Adebashy: I want to ask if a course is to be taught in german, must the person learn german language before applying or the person can learn german in Germany for 1year before starting the course This depends on you. University of Duisburg Essen will give you admission without knowledge of German and provide you with a list of schools you can learn German when you arrive Deutschland. Hence you can secure university admission, register for the language school and also port to Deutschland to learn the language before resuming. In This case previous knowledge of German is not necessary so if you learn it here fine but It’s very expensive learning it there. Hence You will only need to carry your language acceptance letter as well as your admission letter when going to the embassy for interview. |

I was hearing one babe in the other cubicle bombarding the other person with questions.
There is actually no need to panic thou just know The basics questions ppl have put here and you will be fine btw know the name of your course in German lol |

shasha25: Went for my interview on the 18th of July. i got to the embassy before 6am, waited in the queue for about an hour and was later ushered in after arranging my documents at the point of entry (Paulinus shouted at me for bringing out my visa fee-N26,500 lol). we were three persons that came for student visa (moi with 2 friends I met here/WhatsApp group).
I met a young lady that wants to finish me with questions and I also spent more than 45mins with her. all the same, she was calm and i give glory to God.
here are the questions she asked me
*Have you funded
*why did you want to study in Germany
*why not in the US, Uk or canada
Why not in nigeria
Why the school
Master or bsc
Can u speak German
Tell me about Germany
Who is the president of Germany and his party
Who is the Chancellor of Germany and the party
Mention the political parties in Germany
How many countries border Germany, list them
Who did Angela Merkel succeed
What is the capital of Denmark and Czech republic
Which course
Why am I going for the course
Tell me about Germany political system as a political science graduate
Bachelor thesis?
Did you serve?
What did I study
When did I serve n where
my University
When did I graduate
Have i been to Germany or any other schengen country before
who is my sponsor
which school am I going to
why the school
where is the school located in Germany
My plan after studies
finally, she gave me a paper to sign and asked me to fund my account as soon as possible. I figure she was the one one that interviewed someone that entered behind me I heard pronounce ur course name in German lol I’ll upload my transcript soon I was interviewed by one young guy |

dipole2018: Great stuff bro, I also want to use my dorm acct but I read someone say you will transfer twice. Why will i have to transfer twice ? Euro dorm accounts don't have limits I guess. Did you transfer yours once or twice ?
Thanks in advance I did it twice. 8000 on the first day then the rest the next day. This is because the Nigerian government has a policy that no personal transfer must exceed 10000usd daily and 8000 euros is approximately that amount so no bank will do that for you. So do it twice on d second day after u pay ur balance U can do the dorm transfer. Fintiba will send u an email in less than 24 hours and the charges are still less than form A. |

fluxyn: Actually it’s 418 at black market. For me I think using dorm account is better. I used it. And thou you will send twice but it wud drop in less than 24 hours. Yes you will have to deposit twice |

dipole2018: I went to GTB at Maryland Lagos last week. They gave me 428 I turned back, whereas na 422 for black market that same day. I think form A is a scam these days sha. My opinion. Imagine I actually didn’t see this before I posted |
Travel › Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by flange: 7:58pm On Jul 22, 2018 |
domfeyer: Please who has funded or used a Form A recently and please what rate were you given? Well it depends on where you are but I’ll tell you form a is scam. If you have a dorm account you better use that. Last week Monday I went to standard chartered bank hoping to fund but they told me they can’t send money to my account since it was my name and not the school dirEctly. I successfully convinced the manager anyways they took my documents told me to come back the next day. But the rate was 426 inside the bank. When I went out I called an Aboki I knew he gave me rate of 418 Na once I pay the money enter my dorm account. Then did a transfer to fintiba ( between the name of th bank is sutor bank) it took less than 24 Hours for fintiba to send me alert. So moral lesson I saved 80k using my dorm account and of course time. So it’s up to you bro. When you are using black market you know you have to be careful .All the best |

victree007: It depends on your state/city of residence so I can't say for sure. To Benin City/Edo State and Akure/Ondo State is 3400 I think within Lagos is about 1650 so. But take like 6k with you when going. You should be fine. I got a FedEx prepaid envelop in Allen for 850 |

