Mathematics and Accounting are two different areas

A lady bought goods worth ₦200 and paid the shopkeeper with a ₦1000 Note.

The Shopkeeper had no change on him so he went to another Shopkeeper John his neighbour and collected ₦1000 change in ₦200 denominations, with which he settled the lady and she left.

A little while later, John came back angrily after he discovered the ₦1000 note he was given by the shopkeeper was fake, and demanded a replacement.

To avoid trouble, the shopkeeper had to give John another ₦1000 and destroyed the counterfeit which had no real value.

So Question for the geniuses…

How much has the Shopkeeper lost in total?

RomanceSome Lies Our Parents Use To Tell Us......lol by Fmartin(op): 10:25pm On Jul 16, 2016
Here are 5 major stories (lies, all lies!!) our parents used to keep us in line back then:

1. Ojuju Calabar

I don’t know if Ojuju Calabar is the Nigerian version of the Boogey man. Or maybe it’s a masquerade. All I know is that in my house:
Ojuju Calabar will come and get any disobedient and errant child.
Funny how we were all scared of Ojuju Calabar but have never seen one. Even today!

2. Fruit seeds growing out of in your stomach. grin

Every Nigerian child has heard a version of this one. Ever had your parents tell you that if you swallowed a seed (say orange seed) that an orange tree will grow out of your head after a week?
Many Naija kids didn’t sleep because we were too worried about becoming a walking and talking orange tree.

3. The fish and drinking water story cheesy

This story was specifically invented for those children who won’t eat their food but will eat the fish on top and drink lots of water.

4. Coconut water and dullards

I’m sure the reason why many of us stayed away from coconut and it’s water was because our parents told us that coconut water makes children dull.

5. Sticky Gum in Stomachs grin

Remember when your parents told you that if you swallowed gum, it would stick in your stomach and cause problems? Yeah, we were all told that too.

:DWhat other stories did your parents tell to keep you in line?

– Black couple Michelle and boyfriend Gorgio went viral from a picture they posted of their blonde hair

– They have kept posting pictures and now become couple and hair goals

Michelle is an artistic director at Bien Curls in Brooklyn. Her boyfriend Giorgio is a fitness fanatic and model. Together, the pair are a beautiful match, literally.

They posted a casual picture of themselves and it started making waves on Instagram. Fans and fellow Instagram users express their admiration of the couple every time they post a picture. Most have called them ‘couple goals’ with the natural hair community terming them ‘hair goals’ and ‘hair inspiration’.

Giorgio is definitely a catch and always posts lovely pictures of Michelle with captions such as ‘my shugal’, ‘my one and only’, woman crush Wednesday and even ‘relationship goals accomplished’.

The couple always look so gorgeous and in love. yes, we do agree that they are couple goals.
Ladies, would you date a man with hair if he wasn’t this gorgeous?

PoliticsFayose To Aisha Buhari: Wait Till 2018. by Fmartin(op): 8:20pm On Jul 13, 2016
– Governor Ayodele Fayose has told Mrs. Aisha Buhari, to wait until the end of his tenure to sue him for defamation of character

– The Ekiti state governor had accused the president’s wife of been involved in the Halliburton scandal

– Fayose said according to the constitution he remains immune from legal attacks as a governor
Fayose versus Aisha Buhari
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state, has advised the wife of the president, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, to wait until the end of his tenure on October 16, 2018, to sue him for defamation of character, The Nation reports.

He said by virtue of Section 308 of the constitution, he remained immune from legal attacks until the end of his tenure.

The counsel to the president’s wife, Mary Ekpere & Co had written a letter dated June 22, 2016, to Fayose, demanding a retraction of the governor’s statement that the president’s wife was involved in the Halliburton scandal, and threatening legal action if the retraction was not made within five days.

However Fayose in a letter by his counsel, Mike Ozekhome, a copy of which was made available to reporters in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, July 13, said the statement he made regarding the alleged involvement of Mrs. Buhari in the Halliburton scandal was“correct and justified in law, having regards to a court judgment convicting one William Jefferson of bribery in the case.”
The letter reads;“Our client has referred to us your letter dated 22nd June, 2016, on alleged defamation of the character of your client , Her Excellency, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, with firm instructions to reply to and reject same in its entirety.

“Our client states and reaffirms categorically that the statement he made as regards the involvement of Mrs. Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Buhari, in the Halliburton scandal, is correct and justified in law; having regards to a court judgement convicting one Mr. William Jefferson for bribery in the Halliburton case.
“Therein, the name of the President’s wife featured conspicuously. At page 22 of the said judgment delivered by the United States District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division, USA, in criminal No 1: 07CR209, the said Mr. William Jefferson was sentenced at 9:00am on November 13, 2009, by Mark D, Lytle. Your client, Mrs. Aisha Buhari was specifically mentioned in the judgment.”

Premium Times is reporting that no Aisha Buhari was named in the Halliburton bribery scandal and that Fayose was merely confusing the Williams Jefferson bribery case with the Halliburton bribery scandal

PoliticsWhat Does It Entail To Impeach A President? by Fmartin(op): 4:39pm On Jul 13, 2016
What does it entail to impeach a president?

The procedure for removing the president of Nigeria from office are enumerated in Section 143 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended). So far, there is no evidence that the impeachment clause has been activated by the National Assembly.

A Notice of Impeachment requires the signature(s) of at least one-third (1/3) of all the members of the National Assembly. There are 469 members in the National Assembly. A minimum of 157 members of the National Assembly must sign the notice to commence the process.

This must be followed by not less than 10 other steps which must be followed strictly.

Impeachment under the present constitutional regime is a Herculean task. It is not a matter of guts, threats or arrogance. It requires meticulous devotion and compliance to the rules. The procedure listed in Section 143 are in pari materia with Section 188 of the Constitution which provides for the removal of a governor and deputy governor from office.

I can say authoritativelythat over 80% of purported impeachment of governors and deputy governors that have been tested in our courts were decided against the legislature.

The notable impeachment that was sanctioned by the court in the history of our democracy was the case of Balarabe Musa V Auta Hamza (1983) 3 NCLR 229 which took place in the second republic under the 1979 Constitution whose impeachment provisions were substantially altered when the 1999 Constitution was drafted.

The Supreme Court in a number of cases has insisted that the procedure enshrined in the Constitution must be followed strictly. See for example the case of Dapialong v. Dariye (No.2) (2007) 1 All FWLR (pt.373) at 128
It is not easy to impeach the president of Nigeria. The purported moves by some wayward senators can best be described as brutum fulmen (empty threats).

Masonic Significance of the Great Seal

Not only were many of the founders of the United States government Masons, but they received aid from asecret and august body existing in Europewhich helped them to establish this country for a peculiar and particular purpose known only to the initiated few.

The Great Seal is the signature of this exalted body— unseen and for the most part unknown– and the unfinished pyramid upon its reverse side is a trestleboard setting forth symbolically thetask to the accomplishment of which the United States Government was dedicated from the day of its inception.
