The chairman of the cross river state commercial transport regulatory agency,governors office,calabar,Mr Mfon Bassey has commended the state governor,Sen Prof Ben Ayade for the successful groundbreaking ceremony of one of his signature projects,the 260km super highway and the Bakassi deep seaport by President Mohammadu Buhari.

Mr Bassey who made the commendation in calabar while speaking on the importance of the project to economic development and progress of the state noted that the presence of Mr President at the ceremony demonstrated that President Buhari was truly a father to all especially his pledge to facilitate the completion of the project.

The chairman further commended the governor for the remaining resolute and ensuring the harmonization of the Grey areas which had delayed the flag off of the project before now and saluted his courage in overcoming the hurdle.

Mr Bassey also added that with the commencement of work on the signature project,the state has again recorded another milestone in the annals of history and expressed happiness with the visionary leadership of governor Ben Ayade,noting that the twin project,the super highway and the Bakassi deep seaport were major catalyst for the economic transformation and self reliance of the state in the 21st century and beyond.

He lauded the obong of calabar,Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu and all the traditional rulers in the state,former governors of the state,Mr Donald Duke and Sen Liyel Imoke,national assembly,the political class and stakeholders for turning out enmasse to grace the epoch making occasion adding that all commercial transportation operators were highly impressed by the concept of the twin project and pledge their unalloyed loyalty and support to the success of the project and the turn around of the commercial transportation sub sector in the state.
