The reason for collapsing all the regional civil services into the federal civil service by an act of decree by Ironsi was because the Sardunna had began purging hangover colonial employed Ibos in the northern civil service.

In the old eastern region, even a lowly clerk position in non Ibo areas of the eastern region administration was reserved for Ibos.

Peter Obi sacked all non Anambra Indigenes from the Anambra state civil service which saw to Abia state respond in kind by sacking all Anambra Indigenes in the Abia state civil service.

They go about preaching diversity in other people's land, with other people's heritage but the story changes when it gets to their own region.. everything there in South East is reserved for Igbos alone but other people's jobs and political offices should be for everybody.

Very minority and insignificant in the scheme of things..They don't even occupy the whole of Edo state. I doubt there numbers are even up to that of the Egba or Ijesha sub group of the Yorubas.

@OP It's wrong to use the word EMERGING... Ogun State has been an Industrial hub for as far as I can remember.
Those companies you're posting have been in existence for like 5 years or more.. The famous GeePee, producers of GeePee tanks and drums are right there in Ogun state.

What we should be clamouring for now is for the State Government to get to work and fix all the bad link roads.. from Otta all the way to Idiroko and all those other places with industrial hubs, the roads needs to be fixed. The State governor needs to wake up and act.

This is very very unfortunate & nerve wrecking. However, Lagos will never be a "shadow of itself" because of this & other demolitions currently ongoing & probably not stopping anytime soon.

For every one person who gets angry over this demolition & decides to carry their investment out of Lagos, there are already 3-4 others waiting in line to bring in their own investments, so, no Sir: the indices (by all standards) don't point to a slump in Lagos' fortunes rather, it's stock will only continue to go higher by the day.
