The Nigerian army has disclosed that Boko Haram insurgents waited in ambush for troops of the Nigerian Army at Wala village in northern Borno State, to steal foods being conveyed to the military base.

Col Sagir Musa, the acting Director, Nigerian Army Public Relations who confirmed that the Boko Haram insurgents waited in ambush for the food conveyed to troops of 26 Brigade Garrison, disclosed that soldiers were on patrol and escort duties of civilian merchants and commuters along Wala village on Saturday when they ran into the insurgents, who opened “heavy gunfire on them.” They were however able to fight through the ambush and also recovered two AK-47 rifles.

Musa, said, “During the encounter, troops responded with heavy gunfire, exterminated two terrorists and captured two AK-47 rifles. Subsequently, intelligence revealed that the terrorists were informed by their informants of the troops’ movement, wanting to use the opportunity to grab foodstuffs.”

There's no doubt that most investment opportunities on this forum are rubbish. The moderators should do something about this, people just come to this forum and post all sorts of rubbish as investment opportunities, and some gullible people will even put their money into these rubbish investment opportunities. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has accused Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, of persecuting Muslim students in the institution. According to the Islamic human rights organization, the private tertiary institution is serially violating the fundamental human rights of Muslim students in the institution.

This was disclosed in a press statement circulated on Tuesday, 18th June, 2019 by the Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola.

“Adeleke University is a serial violator of Allah-given fundamental rights of Muslim students. This institution forces Muslim students to attend church on Sundays. It makes it mandatory for students living in the hostel to attend church every Wednesday and Saturday.

“The practice of any other faith on campus except Christianity is banned. Muslim students must not be seen observing Salat. Hijab is a taboo in Adeleke University. Yet all these Islamophobic practices are smartly hidden from prospective students of the institution until they have paid the exorbitant school fees and can no longer withdraw.

“We call on the National Universities Commission (NUC) to come to the rescue of Muslim students in Adeleke University. It is a religious scam. This institution hides under a non-religious nomenclature to ensnare Muslim students into an enclave of religious apartheid.

“In particular, we invite NUC to take a look at the students’ handbook of this institution, especially pages 7, 49, 50, 56 and 60. These pages, to our mind, contain rules that infringe on the religious freedom of Muslim students. As a regulating body, NUC has a duty to intervene in this matter as part of its oversight function on Nigeria’s universities.

“Such intervention is necessary at this juncture to enhance quality control. We remind NUC that man is body, soul and spirit. These three organs must function without hinderance for students to perform maximally. As things stand today, Muslim students of Adeleke University have been deprived of the spiritual component of their humanity. We therefore call on NUC to investigate this issue as a matter of urgency. Religious repression is a potential threat to peace, law and order.

“MURIC is aware that such practices of religious intolerance exist in a few other private universities. We therefore advise Muslim parents and Muslim students to take necessary precaution. They should investigate very well before picking universities of interest.

“Many private universities do not bear Christian names but they pursue Christian evangelical goals. Worse still, they lack the spirit of tolerance. Muslim candidates who have already chosen private universities where they are likely to become victims of Islamophobia are, therefore, advised to apply for a change of university before it is too late.

“Western education was the weapon used by the British colonialists to coerce Muslims into converting to Christianity in the past. The new trick is to use private universities to achieve the same aim or to compromise willing staff of public universities to do the dirty job. It is neocolonialism pure and simple.

“The children of Muslim victims of religious oppression under the colonialists are today the targets of apartheid private universities. Those who oppressed the father when he was in school are bent on persecuting the children. This is the gospel according to the slave-driver. This vicious cycle must be halted at all cost.

“As we draw the curtain, we warn that private and public institutions where Muslim students are denied their Allah-given fundamental human rights are sitting on kegs of gunpowder. We call on NUC to investigate this allegation of religious persecution in Adeleke University, Ede and take appropriate action if found culpable. It will serve as a deterrent for other neo-imperialists masquerading as higher institutions.”

I came to Jos for a short Business trip, so I have decided to sojourn in the City for a couple of days to have a good tourism visits to the beautiful sites of the City.

My first escapade was to the Jos Wildlife Park. I have never been to a Park nor a Zoo hithertho. I decided to visit the Jos Wildlife Park due to its closeness to where I was staying.

I went to the Park excitedly hoping for a beautiful adventure. I paid the compulsory fee sum of N200 for Adults entering to the Park.

Then, I walked straight down to where the animals were caged. Going in, the areas looked so unkept and bushy. Getting to the cages of the animals I discovered most of the cages were either empty or you find skinny animals in the shadow of it selves.
The first animals were two very hungry Ostriches then, l saw an animal looking like a little Tiger looking so hungry, very close to it was a Jackal, it looked so skinny that I wondered the kind of creature it was.
Moving forward, I saw an Elephant being fed by some tourists.

When I got to the cages of Apes, Oh my God. They were so hungry that they were begging for food and edible items from visitors. I saw people throwing all manner of food items at them as food, there were three gorrilas there. The monkeys too looked so hungry and unkept that I thought they were pussy cats. Damn!!
I went to other areas of the Park, I found more empty cages and hungry looking animals.
I felt so disappointed, not even a Staff around the cages to guide people around the Park. Apart form the staff I met at the Entrance gate, I didn't see any other staff inside the Park.

I hereby call on Plateau state Government to do something about the Park or better still convert it to something else.

Its a garter snake.

It is found around green plants.

I was experimenting with a Tomatoes specie in Ajah then and it came.

I researched them and found out they are very useful in tomatoes farms as they help eliminate harmful insects on the farm.

The type I saw was a shade of green.

It is one of the most beautiful creature I have ever seen.

It's also very good at hiding.

It is non- poisonous.

It is common around America but I was so surprised to find it in Lagos Nigeria .