Ndydy: Interview Transcript. Questions I was asked Do you speak German?
What course and why?
What School and semester?
Have you been to Germany?
When and how long?
Why Germany?
Why TU Berlin?
Why not Nigeria ,US or UK? She also asked of other countries I knew where my course was being taught.
Facts about Germany?( Note that follow up questions will be asked based on what you say)
What political party does Angela Merkel belong to?
Name the countries bordering Germany?
Capital of Belgium and Denmark?
What are your plans after study?
What was your bachelor thesis?
Then she collected my prepaid envelope and WAEC card and that was the end.
Visa fee was 26500 always take extra because it changes based on exchange rate of the day.
Things to note-
Come early.
Kindly follow your checklist make sure you have all documents and photocopies as stated.
Bring extra passport photo as I was asked for one extra besides the two I put on my form.
I was asked for my primary school certificate but I told him I did not have it, then he said OK put your secondary school certificate and university cert n transcript.
I came with my old intl passport as biographical document but I didn’t put it. He asked for just baptismal card, library card, vaccination card and old school ID card . I told him I had none and he said OK and asked me to arrange the next document.
Listen to Mr P and avoid asking him questions. Everything you need is written on your checklist. He will direct you on how to arrange your documents. But it helps if you arrange it according to the checklist in 3 batches, so it’s easy for you to reach when he is directing you.
Do not carry bags there you won’t be allowed in with it. Just put all you need in a folder , bring along an extra clear folder. Because he would use it to put your arranged document prior to going into the consulate.
Be Calm and confident. Don’t fabricate, just say what you know and are sure of.
Smile and be cheerful.
Prepare well and I pray God crowns all our effort with success. Thanks for this btw was your motivation letter hand written and how many copies did you submit? |

cronsberg: @ dolpaz , thanks for the advice. However my fear is that the work experience i got is totally not related to my field of study, like imaging i studied computer science/engineering but worked at government ministry not even relating to IT, also worked at some schools as teacher. Basically not a single steady job relating to information technology since graduation. But what do you think if to say i enrol my self in those kind of three or six month software or telecoms trainings here in nija, finish with good grades, then maybe attend some good technology conferences still here in nija, that will definitely improve my cv, but do you think if i combine that improved cv with a good statement of purpose, will that improve my chances of getting the masters admission in the courses you recommended? Cuz going for another four year undergrad i believe is too much time waste. What do you think Dear Cronsberg You might not like these advice sha but ..... I had a similar challenge 4 years ago. Before i continue i hail everybody wey dey this thread, the gurus that made it happen till this time (HonorableSeyi, Futurewise (My guy my guy), Eke, Jigba etc ) . You guys are the best !!! I had a 3rd class degree too in Electrical engineering. I wanted to go and restart in Germany however all my efforts were futile because most schools will only accept those that have minimum of 2.5 German grading and if my calculations are right, a weak second class lower might not even have a chance in these unis talk more of 3rd class. So its better you start to apply for the bachelor's degree especially if your 100 level results are very good you stand a chance other wise. You can try Ravensburg weingarten and DUE. Or you do like me start again with your transcript but of course not naija, Kill it and the German schools go give you admission. You can even do first Year in another school and apply to Deutschland after you get the results but of course u know you will have to be on top of your game. You can also use the these months of your certification to learn German in to B1 and attend studentkollege. The issue of work experience i'm not sure how it is now but then it didn't work. because at that time i had work experience as an Electrical design engineer, had certifications on Automation,Instrumentation, PDMS etc Blah blah Blah Im not sure these Germans cared. All they will tell you is Insufficient Grades. You can still try of course. I actually wanted to do the 1 year get results and port to Deutschland but my GP was too strong after year one so i stayed and finished so i can continue for my Msc there. Its crazy thou but people don do am. i get admission for automation and control engineering now self i dey gather my blocked account money. Finally Gurus Please Help how do we solve this Primary school certificate thing for interview because i don't have mine and i schooled in waffi. Is there any other way out ? |
