or a few stories. |
This news is not true. Apparently the news was published by one Nationalreporter.net which is a humour website knwn for publishing stories just for ppl to laugh. their disclaimer page states thus; "National Report is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways. All news articles contained within National Report are fiction, and presumably fake news. Any resemblance to the truth is purely coincidental." |

I have a friend from Zambia who told me that when she was growing up her mum used to tell her to tie a wrapper over her trouser anytime her dad comes back from work. She used to tell her dat she shouldnt wear trousers when her dad is around dat does she want to seduce her dad. I was wondering d need for that but with these kinds of stories mothers cannot be too careful. some of us were very lucky even at 12yrs old I could still sleep in my uncle's room even with my head on his chest. Till I go my bathroom tushed up i had my bath in my dad's bathroom let me say till like 21yrs. sometimes i took naps in my dads room during d day (never spent d night o). these days with all these stories I conclude dat some parents my mum included were quite careless. |
aventura: I hope lagosians can see what development means and not the crap they post here. These people have it all but they don't make noise about it. Watch and learn.yes it is development but ask dat guy dat how is the road from calabar to obudu then you will know dat this is not all wat devpt is abt. this is an elitist development. how many average nigerians can visit this place. if you go by road during d rainy season its double wahala. The place is Wow no doubt dats the first place dat really wowed me. back to OP nice pictures Obudu ranch is a nice place to be |
