The evil man finally does a good deed! Impressive! But what are the strings attached? cos I trust Jim to milk bigger payoff from the system for this. He can never be totally altruistic. |

Politics / Most Annoying Thread You Have Seen On Nairaland Front-page by floriana(m): 9:23pm On Nov 17, 2012 |
Some have been complaining of recent as to why a particular thread makes it to the front page. Obviously anybody will say that about a thread he isn't interested in. However it must be said that there have been some annoying threads on front page of late. My most annoying thread of all time is "Picture of Davido Eating fufu" and "Picture of Psquare drinking garri". I hated those two threads. What's your most annoying FP thread and why? |

Nairaland / General / Re: Am The First To Comment!!!whats The Rational Behind This? by floriana(m): 2:30pm On Nov 13, 2012 |
The truth can never be suppressed. When Seun and his moderators brutally put down the insurrection of the gaari squad who were only seeking an answer to a simple question on the correlation between particular threads and the price of their valued commodity, I knew that like boko haram, another more deadly squad will emerge. Now this is it! I suggest Seun and his cabinet initiate negotiation with this new group and pay adequate compensation instead of the brutal force used on the G-crew. Just my two cent. 1 Like |

Islam for Muslims / Why Are Muslim Imams Not Buying Private Jets? by floriana(m): 9:56am On Nov 12, 2012 |
Late Gabriel Oduyemi, Enoch Adeboye, David Oyedepo and now Ayo Oritsejafor are all owners of large churches in Nigeria. One common thing among these men are ownership of private jet(s). Seeing that in Nigeria, we always do things with 'federal character'. This makes one wonder why the leaders of the other major religion not to go into jet buying spree too. Is it that they don't need it or they just don't know how to raise the cash like their counterpart Christian pastors? 1 Like |
Foreign Affairs / C.I.A Director Resigns Over Extra-marital Affairs by floriana(m): 7:15am On Nov 10, 2012 |
CIA Director Petraeus resigns, admits extra- marital affair CIA Director David Petraeus resigned his post as head of the nation’s leading spy agency on Friday, saying he had engaged in an extramarital affair and acknowledging that he “showed extremely poor judgment.” In a letter to the CIA workforce, Petraeus, 60, said that he met with President Barack Obama at the White House on Thursday and asked “to be allowed, for personal reasons, to resign from my position.” “After being married for 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair,” he wrote. “Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours.” Obama, who was reelected to a second term on Tuesday, said in a statement that he accepted Petraeus’ resignation, praising him for his work at the CIA and for leading U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Petraeus’ departure, sudden and unexpected, appeared to end the public career of a man who played a key role in the Iraq war, led the U.S. Central Command and commanded U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan. It also threatened to usher in a period of instability at the CIA, which is grappling with a plateau in its budget after a decade of steady increases and is fending off questions about its performance before and after the attack that led to the death of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens in Benghazi, Libya. Intelligence sources said that Michael Morell, the agency’s long-time deputy director, would serve as acting CIA chief for the immediate future. Morell, who is well respected at both the White House and on Capitol Hill, had previously served as acting director following the departure of former CIA chief Leon Panetta. Petraeus’ wife, Holly, has been an advocate for U.S. veterans and head of the Office of Servicemember Affairs at the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
